*You've been frozen in a block of magical ice and placed on the cliff near Oaklore Keep since the events of Book 2; the ice has begun to thaw.*
<Character>: *mmphhtbb?!*
*You appear to be struggling to break free from the ice from within.*
<Character>: *(muffled scream)*
*You finally break free, shattering the magical ice prison.*
<Character>: Finally! I'm free!
*You stand up and look around at your new surroundings.*
<Character>: How long have I been frozen for? Everything looks so... different.
*A dragon appears overhead, with many chains on its body.*
<Character>: A dragon?!
<Character>: Phew! Guess it didn't notice me. I don't know if I'm in any shape for getting tangled up with a dragon right now!
*An arrow pierces the dragon, and it crashes to the ground.*
<Character> (thinking): Whoa! Where did that arrow come from?
<Character> (thinking): ...and who's hunting dragons? I better be careful.
*A group of three uniformed soldiers—two ManaHunters and an Energizer—enter the scene.*
???: We were after a dragon, but it looks like we've got ourselves something better!
???: The ice crystal... it's broken... that means...
*One of the ManaHunters holds a chain and smiles wickedly.*
???: That means we just bagged ourselves the bounty for <Character>!
<Character>: I have no idea who you are, or what bounty is on my head, but I'm not going anywhere in chains.
???: Get her/him!
???: I don't think so!
???: ...Huh?
*Rolith enters the scene and defeats the uniformed soldiers.*
Rolith: Are you alright <Character>? It's me, Rolith!
<Character>: Rolith... Captain Rolith?! My brain still feels frozen...
<Character> (thinking): I hope I still get experience from this!

Rolith: Thanks for the help, <Character>. It's good to see you're still up for a fight after all these years.
<Character>: Years?! How long did that ice take to melt?
Rolith: Warlic started working on you after he finally got himself free. Your dragon helped too! If not for them, that ice might have never thawed out.
Rolith: Remember Warlic? And <Dragon>? A lot has happened while you've been frozen. The Kingdom of Greenguard is a different place now.
Twilly: Magic users and magical creatures are suffering under the rule of The Rose!
<Character>: The Rose? Who are they? What are they doing?
Rolith: There's no time to explain now. Head up the path to Oaklore and talk with Maya when you get inside. She'll answer all of your questions.
Rolith: Twilly and I have a few more... errands to run. Whatever you do, don't mention magic at the gate!
*Rolith and Twilly escape via the shortcut; you head upwards towards Oaklore Keep.*
???: HALT!
*Another ManaHunter stands near Oaklore Keep's gate.*
ManaHunter: Who goes there?
<Character>: I'm uh... just a simple adventurer. Yeah.
ManaHunter: You don't... use magic, do you?
Me? Haha... No, definitely not. No magic here!ManaHunter: Whatever, you're free to pass. It's time for my lunch break, anyway. Doesn't everyone use magic?ManaHunter: Wait a minute... I recognize you! Guards, help! It's <Character>!
Hours later...
*Rolith stands before you in the forest once again.*
Rolith: ...
Rolith: Do you have ANY idea what I had to go through just now to get you out of there alive?!
Rolith: Ugh. I told you not to mention magic. You'll just have to try again once things calm down. Other information

Where could they have gone? I am 'stumped'. This old quest was reimagined with a new title screen, dialogue, and music; more information can be found in the December 27th, 2019 Design Notes.
Long Forgotten Spear reward was added on June 23rd, 2021.
An additional pop-up was added to this quest to prevent players to restart the Twilly cutscene on March 18th, 2022.
'Punt it back...' option now stuns ManaHunter on February 20th, 2023.
Completion of this quest unlocks A Hero is Thawed badge.
