Level/Quest/Items required: Completion of He's (a) Lyin'

Objective: The birds in Lore are bitter and they're drowning out the songs of Zeuster's supplicants with cries of their own. Zeuster has asked you to silence them by any means necessary.
Objective completed: Appealing to their audience's ego works for Zeuster's supplicants, and now it's worked for you! It seems that full fledged birds are susceptible to flattery, too.

(5) Raven
(4) Soaring Theemis

NPCs
Forest Fury

Dialogue
Valencia: Your chickencow god-friend has sent down another request from the high. He is quite a character, isn't he?
Valencia: It seems his sense of musicality is being offended by the interruptions of anthems sung to praise him by his reverential supplicants.
Valencia: He says that he hates to have their choral efforts ruined, and he is requesting you please deal with the noise...
Valencia: by any means necessary... before he loses his temper and turns them into soup for his attendants.

Raven: *screech* Birdhater! Defiler of fowls! Why are you driving us away from the Mount?
<Character>: The better question is why are you all here and so loud?
Forest Fury: We would never try to time our inter-flock vocalizing to interfere with the regularly-scheduled performances by the Zeuster's Boosters Club
Jungle Fury: Admitting that would be like saying we were trying to drive Zeuster mad with frustration.
Soaring Theemis: We would never intentionally annoy a god who would rather resemble and experiment from a deranged necromancer's shop.
<Character>: *snicker* Ahem. I'm unable to detect sarcasm. Honest. So I will just take your protesting at face value.
<Character>: But the problem remains, you can't go on interrupting the odes sung to glorify Zeuster's goodness, benevolence, power, etc etc etc.
<Character>: He just won't stand for it.
Soaring Theemis: So you're here to take care of the problem?
    <Character>: You got it.
Soaring Theemis: But we don't want to stop and there are whole flocks of us and only one of you.
<Character>: True. It'd take quite a while to silence all of you, but my instructions were to take care of the problem "by any means necessary".
Soaring Theemis: Yeah, good luck with that.
<Character>: Well, you're all birds, yes? Yes. And you all sing, right? Right.
<Character>: And you have a problem with Zeuster's ego and his, er, rejection of his bird-ness, so you object to singing followers inflating that ego more?
    Soaring Theemis: Pretty much, yes.
Forest Fury: Driving him crazy with frustration was just going to be a bonus!
<Character>: Yes... Well. Have you considered starting a choir of your own?
Soaring Theemis: We could start our own choir?
<Character>: Why, that's an excellent idea.
<Character>: I'm sure such musical birds such as you all obviously are would make up a choir to rival- no, to surpass- the fame of Zeuster's songsters.
Soaring Theemis: Of course we would. Pureblooded birds are far better equipped to music than a group of overambitious barnyard mutants.
<Character>: And what better way to put him in his place than by showing him just what he's missing by rejecting his bird ancestry?
Soaring Theemis: Your logic is flawless!
<Character>: Hmm. You'd need time to practice before you start performing, organize appearances, determine your preferred forms of flattery...
<Character>: It'll be hard to concentrate on all that with all those odes and anthems floating down from up on the Mount.
Soaring Theemis: Good point. A proper concert hall has much better acoustics for practicing than these woods.
    <Character>: Oh, definitely.
Forest Fury: Soon Zeuster will be granting us the respect we're due, rejecting his twisted appearance and using our majestic bird-selves as inspiration.
    <Character>: Better than as soup.
    Raven: Wait, what?

    Next Up: It's a Wash
