intd Introduction Hello, and welcome to the Beginner's Guide to Awesomeness. This is my vision of how a good WarpForce guide should look as. This guide is being updated as much as possible and as quick as possible. Remember, I am only human and any help is greatly appreciated. WarpForce is the official expansion of AdventureQuest. First of all, go and browse a little the WarpForce website located here. These are the sections you should probably visit before/after making an account: About - Learn what is WarpForce. Help - If you have problems with your account, go here! Contact Us - Having issues that the Help pages can't resolve? Contact Artix Entertainment! Privacy Policy - Artix Entertainment follows strick rules about your safety! Terms and Conditions - By playing Artix Entertainment Games you must agree to these conditions. Rules and Policies - The rules you must respect! For Parents - Information for your parents. First thing you have to do is create an account. You can do that by going here or by clicking the "Create a FREE ACCOUNT" button on the Homepage: [img]http://www.battleon.com/warpforce/images/buttons/btn-createFree.gif[/img] craa Creating an Account Step 1! This is what you will see on the Account Creation page: [Screenshot] What can we learn from here? Once you have created an account you will be able to play the game. If you already play AdventureQuest, you can log in with your AdventureQuest account! If you have problems check the Help and Privacy Policy pages. Step 2! Now, click next and you will see this: [Screenshot] Insert your Birth Date and click Next. Step 3! Now the most important part of Creating your Character: [Screenshot] Also, remember that a Username is NOT the Character's name. It is the name of your account from which you access your characters. Use a good and safe password and remember that you can change it later if you want. Step 4! Now, you click Next and this will appear: [Screenshot] Insert a VALID E-Mail adress and click Next. Step 5! Now, you will receive a "Secret Code": [Screenshot] Please write down the secret code! It will come in handy if you have problems with your account! Step 6! Click next and see this: [Screenshot] Please re-type the password and E-Mail you previously typed in and click next. Step 7! One last step: [Screenshot] Click on the green Create button! actg Accessing the Game To access the game page you can either click one of these screen sizes: Or you can simply click on one of these buttons on the WarpForce Homepage: WarpTrooper (Free Player): [img]http://www.battleon.com/warpforce/images/buttons/btn-playFree.gif[/img] WarpGuardian (Membership Purchased): [img]http://www.battleon.com/warpforce/images/buttons/btn-playGuard.gif[/img] Clicking the buttons without setting the screen size automatically opens the game in the default screen size (which is Medium - 800x600). You can modify the screen size from the Scroll Box from under each button. [Screenshot] After entering the Game Screen enter your Username and your Password and click "Log In". Tip! The "Save?" boxes next to the Username and the Password can be checked or unchecked. If you check them, the game will save your username and password in the boxes so you won't have to type them in each time. But don't use this feature if you are on a public computer that other people can access! ccha Create a Character Step 1! You logged in your account and what do you see? Nothing. You have to create a character. Click one of the six "Click to Create New Character" buttons. [Screenshot] Step 2! Chose your character's name. [Screenshot] Step 3! A very important step. Chose your character's BASE CLASS. [Screenshot] Chosing either Striker or Gunner won't stop you from using the opposite class items and stat builds, but this is not changable and it will remain on your character's profiles. Striker - Uses Melee Weapons. Gunner - Uses Ranged Weapons. If you are wondering where's the Magic user, then you will find out in-game that Magic doesn't work outside Lore. There are some Magic-type items and some spells but chosing a Magic using base class is not possible. There is no other difference betwen these two base classes. Step 4! Chose your race! [Screenshot] This is also a very important step! Chosing your race will set your appearance for the entire game! So chose which one you like. Step 5! WarpForce is a very customisable game. In this screen you can alter the appearance of your character's head. [Screenshot] You can also switch genders by clicking the "Male" or "Female" buttons. Use the little arrows to switch betwen colors and styles. After you are satisfied, click Save. Step 6! What are you waiting for? Click Go! [Screenshot] intf Interface Let's start out with the most important thing you see after logging in: The Character's Overall Status. There are no shortcuts or key-combinations, so there is no point in trying to find a way to make farming easier for you. The battles are Turn-based. There are three attack types in this game: Melee, Ranged and Magic. Each one has a primary stat: Melee - Strenght | Ranged - Dexterity | Magic - Intellect. There are 6 stats that are meant to help your character: Strenght, Intellect, Dexterity, Endurance, Luck and Charisma. There are also 8 elements and a non-element: Fire, Water, Wind, Ice, Earth, Energy, Light, Darkness and Void (or element X). Each battlesuit has its own element, combat defences, element resistances, battlesuit skills and/or special or multiple attacks rates (if the battlesuit has special or multiple attacks). Each gauntlet has its own element, combat defence bonus, element resistance bonus, gauntlet skill and/or special effect rate (if the gauntlet has a special effect). The Game ---- eqpm Equipment To find the best equipment for your level you can browse the various threads in the Encyclopedia: Battlesuits Gauntlets Weapons Pets and Guests Skills and Techs Miscellaneous Items Tip! If you are a Striker you can use moneybags' Guide to Weapons&Stats of a WF Striker to find the best equipment! stsb Stats & Stat Builds A very important part of the game are the Stats and the Stat Builds. Stats are also known as Attributes. These are the bonuses of each Stat: Strenght - + Melee weapon damage. | + Bonus accuracy with Melee weapons. Dexterity - + Bonus accuracy for all atacks. | + Bonus damage for non-Gun, non-Tech Ranged attacks. | + Dodge abillity. Every time you level up you get 5 Stat Points which you can train them into one of the 6 stats at Tronzor. Tip! Do not spread your stat points equally on all 6 stats. Chose one or two and concentrate on those. Tip! If you are a Striker you can check out moneybags' Guide to Weapons&Stats of a WF Striker for possible stat builds. By the way you put your stat points into your Stats you have a certain Stat Build. There are quite a few known stat builds that are actually very good and that are recommended for everybody, not just new players. If you can't figure out the Stats for each Stat Build then check out AVA's =WF= Stats Training for good Stat Builds. fsms First Mission - Join the WarpForce As soon as you create a character this will be his first mission. The purpose of this mission if to show you how you got into the LSS Alteon (in the WarpForce team), to introduce you to some NPCs and Zorbak will even MAKE you learn the basics of battling. In an EBIL way. So there is not much to say here. Defeating the monster in this quest will level up your character to Level 1. A few screenshots from this mission: Above Lore, Meeting Zorbak, My First Battle. Make sure you buy something from the shop at the end of the mission! A weapon or two... Don't wory about Skills/Tech or Pets yet. Save your money! tbms The Bridge Missions qprm Queen Pra'Mithia's Missions Queen Pra'Mithia has a few missions including the WarpForce Saga. [Screenshot] "Hello, <<Player Name>>-- It is so good to see you! I hope you are finding the accomodations aboard the Alteon to your liking." Click the "WARPFORCE SAGA!" button. [Screenshot] ---------- mssa This is also the first mission your character does after his first Log In. The Encyclopedia entry should cover all the data, so here are some screenshots from the mission: Above Lore, Meeting Zorbak, My First Battle. ---------- mssb Here we will meet Zorbak's creation: Zorboz! I recommend this mission when you are at least level 8 with updated equipment and stats. And some screenshots: NASA Jealousy, Zorboz Doesn't Love Me!, Ouch. ----------
