Karika -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/16/2009 14:58:06)

"Count back from 4 to the 1 approach" could mean the rings should be set at 4, 3, 2, 1.

Dragonnightwolf -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/16/2009 15:10:08)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptanalysis_of_the_Enigma

The above link shows us, Various ways of how the Rotor sequence would work.

So if we're talking four. Then it may mean what Karika just said.

Four rings, or in this case, four rotors.

So if we unscramble possible sequences, we may be able to solve this yet.

Karika -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/16/2009 15:36:22)

@Eldron's post:
Another Enigma cipher, this one's a three-group instead of a four-group.

@Falerin's post:
O Rly, Fal? XD
Likely a geographical location. I don't know where though.

Falerin -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/16/2009 15:46:00)

Romeo und Juliet (II, ii, 1-2 45)

tobi728822 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/16/2009 15:47:30)

The e's part has been solved. It helped find the key, which is CRBUS. and Fal, could said Geographical Location be Italy. Or more Specificly Verona, Italy.

frogboy52295 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/16/2009 15:47:39)

E's one could be trifid.

and Fal's looks like a person maybe the joker?

http://www.enotes.com/romeo-and-juliet-text/act-ii-scene-ii The R&J reference

That figure is the Riddler from the Batman who's real name is "Edward E. Nigma" hence an obvious reference for ya

Krayola -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/16/2009 15:49:42)

Riddler, a.k.a Edward E. Nigma?

Karika -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/16/2009 15:54:39)

Yep, Edward E. Nigma. As in Enigma machine cipher.

Feral Ninja -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/16/2009 15:55:54)

Seenig as they got this from E. Nigma (AKA Batman) I think the solution lies somewhere in the Batmn movie...

Atleast, that's what I think, these riddles Confuzzle me alot.

tobi728822 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/16/2009 15:58:01)

this is harder than i thought

murdering zealot -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/16/2009 15:58:20)

"a rose by any name is still a rose"
how does it apply to the riddle?

Dragonnightwolf -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/16/2009 16:00:40)

simple deduction. A rose by any other name, means that no matter what we call it. It's still the same thing.

Hence edward e nigma and this quote, could be referring to the enigma machine cipher.

[14:51:40] <Juliet> Line 45
[14:51:46] <Burn> What's in a name? That which we call a rose
[14:51:47] <CryptonaughtDragonNightwolf> what the?
[14:51:59] <CryptonaughtDragonNightwolf> there's no juliet listed on our chat box
[14:52:03] <Krayola> Haha line 45 eh?
[14:52:08] <ssj4_Vivi> Random NPCs sometimes offer their help. Don't worry about it.
[14:52:12] <Burn> Its Falerin
[14:52:15] <@Skooby> Yeah
[14:52:16] <@Skooby> that
[14:52:18] <Burn> "What's in a name? That which we call a rose"
[14:52:18] <Krayola> It's fal probly
[14:52:21] <@Skooby> what Vivi said
[14:52:26] <CryptonaughtDragonNightwolf> anything we call a rose would smell as sweet.
[14:52:39] <ssj4_Vivi> Not quite.
[14:52:41] <Burn> The rest of the passage is more useful
[14:52:43] <Burn> What's in a name? That which we call a rose(45)
[14:52:44] <Burn> By any other name would smell as sweet.
[14:52:44] <Burn> So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd,
[14:52:45] <Burn> Retain that dear perfection which he owes
[14:52:45] <Burn> Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name;
[14:52:45] <Burn> And for that name, which is no part of thee,(50)
[14:52:45] <Burn> Take all myself.
[14:52:45] <ssj4_Vivi> "A rose by any other name..."
[14:52:53] <ssj4_Vivi> Not "anything we call a rose"
[14:52:54] <Juliet> What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.
[14:53:17] <CryptonaughtDragonNightwolf> okay so my shakespeare is a little bit off.
[14:53:18] <Burn> Gosh Juliet, not knowing your own lines :p
[14:53:29] <Juliet> of course I only verify thinking.
[14:53:53] <Juliet> And I just came from play Puck in midsummer nights dream
[14:53:57] <CryptonaughtDragonNightwolf> So anything we get, it's still the same name basically. it's the same thing.
[14:54:02] <Juliet> Rehersals are always a bare
[14:54:10] <Juliet> and bear too
[14:54:15] <@Skooby> o.O
[14:54:22] <ssj4_Vivi> 'tis a good thing Dale is not around XD
[14:54:26] <Burn> Bore maybe?
[14:54:26] <Aaron> I'm assuming all these references go back to one quote that has been used "sometimes a cigar is just a cigar"
[14:54:31] <Burn> Yupup
[14:54:36] <Aaron> in otherwords we're overcomplicating something
[14:56:43] <CryptonaughtDragonNightwolf> hmm.
[14:57:12] <CryptonaughtDragonNightwolf> Notice that we're going back towards the classical poet/writer william shakespeare.
[14:57:47] <CryptonaughtDragonNightwolf> we certainly are jumping around the board today. World war two, shakespeare.
