Nose for Trouble


Location: Oaklore Keep (Books 1 and 2) -> Sir Ano -> Quests -> Nose for Trouble -> Quest!
Requirements: Completion of The Hatching / Dragon Hatching
Release Date: August 22nd, 2025

Objective: You've agreed to help Sir Ano as he aspires to become one of the most heroic of the Pactogonal Knights. First stop: tackling rampaging monsters!
Objective completed: If Sir Ano's nose grows any longer, he'll poke the monsters awake before they even see him coming!

Experience rewarded: Scaled
Gold rewarded: Scaled

  • Sir Ano joins you as Guest A.

    *You are in Oaklore Forest; you fight various monsters until you enter a cave; eventually, you and Sir Ano encounter a gargoyle, who is sleeping.*

    Sir Ano: There it is, and it's asleep. Let's go! I've got my warcry all figured out!
    <Character>: Shhh! You don't just charge in screaming— that's how you get killed! Or immortalized and turned into a tired joke.
    Sir Ano: Good point. Then I will practice stealth! Like the ninjas, I will become one with the with the air, with the shadows, with the cave itself—
    <Character>: So long as you don't become one with that pile over there. It smells.
    Sir Ano: ...Eeeew, you're ri-i-ah-AH-CHOO! ...'scuse me.

    *The gargoyle wakes up, glaring at you and Sir Ano.*

    Sir Ano: Whoops.
    <Character>: *groan*

  • Battle! - begins battle with Gargoyle.
  • Heal - fully replenishes HP, MP, and potions.
  • Run Away! - returns to Oaklore Keep (Books 1 and 2).

    *After defeating the gargoyle, Sir Ano comments on his Pactagonal Knight training.*

    Sir Ano: That was exhilirating! Knight training was never like this! I dodged, I weaved, I struck, I—
    <Character>: ...Let me do all the work?

  • Complete Quest

    Other information
  • Completion of this quest unlocked Sir Ano as a guest in Book of Lore.
  • The magical bush acts as an HP/MP healing source during the quest.
  • Pop-up headlines during the quest:

  • Boots are usually made for walkin', not for being discarded before battle.
  • Alas, poor adventurer! He knew not what he faced.

    Objective: You've agreed to help Sir Ano as he aspires to become one of the most heroic of the Pactogonal Knights. First stop: tackling rampaging monsters!
    Objective completed: If Sir Ano's nose grows any longer, he'll poke the monsters awake before they ever see him coming! Head back to the Keep and report your success to Captain Rolith!
