A diesel truck is traveling across the country. Fully loaded, it weighs (let's say) 2,000 pounds. As it travels, it reaches a bridge that can only support (again, let's say) 2,010 pounds. Before it crosses the bridge, a ten pound branch falls onto the roof, and stays there for the rest of the trip. The truck makes it across the bridge and to it's destination safely. How does the bridge not collapse? spoiler:
The amount of gasoline burned was enough to lighten the truck enough to keep the bridge from collapsing, even with the branch.
