.Shadow// -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/11/2009 19:45:18)

I play all 4 games insanely.
I'm an addict to those games.
It's amazing I ever get time to do art. *Shrugs*

TreadLight -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/11/2009 19:57:45)

Heh, I used to be obsessed with MechQuest. You should have seen me on the official sub-forums for them...

Now I'm in the business with others making our own flash game. :D

Severin -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/12/2009 2:23:22)

I mostly play AQW right now. It is the only game that I enjoy that I really need to work on. DF is probably the one I am best at right now so I usually only play when there is a need for me to get something new, or to play new quests. I think it is a toss-up between AQW and DF for favourite right now. I used to play MQ quite a bit, but have lost interest really fast for some reason...I have never really been into AQ that much, though I do like the fact that their art is steadily improving.

Reni -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/14/2009 9:24:05)

'Tis been over 24 hours so...
What form of art (e.g. music, tags, flash art, hand drawn) do you feel expresses you the best?

DragonYugi -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/14/2009 14:34:17)

Randomness! It makes my imagination go WILD (once the vet had to come to calm it down)...
Music, Tags, flash... EVERYTHING COMBINED (if possible) is BETTER! :)

Chaddledee -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/14/2009 14:55:41)

Hmmmmm. Tough ones. No. Wait. That's quite easy actually! I like dance music, but I can't make it, so I geuss I can't say that. I think 3D art really mirrors the 3D-ness of my life.

Zero Hex -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/14/2009 16:35:08)

Any of it. So long as I can express myself through it. Some might be easier than others, though.

The Virtual Reality -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/14/2009 23:20:57)

I agree with Zero Hex. For me, I'll either bust out my guitar or make some abstract art in Photoshop. Most of the time, I won't even upload my artwork. As for my guitar, depending on my mood I'll grab either my acoustic or electric, generally my acoustic though. Nice, slow, well executed music pieces can be played on it. :)

Leviathor -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/15/2009 2:19:56)

Pencil drawing. Most definitely.

Hurry up with the electronic paper flexible touchscreens already! :p

Severin -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/15/2009 4:14:50)

It is hard to say what form of art expresses me best...I think how I express my feelings in art depends on my mood. What form of art best suits me though, is probably either music or Flash art. Nobody here knows my musical side yet though, so for now, Flash is probably what people know me best by....

Leviathor -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/16/2009 19:13:30)

Hmm, new topic 8D

Why do you think there is such a large discrepancy between the number of Approved Artists and Approved Authors?

The ratio is something like 5.8 to 1. >__>

My theory is that most newcomers are incinerated by Fal's awesome. What are yours?

Grafh -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/16/2009 20:04:32)

I think proper grammar and spelling have something to do with that.

And your art does not effect your ability to become an Approved Artist. If it did, I could cut our numbers to that of the Authors.

Reni -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/16/2009 20:27:16)

I think the main deciding factor is your ability to give CnC and other related stuff.[;)]

FishFrost -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/16/2009 20:42:33)

It appears to me that any art is accepted here. That most likely explains it.

DragonYugi -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/17/2009 2:34:50)

I think Reni and Grafh have a point in there. Spelling, good grammar and impresive CnC is what makes them true Authors. We artists are good in art and CnC tough. (ok there are some users that are both cool artists and impresive authors so...)

Leviathor -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/17/2009 3:01:51)

With the L&L's recent revamp (I can't remember quite when it was), it looks like things have gotten a bit stricter, or at least more formal.

In here, there's virtually no structure to speak of regarding skill, and very little structure regarding anything else.

Whether this discrepancy is in favor of here or there I cannot say. Perhaps more formality produces better writers, but it may also deter those wishing to learn.

Or maybe writing is just a harder/less common hobby.

illusion99 -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/17/2009 3:10:05)

Well may be there are some stories that are better off to read then just looking in pictures like maybe battles at spills a lot of blood? Is this correct?

illusion99 -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/25/2009 23:20:25)

Okay so Its been more than 24 hours.....
How often do you update your gallery?

I probably update too often....

The One To Rule -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/26/2009 0:25:19)

Rarely.

Severin -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/26/2009 1:10:41)

Eh, not as much as I would like to. I wish that I had more time to do the things I enjoy most (art and music), but right now it seems like school is invading most of my time.

Reni -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/26/2009 6:52:06)

I'd say at least once a week, maybe more, but probably not less. :)

lamaman123456789 -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/26/2009 7:32:58)

like twice a week

Viking_Jorun -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/26/2009 11:53:31)

Once every two or three days.

Leviathor -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/26/2009 19:06:29)

It's been a week so far .__.

*shame*

Zodiak 15 -> RE: Black Rose Cafe [Archived] (1/26/2009 22:03:37)
