*Akaz tries to think of another substitute for humans in his recipe.*
Akaz: I... I must do this! I have to prove it to "M"! This—
???: Mew.
Akaz: Huh?
*Akaz turns around to see Verlyrus sitting in his lab.*
Verlyrus: Meow.
Akaz: *Gasp*
Akaz: Cat!?
Verlyrus: Mrrow mjau... miaow.
Akaz: Oh.
Akaz: So you're the cat that Al borrowed.
Akaz: Hello kitty...
Verlyrus: Meow.
Akaz: Uhh.
Akaz: What do ya want?
*Seemingly able to understand him, Akaz has a conversation with Verlyrus.*
Verlyrus: Myaau miau mjau... nya nyau miao meo. Meow nya mjuu purr!
Verlyrus: Miaaa.
Akaz: Bubble?
Verlyrus: Nya.
Akaz: Oh, I see.
Akaz: But... why would I help you?
*Scene zooms in on Verlyrus, who squints his eyes menacingly at Akaz.*

Akaz: I'll help you! Just... don't, please...

Akaz: *Whimpers*

After a while

Akaz: I am pretty sure I don't need to specify what kind of animal, yeah...

*Verlyrus drinks Akaz's potion from a bowl.*

*Akaz watches as Verlyrus laps up the potion.*
Verlyrus: Khe...
*Verlyrus glows orange and begins to grow in size; Akaz observes this happen, first in awe, then in horror; scene returns to the present where Akaz has finished retelling the events.*
Akaz: And there's that.
Everyone: ...
<Character>: He... threatened you?
<Character>: I find that hard to believe.
Bubble: So do I! Verlyrus is a very sweet cat!
Akaz: Sure.
Akaz: Whatever helps you sleep at night...
Trouble: Can you guys please be a little quieter?
Toil: We're trying to figure out the antidote!
<Character>: So, he was trying to... become human...
<Character>: For Bubble.
Bubble: But why?
<Character>: The things you do...
Bubble: Huh?
<Character>: Oh, you'll get it when you're older.
Bubble: <Character>, I'm pretty sure I'm older than you...
Al'nold: Yeah!
*You blink disapprovingly at Bubble and Al'nold's responses.*
<Character>: Anyway, Akaz, do you know where Verlyrus went?
Akaz: No. He trashed the place, then jumped out the ceiling.
*Scene shows the hole from which Verlyrus jumped out of.*
Akaz: I haven't seen him anywhere either. He might be long gone...
<Character>: Hmm.
<Character>: I guess I'll have to go look for him...
<Character>: Sisters, you stay here and—
*With a large crash, you turn around to see Verlyrus has returned to Akaz's lab.*
<Character>: Convenient!
Verlyrus: MHEOW!!!
Verlyrus: NHYA MHIAO MHEOW MHEOW!!!
<Character>: Sisters, what is he saying?!
Bubble: "Where's Bubble?"!
Trouble: We can't let her see him like this!
Al'nold: Kitty, calm down!
Toil: We're almost on the verge of a breakthrough, <Character>! Keep him occupied!!
<Character>: Okay!
<Character>: I'm sorry Verlyrus, but this needs to be done!
Battle! - begins battle with Verlyrus?.
Heal - fully replenishes HP, MP, and potions.
Run Away! - returns to Mogloween Storybook.
*Verlyrus lies down, seemingly defeated.*
Toil: <Character>, catch!
*Toil throws a completed antidote potion to you; you turn around too late, fail to catch it, and it shatters.*
Toil: Are you serious?!
<Character>: I'M SORRY!
<Character>: I don't have a catching animation!
Trouble: Ugh!
Al'nold: He's getting up!
Trouble: We're making more, just keep—
<Character>: I KNOW!
Battle! - begins battle with VERLYRUS?.
Heal - fully replenishes HP, MP, and potions.
Run Away! - returns to Mogloween Storybook.
*Verlyrus lies down defeated once again, and Bubble applies the antidote potion directly this time.*
<Character>: It's working!
Toil: Of course it is!
Verlyrus: Mroooooow...
<Character>: You okay there, little buddy?
Trouble: He's sleeping.
Trouble: Forced mutation took a lot out of him.
Toil: What were you thinking, Akaz?!
Bubble: Didn't you like the idea?
Toil: Hush, Bubble!
Akaz: I just—
Akaz: Listen, it... it ain't easy.
Akaz: It ain't easy, running this enterprise.
Al'nold: Mhm...
Akaz: "M"... he expects a lot out of me. Out of us. To be completely candid, he's not just scary, he's terrifyin'!
Akaz: We have to comply, because our parents left us this family business, and he's the eldest.
Akaz: He knows best.
<Character>: I don't want to get roped into your family drama, but it really seems to me like you have to have a conversation with him.
<Character>: Everything starts with a conversation.
Al'nold: A conversation with "M"?!
Akaz: Nope. Nope. Nope.
Trouble: <Character>'s right.
Bubble: S/he may be young, but s/he's full of wisdom!
*You glance at Bubble disapprovingly again.*

<Character>: Just... try not to work on this particular project anymore.
Akaz: A'ight.
Toil: Keep thinking about other substitutes. This is a really interesting idea.

Trouble: I didn't know you were that proficient with formulas, Akaz.
Trouble: And if you're looking to revolutionize the Apsaydaaun candy industry, we'd be happy to help.
Akaz: Oh. Okay.
Akaz: You aren't as bad as "M"... as Majji made you out to be.
Akaz: Now... I have to fix all the mess I've caused.
Bubble: We'll help you! And <Character> will too!
<Character>: ...
<Character>: You know what?
<Character>: No.
<Character>: I'm taking Verly home and then I'm gonna go trick or treat.
<Character>: Bye.
*You take Verlyrus and leave Akaz's lab.*
Bubble: Did I... say something wrong?
Trouble: Al, your portal closed, didn't it?
Al'nold: Umm, yes.
Trouble: *Sigh*
Toil: Bubble, go after her/him and send her/him home.
*Bubble appears confused by the events that have unfolded.*
Bubble: What did I say?!
*Scene cuts to black.*
