I have a few riddles. I don't know if some of these have already been used or not, but I like them.

1. What has roots as nobody sees, is taller than trees, up it goes, yet never it grows.

spoiler:

A mountain


2. A man is lying dead in a cabin on a mountain, it is snowing outside. The cabin has only one door, it is locked and there is no one else for miles. The man lies next to a pool of water, how did he die?

He stabbed himself with an icicle


3. What do you never eat for breakfast?

spoiler:

Lunch and dinner


4. What runs but never walks, has a mouth but never talks, has a bed but never sleeps?

A river


I have one riddle that is quite famous via a computer game. It has many answers, but the trick was that the asker was hoping for the answer of the person answering; as in, they always answered what they thought she would answer.

What can change the nature of a man?

The "answer"?

It does not think, it does not feel,

Ok you are in a room with two doors one door has a giant dragon that will eat you and the other has a giant magnifing glass that will fry you from the rays of the sun how do you get out (I will post the answer when someone gets it right) congrats to superemo for guessing correctly

@Supremo: I still think mines made more sense. I mean, if you only have two doors, you probably don't have any windows. So why take the chance that it's sunny when you could just eliminate the dragon?

A baby. They start off with crawling with 4 legs, then you cut off his/her's legs and make it learn how to walk on two, then give it a cane to help it at night.

The man looked all throughout the garden and finally settles on one- He picks it and the Wizard says that he chose correctly. How did the man know which rose was the correct one?

He who makes it doesn't want it (doesn't want to use it.)
He who buys it doesn't use it.
He who uses it doesn't know he is using it.

What is it?

A coffin. The maker doesn't want it (doesn't want to die/wants to sell it). The buyer isn't the one using it, buying for someone else (unless you are crazy and buy your own coffin :P). The user is dead.

Classic riddle, but with a twist. May be easy for some.

There are two doors. One door leads to freedom, the other leads to justice (flames). Standing in front one door is a guard who always tells the truth, in front the other is one who always lies. You have no idea which door is which, nor any idea which guard is which. You may ask ONLY ONE question to a SINGLE guard. What do you ask to pick the right door?

"What would the other person tell me if I asked him which door leads to freedom?" (No matter which guard you ask, always choose the door opposite to where he pointed)


The answer to this riddle is a very obvious one. I am easy to know, but some people never think of me. Others still think of me, but only because of the previous statement. What am I?
