This will serve as the OOC thread for the Sky Arena.

The contestants in this arena are listed below:

To aid in understanding Sky's new layout, have a map.

Okay question, how do we get inside the Arena, it's flying, right?

It used to be that mages floated people up to the outside ring of the arena, so I think that's probably going to be the same.

Awesome! I always loved the whole flying city/ island concept and this just feels cool! Although, I imagine my char will end up almost falling off a few times just because of how careless he is. Lol! If I was using literally anyone else they would think of trying to use the bridges for traps and strategies for ranged attacks and stuff.

Oh, someone said we could collaberate until the end, right? I'd like to try and team Skull Knight with Schizo's char for a few reasons. First off, they're both Fire users who fight with melee and magic instead of using any formal weapons. Also, he's immune to fire magic and Skull Knight has some resistance to it as a fire-based Undead so if they end up fighting it's going to probably take a while and I can see other people easilly getting in the way since fire is, by no means, a subtle element to use. And finally, I think Schizo's char is weak to Darkness and ice magic, if I recall from the bio.... So he's going to need someone to help him against the 2 Darkness mages and the Ice mage.

Besides, I don't even know if his power will work since the sun's blocked off and I'd rather have Skull Knight fight him in the end than anyone else if that's the case.

To clarify - all contestants will be magically transported up to the arena by helpful mages, and will start on one of the eight outermost islands. One contestant to an island.

So is there a complex from where we get teleported up or do we just walk into Bren and are suddenly ported into out arenas?

Is anyone else willing to post first or should I start formulating?

I still have a few hours before I put my post up.


EDIT: TD, I noticed that you haven't described what the islands have on them? Grass? Vegetation? Rocks? Perhaps some streams if that were possible at all?
Or is it just flat barren rocks?

Edit: Ooh, a question about the arena. How large are the largest islands, and how many islands are in the inner rings? Where are the bridges placed? Do they form a web-like structure to the arena when viewed from above?

*rubs hands together excitedly* First time I've been on Sky, this is going to be interesting.

I'll be posting in a few hours, so hopefully we can get the ball rolling soon!

Yall should go and read this tutorial if you're not on IRC yet, a lot of us hang out on #RPBoard, including me on a regular basis. There will need to be a lot of coordination and discussion between me and whoever I engage with, due to the nature of Dianna's powers, and IRC is the easiest way to reach me.

Hm, just a heads up that Dianna will probably react aggressively towards Skull Knight. She has a really huge grudge against Brilhado, and undead probably fall slightly under that due to the connection to Brilhado necromancers. She certainly won't be friendly, at any rate.

I gladly await my chance to bring down the might of the great old ones on your puny little mortal minds! Ia! Ia! *cackles*

Fair enough. Although, Brihado are suppost to be light demons who aren't all necromancers, but alot of them seem to be. Soo... I'd assume it would be somewhere around more disgust than anything else twords him, right? Either way, I look forward to seeing how that battle turns out!

I guess whoever posts first is going to have almost everyone else going after them, right? Although, seeing how we're on different islands, you'd see them coming a mile away as well, so.... Ehh............ I'll think of some introduction.
