*Inspector Doyle and Galanoth are in Dragesvard's Shore; it appears that Galanoth and the Dragonslayers have joined the DragonLords' effort to clean up the Northlands following the aftermath of the closing of the Northlands Rift.*
Inspector Doyle: This is going a lot smoother with your team watching our backs. It's good to work with you again, Speaker.
Galanoth: Mm. Lestrad and Kord were eager to work together on this one, despite everything. We all need simple, hard work right now.
Inspector Doyle: I'll join them soon. For now, here's my copy of the case notes. Did you want to go over them now?
Galanoth: Just give me the run-down. I've gotten a lot of very different, very loud opinions about her. You work with the truth.
*Scene fades to black; scene fades back in as a flashback of Young Vilmor embraces the power of Cryozen while Donovan—Vilmor's friend who became Dragonmaster Frostscythe years later—observes the event as seen from Donovan, all while Doyle and Galanoth are recapping the events of Vilmor Saga from Book 1.*
Inspector Doyle: Vilmor was a child prodigy of Dragonsgrasp. A misfit who would often sneak out on adventures, especially with her close friend Donovan.
Inspector Doyle: Donovan was a half-elf, an abandoned orphan from a time when his heritage was looked down on.
Inspector Doyle: Over a very unfortunate life, he grew obsessed with control.
*The flashback changes to the young Donovan turning away from the young Vilmor.*
Inspector Doyle: Vilmor grew to bond with Cryozen, the Great Dragon of Ice. Donovan failed to develop a bond with any dragon, and left in a fit of rage.
*The flashback changes to Vilmor saying 'You think any jail can hold me if I wish to be free?' from Betrayal to Lestrad, Doyle, and Channiru while the newly hatched Cryozen Jr. can be seen closely with Vilmor.*
Inspector Doyle: Vilmor was hurt and alone, but this drove her to better herself. She was a luminary of our order, a doting caretaker of Cryozen, and a folk hero.
Inspector Doyle: She showed fierce loyalty to the order, but was also independent enough to do things her own way, always making time to help civilian relief.
*The flashback changes to Vilmor's cell in Dragonsgrasp's prison from An Icy Wind.*
Inspector Doyle: Donovan, as we'd later learn, became "Dragonmaster" Frostscythe.
Galanoth: I'm familiar with that freak. Why is so much of this report about him?
Inspector Doyle: I'm getting there. Vilmor was arrested following the reports of her crashing Cryozen through the Guardian Tower of Bask.
*The flashback changes to Vilmor's escape from Dragonsgrasp's prison, signified by two unconscious guards.*
Inspector Doyle: The crash, as well as a reported fight involving Cryozen and a DragonLord, destroyed the town.
Inspector Doyle: Cryozen was missing, presumed fatally wounded.
Inspector Doyle: Vilmor was uncooperative. No survivors witnessed anything that could absolve her. She was left as the sole suspect.
Inspector Doyle: When she broke out, I dispatched <Character> and <Dragon> to track her down and save Cryozen. They helped lead us to the truth.
*The flashback changes to Cryozen, the Great Dragon of Ice, being burned alive by Dragonmaster Frostscythe.*
Inspector Doyle: Frostscythe had baited Vilmor to trap Cryozen...
Inspector Doyle: ... torturing him to break his will and drain his power. He planned to dominate the next Great Ice Dragon hatchling.
Inspector Doyle: Cryozen perished from the torment. A mercenary hired by Frostscythe escaped, but the culprit himself was caught in a cave-in.
*Scene fades to black; scene fades back in as it switches back to Dragesvard's Shore in present day, where Doyle and Galanoth have finished recapping the events of Vilmor Saga and why Vilmor is not working with Dragonsgrasp's DragonLords anymore.*
Galanoth: Yeah, I can see why she's not eager to be a team player anymore. That might be why she's only asking for <Character>.
Galanoth: Are you sure she'll work well with <him/her/them>?
Inspector Doyle: Well... The first time they met, she tied <him/her/them> to a tree. So... Avatars, I hope this time goes better. When is <Character> coming?
*Scene zooms out to show you and your dragon, who is behind Inspector Doyle.*
<Character>: Hello!
*The appearance of you and your dragon scares Inspector Doyle, who screams and falls unconscious; you apologize for your late appearance.*
<Character>: Sorry! I didn't want to interrupt while he was so focused. I'm ready to fly across when you are, Galanoth.
*You smile at Galanoth as the scene fades to black.*

*You are in the Northlands; you fight various monsters until you, your dragon, and Galanoth find a cabin; you hear someone hammering from the cabin inside.*
<Character>: I hear hammering inside. I'll knock.
<Dragon>: She's obviously going to have good treats, be nice so she'll share some with me... | *Hungry, eager grumbling*
Galanoth: I'm not the one she invited, so I'll stay outside. Don't want to cause any nasty surprises.
*Vilmor appears from above, causing you, your dragon, and Galanoth to turn around and face her.*
Vilmor: That won't be necessary.
Vilmor: Excuse the scare. I saw a dragonslayer approaching and got suspicious.
Vilmor: Good to see you again, <Character>.
<Character>: Hello. I got your summons. I don't mean any trouble by bringing Galanoth along, he just has work along the way and wanted to talk to you.
Vilmor: Yes, work.
*Realizing that Galanoth is working with Dragonsgrasp, Vilmor apologizes for her behavior.*
Vilmor: Sorry. Habits. I don't mean any trouble either. I wasn't prepared for the complicated kind of fancy company. Hello, fellow 'Speaker'.
Galanoth: No offense taken. I get it. I think no one gets it like you do, though. I'm interested in your take on this whole mess.
Vilmor: I'm sure. I'd say you have the advantage of not having grown in the Order, but... Well. Come along. We'll talk on the way.
Vilmor: And speaking of company...
Vilmor: Hi there, cutie!
<Dragon>: Hi, strong lady! | *Greeting chirp*
Vilmor: Alright, is everyone ready for a long trip? I've got a tip on some fungus monsters that haven't dried up at all.
Vilmor: They're only getting more aggressive, so I'd like to move out now. No need to go back for supplies, come in and I'll gear you up.
<Character>: Fresh Hollow monsters out in the open?
<Character>: Let's prepare quickly, then. If spores have started spreading anywhere, we need to destroy them soon.
*As you question who is doing the hammering from the cabin, the sound stops.*
<Character>: Just one question. If you're here, who's doing the hammering?
*The young Cryozen appears from the cabin, with a small hammer in tow; you, your dragon, and Galanoth turn around to face him; Cryozen's appearance also inadvertently puts snow on your dragon.*
Cryozen: I will thmite ALL thhhreath to my thnackth! | *Dramatic full-mawed chirping*
*Your dragon emerges from the snow, who angrily glares at Cryozen; scene cuts to black.*
