Well yes, that’s exactly what Jaania’s ice did. Xan only survived because it had the same healing property as his cursed fire. His fire healed him as it burned him. Had the ice not been equally as healing, Xan would have died not long after he was extinguished. Perhaps the solution to healing Sepulchure is either using Xan’s cursed fire or Jaania’s ice?

Greyor_42 -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/27/2018 16:16:34)

@Shiny_underpants

No, the house item, and the sock found at the Inn are the same sock. Remember, the Inn exists in a dimension where everything has already happened. The sock at the inn is simply the future version of the sock that we currently have as a decoration in our house. Though yes, Cysero has more than one left foot. But only one left sock.

brotherinlaw -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/27/2018 19:14:50)

I have found my people!

So, since I accidentally posted a duplicate thread (thanks to the Archknight who didn't hurt me for it), I'll re-use the theories I got.

Let it be noted, however, that these theories were deliberately crazy, and should not be taken as serious!

quote:

1. Drakath, now a darkness dragon, has been captured by the Rose and is being experimented on. The Rose plans to kill the current Elemental Dragon of Darkness and give the title to Drakath, moving their plans forward by decades by providing them with both an excellent source of magical minions and a research subject on Elemental magic. He will become an invaluable ally in the coming fight once freed, but will immediately stab us in the back when he feels it benefits him (see subject A1: Sepulchure)

And speaking of...
2. The Alteon clan, with a strong affinity for dragons, has a closer affiliation that they realise. Lynaria, Alteon's bride, was actually a light dragon in disguise, who provided a Dragon Amulet to Valen and was bound to him as dragon and Dragonlord. Whether they got-jiggy-whiddit or not, her death was not just that of a loved one to him, but as if he had lost a piece of his soul. That's why being around Gravelyn helps his current condition. It doesn`t just provide him familial love, her presence is literally treating him by feeding him the Dragon magic he lacks while weakening the armor with light. When the Thorn eventually kidnaps Gravelyn to pressure him into cooperation, he will become a Dragonlord once again (though hopefully he will stay a Doomknight), find a new dragon (or fluffy's corpse) and we will fight with him for her return. This will allow him to rebuild the Shadowscythe, lead to a Book 4 with a struggle between the hero, the Shadowscythe, and what's left of the Rose, and return the focal point of Dragonfable to what it's allways been about. A story about dragons.

3. The Gnomish scientists replaced the Elemental Orb of Energy that powered their city with Cysero's left sock, and were about to test it when the Rose attacked. The Rose captured it and are now studying it's magical properties. It will be our job to retrieve it before they either stick it in a nitroglycerin sponge and launch it or do something that makes us find out what happens when you make Cysero...angry *shudder*

Alright, I'll probably show up from time to time with new theories, but that should be enough to get you started. I hope to find out that I'm not the craziest one of the bunch, so don't disappoint!
And as allways,
~BATTLEON!!!

@Dragon_Monster suggested the hero is overprotective to the point he solos Titans.
@Shiny_Underpants said....nevermind. You can repost that if you want to, but as far as I’m concerned that ship should die a painful, lonely death, leaving the world a brighter place.

Finally, @Greyor_42. I think you either posted that to the wrong thread, or replied with no context outside of my own thread.

Greyor_42 -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/27/2018 20:46:15)

@brotherinlaw

No, Shiny_Underpants gave context to it on the last page of this thread:

quote:

Welp, since I kind of killed the other thread, I'll repost my theories here.

Gravelyn is the daughter of Akriloth and Seppy.
That Nifaria illusion was very strong, after all.

Additionally, Cysero has multiple left socks. One is a house item, and there is also a sock in the Inn at the Edge of Time. It's a left sock. Conclusive proof, in my opinion.

Also, I'll repost my and another person's counter to your theory about Drakath:

Counter 1. Drakath was shown to be human again during the Book 1 Epilogue. Which makes sense, since the only reason he was a darkness dragon in the first place was because he used the Ultimate Orb to fuse with Fluffy. Ultimate Orb is no more, thus the fusion was undone. Besides, Fluffy was destroyed as well, so if Drakath was still a darkness dragon, that would mean he was still fused with Fluffy, and thus destroyed along with him.(Note I embellished by explaining how he had become a dragonin teh first place).

Counter 2. Great Dragons are a bloodline. Not just any Darkness Dragon can become a Great Darkness Dragon. Only the son/daughter of the currentGreat Darkness Dragon, born with the same name, can become the Great Darkness Dragon. Drakath is the human son of a human, one King Slugwrath/Drakath(since Drakath was retconned to be his last name), and thus can't be the offspring of the current Great Darkness Dragon.

Shadow X Ascendant -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/27/2018 20:49:32)

The story of Drakath after final 13th epilogue is the main story of aqw - The 13 chaos Lords

brotherinlaw -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/27/2018 21:44:48)

^that would be incorrect. While the chaos connection was hinted at as a reference, what happens to the Drakath of this timeline will be it's own story (and probably chaos free).

Kyros127 -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/27/2018 21:47:12)

@Greyor_42

A slight correction: I think it was mentioned by Ash that while the mantle of Great Elemental Dragon is usually passed from parent to child, if a Great Elemental Dragon happens to die without siring any children then the next most powerful dragon of that particular element becomes the next Great Dragon.

Though we've never been told about the exact details of how this process, I personally like to imagine the process it's similar to the Quickening from the Highlander series or absorbing the soul of a dragon in Skyrim (where the old Great Dragon dies and the energy/power it had leaves it corpse and rushes into and merges with the body of the new Great Dragon).

Shadow X Ascendant -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/27/2018 21:59:13)

Chaos Free? So... Why the chaos eye appeared for him?

Greyor_42 -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/27/2018 22:36:17)

@brotherinlaw

Drakath isn't even in this timeline anymore. That was the whole point of the Chaos Eye coming to thim. He got transported to AQW's universe. So, not only will the next part of Drakath's story be Chaos free in DragonFable, it will also be Drakath free. Since the next part will never happen. In Dragonfable, Drakath's story is over.

brotherinlaw -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/27/2018 23:02:17)

Well, the staff never said as such, but if Drakath isn't going to come back as a Dragon then I'd rather he take his whiny butt elsewhere.

Also, new theory: When we discover the Vartai civilisation, we will find out that their three first-generation Vartai (children of a Dragon and a human/Vartai) Cyrus, Casper, and Sheila are all the children of Cryozen. This would explain why each I'd basically a magical nuke in terms of power.

Flabagast -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/28/2018 8:20:58)

The Wastes, formerly known as the Plains, is an intersection of the eight Elemental Planes that became inhabited by Infernals and Celestials and was what the Exalted Alliance was built upon, with Ehr'Ishin as it's grand capital. The war between the Exalted and the Elements was a geopolitical one; the Avatars did not fancy the idea of sharing their domains with foreign entities.

Bonus theory! Theano has knowledge of the Wastes and was able to take elemental residue from it because he himself is a Celestial; he cannot harm others himself, therefore he uses ancient technology and artificial Disease Elementals to wreck havoc for him. He sought after a large shard of the Ultimate Orb to fuse with his sword becuase Theano knew he would have no other means to fight the Hero himself.

BluuHorseOfficial -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/28/2018 12:32:27)

Okay, well, do you think... Warlic knew of Alex’s burning of Lymcrest at some point earlier when they were kids, due to which he became jealous of him? Seems plausible...

requiem.exe -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/28/2018 16:12:26)

The Archeologist is (like) the Happy Mask Salesman. That's not his real face, not anymore.

rock364 -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/29/2018 3:01:12)

I have recently finished book 1 and 2 and I have to ask, does chaos ever make a reappearance? Is Lynaria Alteon's wife or Sepulchure's?

Chaosweaver Amon -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/29/2018 8:55:04)

@rock364: No, chaos has yet to make a reappearance. The common assumption is that it was just a way to kick Drakath out of the Dragonfable timeline. We also don’t know who Lynaria is; the plot behind her being Sepulchure or Alteon’s wife is exclusively AQW’s for now.

This is pretty much the ideal reaction for a theory like that. Thank you!

@Greyor
Perhaps, although from what Lock and Key have said, I'm inclined to think that there's only one Cysero.
However, there's a better theory, based on what @TheWisestMage posted earlier in this thread, 5ish years ago.
quote:

~original: @TheWisestMage
Cysero's left sock...is actually his right sock in disguise!

I wish to amend this theory to Cysero having two left feet*. It even fits with Cysero's dialogue-- asking where his left sock (singular) is was a trick question!

*edit-- wait, Bluu already said that...

Speaking of hidden gems from this thread...
quote:

~original: @Undersoul
If they put in a conspiracy spouting NPC, he must sell tinfoil helms.

Why doesn't the spoiler Doomknight have a tinfoil helm shop!?

brotherinlaw -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/30/2018 8:17:49)

^Is that an AQ3D reference?

Also, funny little thing happened that fits this thread perfectly. So, I was curious about other people's ideas in Dragonfable, so I went to Archive of Our Own, searched Dragonfable, and SLAMMED that rated G filter (there's a reason I avoid fanfics like the plague....). While browsing the titles, I noticed an interesting theme.

My theory goes like this: Cysero, in his madness, has known about the Reset from day one. As a result, Cysero has played the part common to super-powered immortal tropes; He acts the big brother, watching the world move on it's own but lending a hand when needed.

This is truly terrifying when you think about it. While Cysero acts the goofball, his actions work on an even higher level than Warlic. He might even room with Warlic to observe him as a danger to the world and to help him as a former friend from a past life.

So, how does that make you guys feel? Cysero, the mad weaponsmith, is really Big Brother, our Guardian Angel, and the balancing force of the entire freakin WORLD! Don't believe me? Read his NPC entry in the DF encyclopedia. If he hasn't been Cysero ex machina the entire time, I'll eat his left sock!

Flabagast -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/31/2018 6:51:22)

^ If that is the case, I feel as though Cysero doesn't take his quintessential role toooo seriously. Amidst all of the bizarre, literally game-changing tricks, he still finds time for genuine tomfoolery after all; Hamptons, talking mayonnaise self-portraits, titan-sized garden critters, an orb that is adamant it has Yulgar's beard, among other things.

I'm sure he's well aware of the Reset though, given how much he knows about his other selves. It seems perfectly intuitive to me that Cysero would hide his sock at the Edge of Time itself, given how playing with timelines is kinda his thing.

brotherinlaw -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/31/2018 14:50:24)

^new theory on Cysero's sock (a surprisingly popular topic): the one at the Inn is the Prime sock, the sock which all of the other socks donning Cysero's feet throughout the multitude originate. It is being guarded in the most secure area of existence, the Nexus of Time, by the most stalwart guardians, the hero of almost every dimension, and watched over by Sys-Zero in disguise.

Shiny_Underpants -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/31/2018 15:26:05)

^New Challenges: AoT you offers a reward to whomever can recover the Prime Sock, before it's acquired by any of the villains in any of the universes. In the midst of a series of challenges, you must deal with both dangerous foes, and more dangerous, treachery from your fellow selves...
And the key to winning this challenge is when to strategically betray your allies in 3+ way fights such that you don't die when they invariably switch their attack patterns, and start directing attacks towards you.
Then, the sock is reclaimed by Cysero at the last minute, who reveals that he discarded the first sock after realising it was only good for keeping one foot warm at a time, and gives you the Secondary Sock as a trinket.

I kind of figured that about Cysero anyway (it's been raised in discussion before). However, I was more inclined to think he was less overtly powerful than Warlic, but much better at problem solving. He's an inventor of all sorts of oddities... that type of craft would both require and build knowledge of the quirks of the magical and physical worlds. After all, he states that the weapon shop is basically to fund his projects and experiments.
So with this view, the SMUDD issue was Cysero see very restrictive problem, Cysero solve problem. As to how far ahead he planned it, who can tell? Perhaps it's not a direct plan, but more of a method of working.
It is an annoying tendency of some of the former devs to create stupidly overpowered characters, though, so maybe brotherinlaw's theory is correct.

@brotherinlaw
I haven't played AQ3D since the combat 'overhaul'. I'm not sure which statement you're referring to, but tinfoil helms are in relation to the earlier posts on this thread, Cysero speculation is from DF, and I take full responsibility for NifAkriloth.

In a parallel timeline, Danyel survives his encounter with Roirr: but not as the Soulweaver we know him as. Rather, having absorbed the Mana Core Piece, Roirr is faced by Monty the Pythonweaver.

ManaRoirr: 'This is marvelous! I can see sounds! I can taste colours! I can feel emotions! I--'
Monty: 'Hello! I was looking for directions to the Mana Core Piece. Could you help me? I was told it was here, but I can't seem to see it anywhere.'
Roirr: [thinking]: Who is this cretin?
Roirr 'I am the Mana Core piece now, human.'
Monty: 'Oh. I'm supposed to stop you. Could you just, ah, die? Makes my job a lot easier.'
Roirr: 'I have just become God. Why would you thro--'
Monty: 'Oh, so you're Zeuster.'
Roirr: "What, no--"
Monty: "I'm a big fan! So you made the seas, and the mountains, and the chickencows, big fan of those by the way, but I feel as though they'd be way better with flamethrowers., and I'm impressed that you managed it in seven days, really, it takes me a month just to finish a sentence--"
Roirr: "I already told you, mortal, I didn't make those!"
Monty: 'Not even the curtains?'
Roirr pauses
Roirr: [thinking]: I did make those, actually...
Monty: 'So you aren't God?'
Roirr: [sighing]: 'I'm not... that god.'
Monty: ...
Roirr: ...
Monty: 'Are you the Messiah?'
Roirr: 'I've changed my mind. I don't want eternal life.'

Greyor_42 -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/31/2018 15:37:02)

I still maintain the belief that Cysero has only one left sock, and that the one in our house is the exact same one as the one at the Inn at the Edge of Time. Remember, the Inn exists in a place where all of time has already happened, so the same exact sock can exist in both places at once. After all, I exist both right mow, and in 50 minutes. That doesn't mean there's two of me, there's still only one me, I'm just existing at more than one point in time. Like most things tend to do.

The sock somehow winds up at the Inn after everything happens. And, considering it's Cysero's sock, that makes sense. Of course it would be able to endure everything happening.

Shiny_Underpants -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/31/2018 15:52:56)

^Reminds me a little of Tom's Midnight Garden. It's a very good book, and this is a highlight, so... major spoilers, folks:
spoiler:

"The skates were on, and now Hatty and Tom were ready for the ice; two skaters on one pair of skates, which seemed to Tom both the eeriest and the most natural thing in the world. A new skill and power came into him, as though these skates knew their work better than the skater: he could skate as well as Hatty, because these were her skates…"
~Tom's midnight Garden, Philippa Pierce, 1958
That book is especially good to read while in that restless period between being sick and being well...

I wouldn't be surprised if Cysero wore the same sock on both feet. Actually, if the Prime Sock were resistant to time travel shenanigans, that would make it a sock that couldn't keep more than one foot warm at a time.

Sidenote, I wonder if Cysero would be happy to know we're still debating his sock over ten years after he wrote it.

FriendOfAFriend -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/31/2018 17:18:39)

Cysero's left sock is actually completely, utterly normal. It's why he cares about it so much, it's the only thing in his life that is!

Shadow X Ascendant -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/31/2018 17:47:08)

But The real question is : "Cysero's Left Sock" It looks like a Sock, but it really IS a sock?

BluuHorseOfficial -> RE: Book Three Conspiracy Theories Thread (5/31/2018 23:36:12)

There should be a new thread for Cysero’s left sock.
