*You, Leon, and a Pactogonal Knight are standing in a back room of The Shears.*
Leon: Listen <Character>, you may have seen the tower looming over the horizon. The Rose have been constructing it ever since Alteon sided with them.
Leon: The tower was heavily guarded, but lately I've scouted less and less soldiers, despite it being near completion.
<Character>: What does it do?
Leon: According to these plans I acquired before leaving Swordhaven, atop the Tower lies an Oculus.
Leon: This device is meant to focus a source of magical energy and use it to search out magical creatures and artifacts so they can be captured.
<Character>: Then we must destroy it!
Leon: It may not be that simple, but yes. We must... interrupt the source of the focus, then find a way to disable it.
Leon: The guards that still remain seem preoccupied, so now is our best time to strike.
Knight: Leon, what about Cr..
Leon: I'll deal with that.
Leon: <Character>, just make sure to take out the guards.
<Character>: Got it!
Leon: Then we're ready. Let's go.
*You head through the forest to and up the Oculus Tower, until you find two panicked Rose Soldiers running in the opposite direction.*
Rose Soldier (1): The Oculus, It's overloading!!!
Rose Soldier (2): Run!!!
*The whole tower trembles; the corridor now ends a few steps ahead of you and Leon, turned into an otherworldly blue magical landscape.*
Leon: We must get to the top <Character>! I HAVE TO SAVE HER BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!
<Character>: Her?
Leon: Hurry!
*You keep fighting your way to the top of the tower, now battling Mana Elementals rather than Rose Soldiers; once at the top, you find a hovering woman who too is covered in a blue starry pattern, with gold adornments.*
Leon: CREST!! What have they done to you!
*Crest looks at you and Leon, raises her hand, and speaks.*
ManaCrest: I sense Magic.
Battle! - begins battle with Manacrest and 2 Mana Elemental.
Extreme Battle! - begins battle with Manacrest and 2 Mana Elemental.
Heal - fully replenishes HP, MP, and potions.
Run Away! - returns to The Shears.
*Once defeated, Crest returns to her normal self.*
Crest: I...what....Leon?
Leon: You're safe now Crest.
<Character>: They were using you? Focusing your energy?
Crest: Not anymore, thanks to the two of you.
Leon: She can explain things later, but we need to leave.
Complete Quest
Loot Shop Quest drops for DC - opens Mana Weapons DC shop.
Other information
Completion of this quest will also unlock the Sanctuary's Return story, however, chronologically, it is recommended to complete the quests Oculus Shards through Tournament of Champions Part 2 before continuing with The Shears' story.
