ArchMagus Orodalf -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (6/20/2012 8:56:01)

Fal, I have a question for you while we're on the topic of Hadeni. Do the Nechrons even count as a "race"? They seem to be an arbitrary bunch of Network races raised as Undead; is there any unifying factor that makes them a "race"?

And how long ago was Safiria made into a vampire?

Falerin -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (6/20/2012 9:03:02)

Where the Nechron's are concerned; It is similar to vampirism, which can be passed on to any other creature regardless of origin species. Some forms of undeath are best understood as a contagion that can be passed to others. I.e. the unifying factor is the strain of undeath itself.

ArchMagus Orodalf -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (6/20/2012 9:04:07)

Ah, okay. Cool, thanks. :)

Falerin -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (6/20/2012 9:05:19)

The Nechron form of undeath is particularly insidious given it can even infect Proteus, which are not even an organic species.

ArchMagus Orodalf -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (6/20/2012 9:08:34)

Organometallic, says their description. So they still have organics in there somewhere.

Was the Nechron virus engineered somewhere on Purgos, or did it naturally arise there, and then when The'Galin invaded it was spread to the stars? Or... Yeah, I think this is going too far into their history, but it'd be interesting to know.

Dwelling Dragonlord -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (6/20/2012 9:12:20)

@Falerin: Now we're talking about Safiria, how's Naab doing? Did he give up vampire hospitality after the Shadowmaster was killed?

Falerin -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (6/20/2012 9:12:40)

Madder is the source of the Nechron infection.

ArchMagus Orodalf -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (6/20/2012 9:19:47)

^Er... Dat don't make sense...

quote:

Vogenvuld: On Purgos, the siblings were groomed to one day be rulers of the Nechron Empire. Their natural nechromantic powers led to immediate leadership in the Nechron ranks.

The Nechrons antedated them?

RedEyedDrake -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (6/20/2012 10:37:58)

@Falerin: You know, I still have that question from the shadowslayer topic that got overlooked. What sort of Lorian undead are there, exactly? You know, other then vampires (and the types based on them), skeletons, ghosts and mummies?

Falerin -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (6/20/2012 13:09:50)

Madder is a family name (surname) not a first name. Of course it is also possible that Galanoth jigged where I expected him to jag.

RedEyeDrake: Any undead that exist anywhere probably have a lorian equivalent and then some. Lore has a particularly diverse group of undead.

toi name a very short list (there are MANY MANY more and in every possible elemental configuration. Though darkness and light are certainly the two most common.):
vampires, ghosts, mummies, (Some forms of) Zombies, Lichs, Revenants, Skeletons, wraiths, banshee, ghouls, barghest, Death Knights, Pontianak, Tiyanak, Kuei-jin, Jiang Shi, Wight, Baital, and the generic "Undead" as in "Undead Dragon".

RedEyedDrake -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (6/20/2012 14:03:18)

@Falerin: *tilts glasses on snout and starts taking notes with the pen held in right claw and the scroll held in left claw*

Interesting. Sufficiently Analyzing necromancy just became that much more interesting.

Veral77 -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (10/7/2013 12:42:02)

About Safiria, we saw Constantin and Erimus during their mortal lives, but was Safiria even "turned" or is she a True Ancestor?

Falerin -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (10/7/2013 12:45:26)

The answer to that question is far more than hazy and the only person who can really elucidate it is the staff person Safiria herself. Suffice to say that events shown in Luminovia make clear that Safiria was already a vampiress long before those events.

neo_manni -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (10/8/2013 0:04:29)

Falerin @ does that mean with all of Safira's Lives in AE games makes her as powerful as warlic? or maybe she is able to stand in your true presence (falerin ingame NPC).

Seth Hydra -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (10/8/2013 0:28:30)

@Falerin: We never got to know who was Absolixs Teacher... Will that ever be revealed?

@LordBarrius: What happens to shadows if they are slain? Can they be raised as undead?

Veral77 -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (10/8/2013 15:14:02)

Safiria is a vampire, so she is either undead (if turned) or demigod-level immortal (if a True Ancestor), but Constantin is a werewolf, and while beast blood might give him longevity, he would still age. The Constantin that we see in "modern day" cutscenes looks the same as he does in "flashback" cutscenes. What is his health regimen?

RedEyedDrake -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (10/8/2013 16:11:39)

Demigod level? Where are you getting this from? Also, AQ's werewolves are immortal, just like vampires.

Lord Markov -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (10/8/2013 16:29:25)

Yeah all vampires are undead, regardless of how they were created. If Safiria were a Demigod she would have finished Constantin a long time ago.

Veral77 -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (10/8/2013 17:59:06)

I meant in the sense of being completely unaging, but if she were never mortal, then technically she would not count as "undead" either (Hadeni are necrotic life, rather than undead), as undead need to be mortally alive at one point, whereas werewolves still count among the living. Therefore, by process of elimination, Safiria can only count as immortal (cannot die of age, not cannot be killed). Also, this brings up another question that I believe I asked before in regards to the Hadeni birth and aging process.

lightriftwalker122 -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (10/8/2013 19:38:09)

im still confused on the MS and dhows (erebus) after the flecks war in the epilogue there is a different MS in a different lore talking about revenge on a shade/shadow. i am pretty sure hes talking about dhows is he? who was the ms who was destroyed? MQ stranger?

demon over lord -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (10/8/2013 22:56:15)

I'm confused by the vampire topic. Also I wasn't aware we had Wolfwing name now.

Heroes of the Scape -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (10/9/2013 1:24:12)

@lightriftwalker122: The MS that was destroyed was in the AQ timeline. When Erebus took over he removed all traces of the MS that was there before. Now AQ has no MS remaining. The one who is now seeking revenge is from the DF timeline. Somehow they have a connection that stretches across the timelines though I don't recall if that was ever explained. Anywho, we may yet see another AQ/DF crossover at some point to explain it some more.

RedEyedDrake -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (10/9/2013 2:48:20)

@HotS: Actually, AQ does have a Mysterious Stranger in it (or rather, did have). That would be Erebus himself. You see, when Erebus killed the original AQ!MS from outside this universe's timeline the universe adjusted to that by making it so Erebus was always this timeline's MS.

lightriftwalker122 -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (10/9/2013 15:03:39)

@ HotS thanks for the info . Ah yes his master... seeking revenge i wanna learn more! @ above but we know that he really isnt the MS the one who was destroyed was...

Seth Hydra -> RE: Storyline Questions (Spoiler Alert, obviously) (10/9/2013 15:15:37)

In the necro Pally war, Kaley Obsidia mentioned the Lorian MSs not being involved in the war... so if they knew one of their own was acting on his own accord, wouldnt they try to stop him or atleast try to change his path, or least known he was Erebus..

Also, can anyone answer my question up top of this thread?

Thanks
