Mogbusters: Where do Xyfrags come from??

Today's Event > Where do Xyfrags Come From? (New Mogbusters quest) OR Travel Map > Travel South > MogBusters! > Visit the Set!

«Scene: Edge of Greenguard Forest»

«You»: Hey! It's the Mogbusters! what are you guys up to?
Jamog: Hello, «You»! We're just getting ready to start Season II of MogBusters.
Jamog: For this episode, we're dipping into our mailbag to find out what myths Lore's heroes want to be busted! Adamog, if you will?
«You»: Well, uh, I'm not sure. Twig was a little traumatized by the last episode...
Twig: Twig's nightmares have gone away!
Jamog: Adamog, would you do the honors and see what the next letter says?

«Adamog comes up with a letter.»

Adamog: This one is from Vivi, Jamog. He wants to know if it's true that several blecchs, smushed together, will unite to form one Xyfrag?
Jamog: Interesting!
«You»: I've heard that one before - but how will you smush them together?
Adamog: Hmm. We could try freezing them together.
Jamog: First, though, we need a bunch of blecchs to experiment on.
«You»: Where are you going to get those?

«Scene zooms in on Jamog, who smiles slowly and creepily. Scene changes to a basement.»

«You»: Aria said there are a bunch of blecchs down here in this creepy old basement. The quicker I find them, the quicker I can get out of here!
• Go!

After getting to the rightmost screen:

«Scene: Back at the stairs of the basement»

«You»: Okay, I rounded up the blecchs. Now what?
Jamog; Ice?
Twig: Did he say-- ICE? *shivers*
«You»: Twig, why are you shivering already?
Twig: Pwacticing!

«Scene: Icy, mountainous area»

«You»: This should be easy. Just grab enough ice to chill out those blecchs, and...
Twig: Oh noes! Monstews!!!!
• Battle with Twig's help!
• Battle by yourself!

Regardless of choice:

2 BATTLES: RA Ice Monsters
Full Heal
1 BATTLE: RA Ice Monster
Full Heal

«Scene: Greenguard Forest, where the Blecchs and some ice cream are tied together on top of ice.»

«You»: How long before you know whether it's working or not?
Adamog: Oh, long enough for this ice cream to finish getting hard, I think!
Twig: Ooh! Ice cweam!

«Twig moves toward the ice.»

«You»: !!! Someone stop him!!

«Scene zooms in Twig tied to a rock, staring hypnotized at the ice.»

Twig: Iiiiiiiiiice cweeeeeaaaaam...

«Scene zooms out and the ice cream is next to Adamog.»

Adamog: Yep! Ice cweam is ready!
Jamog: Let's see if we can say the same thing about the Blecchs!

«Jamog takes scissors and cuts the strings.»

«You»: Twig! Twig! Are you okay?
Twig: Ohhhh... Twig isn't feewing good. Is there ice cweam?
Adamog: Sorry, Twig, we ate it all while we were waiting for you to regain consciousness.
Jamog: And since the freezing failed, we need to find another way to test this myth!
Adamog: How about using incredibly high pressure created by firing them at one another and see if they fuse?
Jamog: I like it! Get out the cannon!
Adamog: It was pulling a little to the left the last time we used it. We should probably fire a few test shots, first.

«Jamog moves and then the cannon comes on-screen.»

Twig: Scawy! Don't want to get in there! Too dark!
Adamog: Listen! Do you hear that?
Twig: ... Hear what?
Adamog: I hear FISH splashing around down there!
Twig: Fish? For sures?

«Twig looks into the cannon and then Adamog shoves him all the way in.»

Jamog: Well, what are you waiting for, «You»??
«You»: Y'know, I feel kind of bad tricking him like this...
Adamog: He's indestructible.
«You»: Oh yeah!
• FIRE!

«The cannon fires and Twig flies through the sky.»

Twig: FISHIIIEEESSS!!!!!!
Adamog: Hey! It's working fine! My mistake. Now to get down to the test.
Adamog: We've set up one blecch out in the distance. We'll need to fire the others at it at high speed to see if the impacts will break down whatever barrier keeps each blecch independent.
Adamog: Line it up in the crosshairs and see what you can do!
• Great!

«The scene shows a screen in which you must click when the crosshairs are lined up with the barrel of Blecch. After doing so, the scene shows four blecchs flying at high speed toward the barrel. Scene: At the barrel»

Twig: Fish?

«Adamog takes the shoe Twig is holding.»

Adamog: If you want the shoe - I mean, fish - you have to help us with another experiment.
Twig: What expewiment?
Adamog: We want you to take this lightning rod and go stand on that hill over there. Okay?
«You»: *groan*

«Scene: The hill under a stormy sky»

Twig: Will this take long? I'm getting more hungwier.
Jamog: Oh, I don't think so, Twig. As a matter of fact, you should be done any second now...

«Lightning strikes the barrel.»

«You»: Yow!!!

«Adamog goes up to poke the barrle.»

Adamog: No Xyfrag...
Jamog: Okay, no luck this time. Let's try one more experiment before we declare this myth - Busted!
«You»: What are you going to use for your last try?
Adamog: Duck tape?
Jamog: Too many feathers. Besides, I think the ducks have all gone south.

«Question marks appear above each head. Then, a lightbulb appears over Jamog's.»

Jamog: I've got it! Gumn!
«You»: Gum?
Jamog: No - gumn! Warlic's Everlasting Gumn!
«You»: How are we going to get Warlic to get us that?

«Scene zooms in on Jamog, who smiles slowly and creepily.»

«You»: *groan*

«Scene: Warlic's Shop»

Warlic: Let me get this straight. You want me to trade this... What did you call it? For a batch of Everlasting Gumn?
«You»: A rare, magnificent reanimated moglin mummy.
Warlic: Riiiight...
???: Mummf!
«You»: All in the name of science!

«Warlic pokes Twig with his staff.»

Warlic: Well, I may be able to do something with it. Does it do anything, besides say "mummf?"
«You»: It can jump!
Warlic: Jump?
???: Ommph?

«Twig jumps.»

Warlic: Hmm. I think I'll pass on the... mummy right now. I'm fresh out of fish. But there IS something you could help me with.
Warlic: Some bookworms are setting up a nest, and I'd really rather they didn't do it so close to Battleon, with all my books here. I could provide a stable sample of gumn if you would relocate them.
«You»: Eviction, you say? I can do eviction!
• Battle with Mummy Twig's help!
• Battle by yourself!

Regardless of choice:

2 BATTLES: Bookworm
Full Heal
2 BATTLES: Bookworm
Full Heal

«Scene: Greenguard Forest»

«You»: Okay, I've got the Everlasting Gumn.
Adamog: Now, all we have to do is spread a little on each blecch, then find a way to bind them together until the gumn has time to set.
«You»: How long do we have to wait this time?
Jamog: A few minutes should do it. We just need to give the gumn time to solidify.
Jamog: Any minute now...

«The pile of blecchs starts to shake.»

«You»: Hey, I think something's happening!
Twig: Uh-ohs!!!

«The pile explodes and a Super Xyfrag with Twig inside results.»

Jamog: Uh-oh! This worked a little better than I anticipated!
Adamog: And it looks really, really mad! Run!
• !!!

«Jamog and Adamog leave.»

Super Xyfrag: Gurruhhhmmbbbuuhhggg...
• Fight!

1 BATTLE: Super Xyfrag
Full Heal

Adamog: Well, I'd have to say that's one myth that's definitely proven!
Jamog: Who would've thought? A bunch of blecchs can combine to make one giant Xyfrag under the right conditions.
Adamog: Thanks for helping with that one, «You»! You, too, Twig!
Twig: Twig get reward? Nice fishies and ice cweam?
Jamog: Well, now that you mention eating...
Adamog: ... We have another letter from our mailbag...
Jamog: ... And we could really use your help with that one, Twig. How'd you like to own your own ice cweam maker.
Xyfrags

Nemesis: Justice goes Blind

Today's Event > Nemesis Set Update! (The Nemesis Set gets a remake and a quest)

A long time ago, there was a great warrior who was so blessed by the Elemental Lords that he was known as the hand of divine justice... the nemesis of all that defied the gods, whether good or evil. So powerful was this "Nemesis" that upon his death his spirit was sealed away in the deepest and darkest recesses of the earth, out of fear that not even death could stop a force of nature, a harbinger of divine vengeance such as this...

Though his spirit was trapped deep below the earth, the seal has grown steadily weaker, and traces of his powerful spiritual essence have begun to leak out into Lore. This has caught the attention of unsuspecting villains, who seek to take advantage of this great power for their own twisted ends... but they know not what they are threatening to let loose upon the world.

For in the vast time that has passed, in the depths of the unknown cavern, the seeds of corruption have begun to take root...

• Continue

«Scene: Outside a cave in Greenguard Forest. Calladus enters.»

The far mountainous edges of Greenguard Forest, several days ago.

Calladus: I don't know what sort of power lies here, but perhaps if I can harness it, I can finally lead an army of dragons to claim Lore as my own!

«Calladus enters the cave. The Scene the fades and changes to Warlic's Shop.»

Warlic: I'm glad you could come on such short notice. We have a serious problem.
«You»: What is it, Warlic?
Warlic: I have detected traces of a very powerful and ancient magic hidden deep underground. The source seems to be coming from the distant edge of Greenguard Forest.
«You»: You can feel the magic from so away?
Warlic: Only faintly, but yes. And if this magic is so powerful that it can be felt from such a distance, then it could be quite dangerous.
Warlic: Worse still, the sensation of its magic has only grown stronger and stronger since I first began to feel it. I feel as though some great forgotten power is awakening...
Warlic: «You», you must help me find this magic. Whatever it is, it is clearly too powerful to be trifled with. And if such power should fall into the wrong hands...

If you are of Evil Alignment:
«You»: And how do you know you can trust me with it, either?
Warlic: I don't intend to. Whatever is stirring beneath our feet threatens all of Lore.
Warlic: I will seal its magic away and force it back into dormancy.
«You»: We'll see about that.
If you are of Good Alignment:
«You»: You can count on me, Warlic!
Warlic: No, I can't. Whatever is stirring beneath our feet threatens all of Lore.
Warlic: Even a hero such as you can't be trusted with such power. Power is the greatest form of corruption there is.
Warlic: I will seal its magic away and force it back into dormancy.
«You»: Hmm... That is probably for the best, then, if it's as menacing as you say it is.

Warlic: I will come with you, to ensure that this power is properly contained.
«You»: Then let's get going!

Choice: How will you quest?
• With Warlic
• Alone

Regardless of choice:

«Scene: Outside of the same cave as above.»

Warlic: The flow of magic appears to be coming from this cavern.
«You»: There are tracks on the ground here, and they look quite new. Someone got here before us.
Warlic: We must hurry, «You». If one of Lore's villains has already stumbled upon this strange magical power source...
«You»: We'd better get inside, then!

12 BATTLES
Full Heal after every 2 battles

Warlic: The magic power is still below... and it is still growing stronger.
«You»: I know... I can feel it weighing down on me...

Warlic: Oh, indeed? Very impressive.
«You»: What a great and fearful power!
«You»: Let's keep going. Whatever is going on down there, we have to stop whoever else is down here from getting to it first!

A large cavernous area with a strange stone slab in the center...

Otherwise:

12 BATTLES

Calladus: Ah, the heroes have arrived. But you're too late!
Warlic: Stop! You have no idea what you're doing!
«You»: If you break that slab...

«Calladus raises his hand and the slab breaks.»

«You»: ... all of Lore could be in danger. *sigh*
Calladus: Of course all of Lore is in danger! I will now use this great power to conquer all of Lore's heroes, obliterate them, and then take over!

«Nemesis erupts from the crack.»

Calladus: What? I thought this slab contained some sort of powerful magic. Who are you? Where is the power I sought?
Nemesis: I was known by many names... but to those who feared and knew me the most, I was merely called "Nemesis."
Warlic: ... Nemesis? The magical warrior blessed by the Elemental Lords to exact divine justice on the forces of evil?
Warlic: But you are just an ancient legend... a few pages in some forgotten text. You were said to never have existed at all.
Nemesis: I was merely sealed away. The forces of evil feared that even death would not be enough to stop me.
Nemesis: But now, the seal has been broken...
Calladus: And you will serve me! I released you from your bonds, and--
Nemesis: -- Serve?! Presumptuous knave, I serve NONE! You, I will DESTROY!

«Nemesis hits Calladus, who falls onto the ground.»

Calladus: Ugh... wh... what... what are you?!
Nemesis: You, follower of evil, have sown chaos among the world of Lore. Your sinful deeds have left scars on your soul, scars which I can see.
Nemesis: And now, you shall be brought to justice. For your misdeeds, there is but one punishment: a swift death.

«Calladus disappears and Nemesis turns around.»

«You»: ... You... you killed him!
Nemesis: His death was just. The gods were displeased with him, and the only fate for such a being is death.

If you are Good Aligned:
«You»: Don't try to justify your actions here. I've stopped villains before without killing them!
Nemesis: Then you are a sorry excuse for a hero.
«You»: If murder is heroic, then I'm proud not to be a hero.
Nemesis: I have heard enough. Though you claim to follow Good, you are clearly Evil to denounce the hand of the gods!
Nemesis: Prepare to join your fellow follower of Evil in death!

If you are Evil Aligned:
«You»: Eh, well...
Nemesis: ... come to mention it, you, too, reek of Evil...
Nemesis: Prepare yourself... for justice from the Elemental Lords!

If you are in Story Mode, the Battle with Nemesis is skipped.

1 BATTLE: Nemesis
Full Heal

You struggle valiantly against the powerful Nemesis, but it is clear you are outmatched. You begin to grow weary, while he never seems to get any weaker at all...

Nemesis: A fair effort. But with the power of the Elemental Lords themselves flowing through my veins, I do not tire.
«You»: *huff* ... *wheeze*
Nemesis: Are you prepared to die?
Warlic: You shall shed no more blood today, Nemesis, least of all that of «You»!
Nemesis: ... you choose to interfere with my mission? Then you, too, are a follower of Evil, magus!
Nemesis: Hmm... no. Though you do bear a stain on your soul, I also see the light of the Lords in you.
Nemesis: Very well, then. If you insist, I will spare this... "«You»".
Nemesis: But there are others. Many others! I feel that Lore's people have been corrupted in my absence. They will all feel the hand of justice!

«Nemesis leaves.»

Warlic: There's something wrong here. Nemesis was never concerned with Good or Evil in the legends of old.
Warlic: It was said he brought justice to those who had earned divine punishment, Good or Evil, and never killed in cold blood. But this is clearly not how he behaved today...
«You»: He wanted to kill me without any real reason at all. There is definitely something wrong, Warlic.
Warlic: He has no doubt gone out to continue his mission. But his mind and mission have been corrupted somehow...
Warlic: I will stay here to examine this place. Maybe I can find a trace of what caused this. Perhaps I can even find a way to seal him away again.
«You»: I wish you luck. I have to follow him. You heard what he said-- There's no telling what he'll do to Lore!
Warlic: That is a good plan. I will endeavor to meet up with you when I have learned something we can use against him.

««You» leave.»

Warlic: Now let's see what this will do...

«The crack seals and the scene fades.»

If you are in Story Mode:
You leave Warlic to examine the area for clues, and go off in pursuit of Nemesis, hoping to prevent any more bloodshed. You exit the cave and fight your way through the forests of Greenguard, before finally catching up with Nemesis at the forest's edge...

«You»: Nemesis!
Nemesis: Do not bother me, «You». Though your mage convinced me to stay your sentence, I assure you that your death at my hands, as with all Evil, is inevitable.
Nemesis: For now, I intend to visit a shrine that I recall deep in the frozen mountains of the north.
Nemesis: It was there that I became the harbinger of divine justice... and it is there that I shall renew my vows!
«You»: You don't even seem to care that you just murdered someone!
Nemesis: Because I don't. He was a villain. Evil exists to corrupt the world, and I exist to bring it to justice.

If you are Evil Aligned:
«You»: Evil is not mere corruption. You speak as a true follower of "Good"... ignorant of reality.
Nemesis: Do not try to claim otherwise. The blood of many monsters stains your spirit red.
«You»: Those who oppose me perish. It is their... how would you put it?... "just reward."
«You»: They claim to serve some higher calling while calling us outcasts and destroying our livelihood.
Nemesis: You waste your time complaining to me. I once foolishly believed that good and evil were equal in sin.
Nemesis: But that was before I came to the realization that the forces of evil are always more corrupt.
«You»: More ignorance, spoken out of misunderstanding and delusion.
«You»: I've seen those who serve Good wield their worthless sense of morality to exact unjust ends. It's all a matter of perspective-- and yours is clearly clouded.
«You»: Or else you might soon become just another one of them. Petty failures, all...

If you are Good Aligned:
«You»: What justice is served by killing in cold blood?
Nemesis: You are hardly one to talk. The blood of many monsters stains your spirit red.
«You»: But when I fight monsters, it is for a just cause. I do it to defend my home from those who would destroy it. Can you claim the same?
Nemesis: Perhaps at one time, when I believed that good and evil were equal in sin.
Nemesis: But that was before I came to the realization that the forces of evil are always more corrupt.
«You»: By whose standard?
Nemesis: ... What nonsense do you speak?
«You»: That which is considered "good" by some can still be "evil" to others, Nemesis.
«You»: I've seen Good used blindly to exact unjust ends, too. It's a matter of perspective. And your perspective is clearly clouded.

Nemesis: ... Why am I even listening to you? Your words are meaningless, lies spoken only in a vain attempt to save yourself from my future wrath.
«You»: No, Nemesis, you're wrong! They are spoken to prevent more death!
Nemesis: I will tolerate your delays no longer. I make for the mountain shrine. In the meantime, my loyal spirit guardian will take care of you.

If you are in Story Mode:
You commence an intense battle with Nemesis's Spirit Guardian. The spirit shows no signs of fear or wear, however, and you begin to worry that you might not be able to overcome it. Eventually, however, the spirit seems to admit defeat and flees after its master.

Otherwise:
1 BATTLE: Nemesis Guardian
Full Heal

If you are in Story Mode:

«You»: Whew, that was quite the fight.
«You»: Let's see... Nemesis didn't really specify WHERE in the mountains he intended to go. But maybe if I follow his little spirit friend, I'll find him.
«You»: Get ready to face TRUE justice, Nemesis!

You find yourself battling a large number of ice monsters, as well as the elements themselves, as you ascend into the icy mountains of the north. Following the spirit animal turns out to be a boon, as it leads you straight to the shrine, where Nemesis is waiting...

«You»: I have found you, Nemesis. Here, in this icy shrine, I will end this before you kill anyone else!
Nemesis: I think not, «You». I AM the power and judgment of the Elemental Lords. I far surpass your capabilities.
«You»: Your time imprisoned has corrupted you, Nemesis. Powerful or not, I must set things right!
Warlic: (off-screen) «You»!

«Warlic appears.»

«You»: Warlic! I don't know how you found me, but you're just in time. I hope you have some good news.
Warlic: I managed to find some ancient texts that referred to this shrine as the origin of Nemesis's power. So it would seem natural that he would come here first to awaken his full power.
Nemesis: You will not stay my hand this time, mage! I am resolved!
Warlic: Of course you are. I also managed to study the runes carved into the tablet he was trapped within.
Warlic: I believe I now have a spell that can bind his powers somewhat, making it easier for you to defeat him.
Nemesis: Cowardice! You would resort to magickal trickery, rather than facing me at my full skill and power?!

If you are in story mode:
Even with Warlic's spell, your battle with Nemesis is long and challenging. The clash of weapon against weapon and armor rings through the chamber. Eventually, you land enough blows to bring Nemesis low, and you are victorious!
Otherwise:

Earn Lvl 120 and Lvl 135 Sets (Challenge Battle)
• Fight Unaided

Earn Lvl 90 and Lvl 105 Sets
• Cast Spell

Depending on choice, you will face a differently-leveled Nemesis.

1 BATTLE: Nemesis
Full Heal

Nemesis: I... I... am... beaten.
«You»: It turns out that it is I who brought the justice of the Elemental Lords today, Nemesis.
Nemesis: Indeed... and in defeat, the haze that clouded my mind has cleared. I... was mistaken in thinking that I was serving justice.
Nemesis: Good or evil, true justice treats both sides of the coin equally. The times have changed... and so have I. Perhaps it is time for another to inherit my role.
Nemesis: «You»! YOU are hereby charged with my duty! Be the hand of divine justice and bring the wrath of the Elemental Lords to bear!
Nemesis: If you accept this task, I shall grant you my powers.
«You»: I accept.
Nemesis: Then... I can finally embrace death...

«Nemesis leaves, transparent.»

Warlic: What will you do now, «You»? You have been granted great power.

If you are Evil Aligned:
«You»: I told you that you would not withhold this great power from me, Warlic.
Warlic: Yes... and I fear that, though you have aided Lore in the past, perhaps Nemesis chose poorly in the end...

If you are Good Aligned:
«You»: Carry on his legacy, the way he would have wanted it.
Warlic: I do not think Lore could ask for a better keeper of justice than you.

Depending on which version of Nemesis you fought, you will open one of the shops below if you are not in Story Mode. If you are in Story Mode, the shops are skipped.
Nemesis IV

Shop Weapons:
• Vigilante's Verdict
• Scourge's Conviction

And so, Nemesis was defeated and passed his duties to you.

Use your new powers wisely, lest you meet the same fate as your predecessor...

• I'm approximately done. A few things need addressing:

1. I don't know what happens if you fail the INT Check. I've done the 12 Battles 4 times now, and I haven't failed... Even on my 0 INT char.
2. The quest is bugged; I fought Nemesis without Warlic's spell and reached the Level 120/135 shop, so I don't know the names for some of the 90/105 items.
3. I don't know the exact Alignment numbers required to trigger X or Y dialogue in the quest.

Got it. Thanks. ~Scakk

if you fail the roll, then you can defy it. if you can't, then you use warlic's spell to resist it.

@ArchMagus If you fail the INT Stat Roll. You get this:

Strength Check
Lacking the arcane strength, do you at least have the physical strength to soldier on despite this palpable weight?
Difficulty: 61
Stat Used: Strength

The Wizard Games!

Today's Event > Wizard Games OR Travel Map > Wizard Games (Currently BUGGED and unavailable via the Travel Map)

Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the event of the century! This is your host, Aye'kent Spelle. It's a spectacular day outside Castle Greyfemur, and the games are about to begin! Let's take a peek!

«Scene: Castle Greyfemur. The Scene pans through the contestants, right to left.»

Jackel Sano: Welcome to the Wizard Games! I'll be refereeing today's matches... when I'm not competing, that is. We've drawn competitors from all over the world, so I expect some great matches!
Jackel Sano: We... also have healers standing by, but hopefully their services won't be necessary.
Jackel Sano: As befits the WIZARD Games, we've had Kalanyr construct a special ward that reduces the damage of non-magic weapons, so make sure you're appropriately equipped!
Jackel Sano: We have a special guest, too! Mentana is an enchantress formerly of King Alteon's court, and she's offered to make a copy of her staff for anyone who can beat her!
Jackel Sano: Would you like to compete in the Games, or go one-on-one with her?
• Wizard Games
Jackel Sano: Our first contestant made her name in the failed assault on the Vampragons' Lair, and now she deals with the PTSD by fighting here!
Jackel Sano: You all know the rules. Remember, no spells below the Muladhara chakra. I want a good clean fight. Let's go!
• Fight!

1 BATTLE: Amani
Full Heal

Jackel Sano: Our next competitor is the Mercurial Mauler, the Clubbing Changeling - GNUVAIN!

1 BATTLE: Gnuvain

Jackel Sano: Our next competitor comes from the Bun-Bits Warrens' school of wizardry, and he's here to prove size doesn't matter!
• Fight!

1 BATTLE: Harey Potter
Full Heal

Jackel Sano: Congratulations, you've made it through round one! Care for a breather, or should we get on with it?
• Break (Shop)
• Continue

Jackel Sano: Your first march in round 2 is missing his eyes, but he sees more than the rest of us put together. He knows your next move before you do. Sage Uldor!
• Fight!

1 BATTLE: Uldor
Full Heal

Jackel Sano: Our next competitor might not have the reflexes he used to, but he's taught the best and he's forgotten more than you'll ever know about magic. It's Xarymandias!
• Fight!

1 BATTLE: Xarymandias
Full Heal

Jackel Sano: And that's the end of round two. Should we take a break, or continue?
• Break (Shop)

I noticed that on the Wizard Games this year, They allowed guests, but I think there is a penalty of guests and pets dealing only 20% damage of usual.

Missing Miss Fixit!

Today's Event > Missing Miss Fixit! (New quest)

«Scene: Interior of the Guardian Tower»

«You»: Morning, Nimrod! Nice day, huh? Thought I'd come by and check out the Guardian shop and see if there was anything new.
Nimrod: «You»! Nothing new at the moment, but it's always fun to check out stuff, eh?
«You»: Thanks, Nimrod! I'll just-- hey! What's that?
Nimrod: What's what?
«You»: All that crashing and clanging overhead!
Nimrod: Oh, that's just the Knights of Order. There were some unused storerooms in the tower, so they're putting in a workshop.
Nimrod: The remodeling should be done soon... I hope. It's hard to work with all this racket!

«Scene shakes.»

Nimrod: Uh oh.
«You»: Uh oh what?
Nimrod: Sounds like one of the chipmunks got out again.
«You»: So how much harm can one little chipmunk do?
Nimrod: Oh, these aren't just any chipmunks. These are the chipmunks that run on the wheels that turn the gears that keep the Knights' inventions going.
Nimrod: They're AXIOMATIC chipmunks. And they can cause all sorts of...

«Radagast enters.»

Radagast: Oh, hey! What are you two doing standing around here? Nothing to see around here, just your--
Radagast: ... just your typical... magical...
Radagast: -- magical... doom. Help!
Nimrod: Doom? Yeah, right. One of the chipmunks get loose again?
Radagast: No! It's worse!
«You»: Worse than a loose chipmunk? Okay, I'm pretty scared now. Yep, shaking in my boots. Where's my blankie?
Radagast: «You», I'M being serious here! Think about that for a moment!
Nimrod and «You»: (simultaneously) ..................
Nimrod: Sweet Lorithia! We're DOOMED!
Nimrod: It's getting closer...
«You»: Okay, so tell us how we're going to die.
Radagast: We just unleashed the world's first... and probably last... Super-Powered Energo-Magic Platopulse! That's EMP for short.
«You»: A platypus? You guys are afraid of a platypus?
Nimrod: What's a platypus?
«You»: It's this goofy little half-duck, half-beaver thing. They're kind of cute, actually. They lay eggs and defend themselves with a poisonous bony spike on their back feet, and--

«Nimrod points off-screen»

Nimrod: -- and is that it, coming our way?

«Radagast shifts as the Platopulse enters.»

Radagast: !!!!!

«The Platopulse turns around. Radagast runs out of the Tower. Then, the Platopulse emits an energo-magic pulse.»

Nimrod: «You», will you please get this thing out of my Tower?
• Fight!

1 BATTLE: Platopulse
Full Heal

«Scene: Outside, in Battleon, where the Platopulse runs off behind a bush.»

«You»: What in Lorithia's name WAS that thing??
Radagast: Well, it was supposed to be funny. I mean come on, it's a platypus! They're already funny... looking. But it wasn't supposed to be like this! I never thought we'd have to fight it!
«You»: And when did thinking become your strong suit?
Radagast: I want a hero! I want my mommy! I want my hero's mommy! ... Hey, you're a hero! Can your mommy get us out of this?
«You»: Radagast, get a grip! Start from the beginning!
Radagast: Well it all started when Aelthai got called out of town on an assignment.
Radagast: There was some problem with a sentient castle out in Deren, so she gave us a to-do list, packed a bag, and took off.
«You»: *groan* I think I saw this in a Dipsey cartoon once. So you guys decided to play with powers you couldn't control in order to weasel out of doing your chores and unleashed a monster, didn't you!?!
Radagast: There weren't any weasels. That would be a totally different problem! It was a platopulse. And not just any platopulse--
«You»: I know. It was a--
Radagast and «You»: (simultaneously) Super-Powered Energo-Magic Platopulse!
Radagast: You finally understand the EMP! And the pulse knocks out every other power source in its range:
Radagast: -- energy power, magic power, even muscle power. Projectiles can get knocked right out of the sky if they get hit by a pulse.
«You»: And you guys needed one, because...
Radagast: Because he was there? And because I thought it would be fun to use his pulse to de-goose some old discs?
«You»: Well, that makes as much sense as anything else, I guess. We can worry about the geese later, though.
«You»: Okay, explain one more thing to me. I saw the energy pulse thing when it slapped its tail down. But where's the magic part come in?
Radagast: Oh, that. It's got a self-perpetuating, endlessly increasing feedback loop.
«You»: In Lorian, please?
Radagast: Every time it slaps its tail down, it makes itself stronger. And every time it gets stronger, its range gets wider and its pulse gets more powerful.
Radagast: If we don't catch it soon, it will get so powerful that nothing will be able to stop it! Not even Aelthai! (Gulp!) Maybe not even Kalanyr!
«You»: Look, in the forest--!

«An energo-magic pulse fells a tree in Greenguard.»

«You»: Ah, speaking of Aelthai, any ideas on how to get hold of her?

«Scene: Deren, where Aelthai waves, standing on a castle.»

Aelthai: I think I've just about got it, Hector! Pass me that new sillycon chip and one of those chipmunks, will you?

«Hector enters the screen. Scene then zooms in on Aelthai.»

Aelthai: Thanks, Hector! Now, I put this guy here, then put this little guy on this wheel here, give this lever a twist, then reprogram the arfsnarkle, and...

«An energo-magic pulse erupts in the background. Aelthai lowers her hand.»

Aelthai: What was that?
Hector: I don't know, but it made my fur stand all up.
Aelthai: That felt almost like an energo-magic pulse. But there's no WAY it could be that. Besides, if anything like that was going on, Kalanyr would get in touch with me immediately.
Aelthai: And he hasn't, so obviously nothing's happened. *whistles* Hey, Hector, would you pass me that glue schtick?

«Scene: Guardian Tower, where Zephyros, Nimrod, «You», Radagast, and Beleqwaya are gathered.»

Radagast: I tried to get old of Aelthai, but the EMP knocked out my communications. It's HER pet project, she'd know how to trap it!
«You»: How about Kalanyr?
Radagast: *shudders* I... was kind of hoping we wouldn't have to tell him until after we'd fixed it.
Zephyros: You mean YOU wouldn't have to tell him. The only reason I didn't when your message reached me is because I was out of popcorn.
Zephyros: I'm going to need a BIG tub of it, a comfy chair, and a few free hours to watch this reaming. But hey, I'm a nice guy... I'll leave you the buttery stuff.
Radagast's Knife?: *snickers*
Radagast: ... Quiet, you. Zeph, this is repayment for that time with the stuff in those ruins, isn't it.
Zephyros: Oh, this is only the beginning, my friend. Only the beginning.
Nimrod: So... how do we catch this imp? The stories I've heard aren't very clear on that.
«You»: It's an E-M-P, not an I-M-P, Nimrod. I don't think there HAVE been any stories about it, until now... Don't mind him, guys. He's still a little spell-shocked.

«Another energo-magic pulse erupts.»

Nimrod: *uuuuhhhhhggg*
«You»: Okay, I might have an idea. We know the platopulse is in the forest, right? And how hard can he be to track.
«You»: I'll go see if I can find him, while you guys ask Kalanyr about how to get Aelthai back here, pronto, okay?

«Falerin, Kalanyr, and Warlic appear.»

Falerin: Actually, I thought you'd never ask. You act as if you think I have all day for you to make requests for aid; as if you were somehow of great importance to me.
Falerin: I am not at your beck and call you know. I am a busy busy busy being.
«You»: Falerin...
Falerin: Yes?
«You»: Rambling...
Falerin: Ah... right. Once Kalanyr gets in touch with Aelthai, she can be back quite quickly--
Falerin: -- as long as there is no platopulse here at the exact time she is while she's altering her nexus of co-location, of course... That could get messy.
«You»: Altering her nexus of... you mean teleporting?
Falerin: That implies transit...
«You»: Right, but let's pretend for a moment I am actually as unaware as I appear.
Falerin: ........
«You»: Simple terms...
Falerin: ... Teleporting. *sigh*
«You»: Sure thing. Thanks for your aid, Loremaster. Feel free to run along now...
Falerin: *muttering* Somehow my relationship with «You» has changed in subtle ways I am not sure I like...

«Falerin disappears.»

Radagast: Were you just waiting for us to ask for help, too?
Kalanyr: No, actually. I was waiting for a confession, so I would know which one of you will be spending some quality time with Sarah's new litter.
Warlic: I was in the middle of casting a tri-planetary alignment conjuration, when all of a sudden -- PULSE -- and the whole thing fell apart. And I nearly lost all my hair, to boot.
Radagast: ULP!
Kalanyr: Did I hear correctly that you're going to catch this little monster and hold it until Aelthai gets back?
«You»: That's the best plan we have so far.
Radagast: It's the ONLY plan we have so far.
Warlic: I may have something that can help you. Remember the Magic Gumn I was working on?
«You»: Remember it? I think I still have some stuck on one of my old boots.
Warlic: Right. You do want my help, don't you?
«You»: Yes, sorry. Of course I remember the Magic Gumn! It's awesome stuff! Incomparable!
Warlic: That's better! I've made an experimental suit out of it, which may help trap the pulse attacks of the EMP. It's... really sticky.
Warlic: You can borrow it if you like. It may even interrupt the feedback loop, so the EMP stops gaining strength.
«You»: As long as the Gumn Suit looks cool, I suppose...
Warlic: ................ It IS made of Gumn.
• Get the Platopulse! (Loads the Gumn Suit)

Radagast: Aw c'mon! It's not so bad! Could be worse. Could be ME in the Gumn Suit!
«You»: *grumble*
Radagast: We have to stay on our toes. The woodland creatures won't understand why we're invading their territory.

Aelthai: It's not going to keep them out of trouble - but at least they're not in it any worse! I see you've already taken care of the big problem... now to get this little guy back where he belongs...
Aelthai: Aria, did you bring those plato-pellets like I asked you to?
Aria: Yep-- Here you go!
Aelthai: Here, little EMP! Say ahhh...

«Aelthai feeds the pellets to the EMP.»

«You»: It looks like his power's gone! What on Lore was in those pellets?
Aelthai: Static guard!
«You»: I wish I'd known about them an hour ago!

«You»: Aelthai! Going off to work on another project so soon? I'd think you'd want to stick close for a little while.
Aelthai: Actually, this whole incident convinced me to work on a project of my own that I've been putting off for a long time.
«You»: What's that?
Aelthai: I'm going to open my own Fixit Shop! That way, I can keep my things out of... certain peoples' hands, and make it easier for folks to find me, too.
Aelthai: And even if I'm not there, people can stop by and catch up on my latest fixes!
«You»: Wow! That's great! Is Radagast helping you move your stuff over to your new place?
Aelthai: Oh, he's doing a little more than that, aren't you, Radagast? As a consequence for letting the EMP escape, nearly destroying Lore and not getting those discs de-goosed--
Aelthai: -- RADAGAST is going to build my new shop for me, brick, by brick, by brick, by brick. Isn't that right, RADAGAST?
Radagast: *groan* Of course, Aelthai. Anythign you say! *grumble*

«Aelthai leaves.»

Radagast: What was that? It sounded almost like something went wrong with the Cage's balance equations. No one would mess with those surely...
Radagast: Hello? Aelthai?? *gulp*
Radagast: Help?

«A small pulse wracks the cage and Radagast.»

Radagast: Urk...
Radagast: Heh.

«Radagast leaves.»

Radagast: (off-screen) urk...

Moral Side Effects: April Fool's Quest 2011

In an area of the Northlands known as Fallowfjord...

*Something blows up and creates a big impression on the snow*

???: .....What....did....you.... just do?!?

*Scene: Inside a dungeon, with <You>, Khold, Radagast, and Loco wearing normal clothing*

Khold: It-- it WORKED!
Radagast: Amazing! I never thought we'd be able to do it!
Loco: "...do it"?! You two... two... CLOWNS... have no idea whatsoever what you've done!
Khold: Sure we do. We summoned you again, but this time we did it in a way that brought you onto our plane WITHOUT your crazy-god powers!!
Radagast: Yeah! We're awesome! Now everyone in Battleon will THANK us for finally ridding them of all of your hijinks!
Loco: No, you dunderheads. That's NOT what you did. You summoned me as a MORTAL. I no longer possess the powers of a god.
Khold: Right! We did that!
Loco: But you don't understand what that MEANS. The powers that made me the trickster god still exist! They're OUT THERE-- and without ME to corral them!
Loco: Wow, this is great. You may have just caused MORE trouble than I could have caused on my own . Bravo, kids.
Radagast: Say what??
Khold: What?
Loco: The powers are pure RANDOMNESS, a close cousin of CHAOS.
Loco: Without an organized MIND to keep them at bay, they will simply fly across all of Lore until they find something they fancy. Usually something shiny.
Loco: With no single thought pattern to control them, the Powers will run amok on your world until there is NOTHING left of it to PLAY with… and then they will leave in search of more.
Radagast: …………
Radagast: So we sort of made a mistake?
Loco: Oh, yes. No “sort of” about it. If I still HAD MY POWERS I’d be absolutely delighted with your work.
Radagast: … Oh boy…

*Scene: On the snow, with the Randomness Powers escaping through the hole*

Khold: So, uh… Rad… know anyone who might be able to help get all those Powers back?

*Scene: Battleon, with Robina, Galanoth, Aquella, Warlic, and Safiria- also with their reverse-gender counterparts.*

Safiria: I would not have believed it unless I saw it with my own eyes…

*Artix enters the scene.*

Artix: ….. Wow!
Artix: How could this have happened? Warlic??
Warlic: … Don’t look at me. I had nothing to do with this one.
Xitra: I told you guys… We should have just stayed hidden and never revealed outselves to our counterparts.

*<You> enter the scene.*

<You> Awww… No. I didn’t believe it. But you ARE back! Does this mean Loco is—
Aquellon: No, no it doesn’t. We never left.
Warlicia: I studied what happened for a while afterward, and came to the conclusion that Loco did indeed transform all of you into switched-gender versions of yourselves—
Warlicia: --but that when the change was reversed, what happened instead was that the new personalities—US—were so strong that it forced the creation of two entire new individuals.
<You>: So why did you all decide to reveal yourselves now?
Galana: Well, <You>, because it’s April Fool’s Day again, and we heard through the grapevine that Loco would be back!
<You> Back?! Ugh… Why couldn’t he just give us a year off?
Warlic: Loco, by this very nature, will not pass up an opportunity to cause chaos on a grand scale.
Galanoth: Hey, uh, Galana—Why don’t you take off your helmet? You must be burning up in there.
Galana: I’ll take mine off when you take yours off.
<You>: Still… We kind of defeated Loco last time. It doesn’t make sense that he’d just come back.
Artix: Nothing about Loco makes sense, friend.

*Radagast enters the scene.*

Radagast: *ahem* I couldn’t help but hear all of you talking about LOCO…
<You>: Rad… Yes we were. I’m wondering about why he’d be back so soon. We sent him packing the past two years in a row!
Radagast: Well, it would HAVE to be this time of year… it’s when his prison comes closest, metaphysically and magically speaking, to Lore. Something about this him being sealed this him being sealed this time of year. I don’t know.
Radagast: We—er, Khold had me help with some research ‘cause he kind of had an idea that we should SUMMON him again.
<You> and Khold: WHAT?!

*Khold enters.*

Radagast: Oh yeah, I mean Khold and I had an idea to summon Loco again but—
<You>: I can’t believe you’d--
Radagast: --BUT we had a plan! And it was a good one! Kind of. We researched for a whole year just how we could summon him again but separate him from his Powers!
Khold: And it worked! Too well. So really, we’re geniuses.
<You>: You’re rationalizing. I’m very, very afraid. What does “too well” mean?
Radagast: Loco is back, yes…
Khold: He has been separated from his Powers, yes…
Radagast: …but his Powers each have a mind of their own and they’re on the LOOSE on Lore!
Radagast: Without Loco’s mind to hold those Powers at bay, they’re just going to do whatever they want!
<You>: Wait—So Loco is powerless? He’s actually… MORTAL?
Khold: Ohhhh yeah. I saw him get a papercut on his lip while trying to eat some fist and chips out of a newspaper wrapping. There were tears when the vinegar hit it. It was great.
<You>: We could actually defeat Loco once and for all! As in: NO MORE LOCO, EVER!
Warlic: No—We must not. I am familiar with the sort of Powers that Loco embodies. …Embodied.
Warlic: The Powers are eternal and unchangeable. They cannot be destroyed by force or by magic. They’re similar to mana itself.
Warlic: They can move through time and space and change things as they go, but they exist forever.
Warlicia: You’re right, Man-Me. We’ve got our work cut out for us. Somehow, those Powers need to find their way BACK INTO LOCO.
<You>: So… we can’t just finish off Loco?
Artix: No, <You>, we cannot bury the god of craziness. In fact, it sounds like we have to save him to save ourselves.
<You>: I absolutely HATE it when I have to be part of that particular plot.
Radagast: Sorry, pal. This is just one of those days.

*Robin Cap enters.*

Robin Cap: I was wondering where everyone was!
Robin Cap: Monsters are converging on Battleon from Greenguard!
<You>: What KIND of monsters?
Robin Cap: … ALL of them, I think.
<You>: Sounds like some of Loco’s Powers have been mucking about. Anyone up for a little WAR?
Warlic: I don’t think that’s a good idea. We wouldn’t get anywhere fighting a bunch of random monsters.
Robin Cap: Says YOU. All I see are wave after wave of gold! And levels!
Warlic: We can’t afford to get bogged down in this fight—we need to track down the Powers and get them back… home… before today’s magical alignment ends.
<You>: You don’t want me to have ANY fun, do you?
Warlic: Well… we WILL have to get through this “army” to find the Powers…
<You> What do we do once we get through them?
Warlic and Warlicia: I know how we can CONTAIN the Powers if we find them—
Warlic: Sorry, you can go.
Warlicia: Thank you. As we were saying, we can contain them long enough to transport them back to Loco’s body, but actually finding the Powers were they’re hiding takes a sixth sense I don’t have.
Warlicia: Only someone who communes with dark forces can track them down…
Safiria: ….. Why is everyone looking at ME? Alright, I DO commune with dark forces, but I am not going to on some quest to track down those Powers! It does not befit a queen!
<You>: That’s okay, because I know where we can find someone like you who ISN’T a queen!
<You>: I need a couple of you to go with me to Darkovia. The rest should stay here to keep that random monster army at bay! Let’s go!

ILLOGICAL ARMY!

Monsters from every corner of Lore have gathered together to form an army whose composition makes no sense whatsoever! Everywhere this army plunders seems to lose a little bit of sanity once it passes by and we can only assume this has something to do with Loco’s powers running wild over the *** but assuming isn’t going to help this army! We need to cut through it and find the source!

Clicking on each NPC will let them join you as a guest. (NPC) has joined you!

*Scene: Darkovia Forest with <You>, Robin Cap, Radagast and Aquellon.*

Robin Cap: I’m 93 percent sure that Sapphyro took up residence in an abandoned town near here…

*Sapphyro enters.*

Sapphyro: Close enough, ranger. I’ve been keeping tabs on the current situation concerning Loco’s Powers. I’m not sure I want to HELP the man who brought me into this world without my permission.
<You>: You wouldn’t exist at all if it wasn’t for him. Who knows what great things you might see or do because you were brought into this world! And anyway—It’s not really ABOUT helping Loco.
<You> If we don’t get those Powers back where they belong, they’ll just tear the world down with anarchy!
Aquellon : All you need to do is lead us to where the Powers are. We’ll do the rest, with a little help from Warlic and Warlicia. They conjured us 5 confinement gems to use on them.
Sapphyro I do suppose that if I can eliminate some potential competition that I should take the chance. So be it. I am already sensing the nearest of the Powers. Follow me!

*Forest Scene. You may fight alongside Sapphyro, Radagast, Aquellon, Robin Cap, or by yourself. (NPC) will now battle by your side! *

Warlicia: <You!> Do you have the Powers contained within the gems for us?
<You>: Yes indeed! Here they are!

*You hand four containment gems to Warlic.*

Warlic: Is that all?
<You> Those are all we found, yes…
Sapphyro: Oh, of course… There it is. The fifth power. It’s a bit of a walk to the east, and it’s been on the move constantly, so it’s been hard to get a fix on.
<You>: Moving so fast it’s hard for you to get a lock on it? How? Is it flying?
Sapphyro: Possibly. I’m not sure how we can catch up to it.
Warlic: Perhaps I can help you head it off at the pass.
Robin Cap: Perhaps WE can.
Warlic: Right. Let’s.

*Warlic teleports all into a green, grassy field.*

Warlic: Your Power should be here in 3… 2… 1…

*A massive vehicle rushes past.*

<You>: That’s a TRAIN!!!
Radagast: It WAS a train. Now it’s a—LOCOmotive!
Warlic:: This one must be Might.
<You>: How are we going to stop that thing?
Radagast: I have an idea… but since Khold’s not here, I guess I’LL have to be the bait! I’ll lead the LOCOmotive straight to you!
<You>: Are you sure? If you don’t make it out alive, then we won’t have anyone to make fun of!
Radagast: I—am very sure. That thing won’t even touch me!

Save Radagast from the LOCOmotive!

*You are given directions on how to play and an option to change the quality, or quit.*

After winning the mini-game…

Radagast: Okay *huff huff* I made it *gasp* and it’s right *puff* behind me!
<You> Why are you hiding behind everyone, Rad?
You are given an option to choose your guest, as above.

BATTLE LOCOmotive
Full Heal
You have contained the Power of Omniscience!

Warlic: Containment gem, if you please?

*You hand the last Containment gem to Warlic*.

<You>: So now... We have the Powers. But we need Loco!
<You>: ........
<You>: Radagast?
Radagast: Yeeeeeeees?
Radagast: WHERE is Loco?
Radagast: Well, if you recall, once he lost his Powers he became mortal. Soooo... Khold and I just couldn't resist...

*Scene: <You>, Radagast and Warlic visit Loco, locked in a cell inside the dungeon*

Loco: This is ridiculous! I can't believe you'd make me spend all day locked up in here when I'm perfectly HARMLESS!!
<You>: Sorry about that. ...I think. Anyway, we happen to have caught ALL of your runaway Powers. We need you to take them back.
Loco: What if I don't WANT them back??
<You>: Warlic, how long will those containment gems hold the Powers in?
Warlic: Not much longer. But just long enough for me to transport them to the Ethereal Realm, where the containment MIGHT function for eternity. It will at least hold them for several thousand years.
<You>: Hmm... SO, Loco, do you think you can hold out for several thousand years? Oh wait-- you're MORTAL now. So no, you can't.
Loco: ...........
Loco: What makes you think I'll just leave you all alone once I get my Powers back?
<You>: April Fool's Day is over! The alignment should be ending soon. Just enough time to send you HOME.
Loco: How... convenient. Grrr. Okay, give me my Powers, then.
Warlic: Releasing containment now. Loco, you'll want to take a big breath to inhale them... This is going to hurt you a lot more than it's going to hurt us.
Loco: Inh-- Wha??
Warlic: It is either THAT, or injection with a very long needle. Okay, here they come!

*After a flash of light, Loco is back to his former self.*

<You>: Welcome back! You look just like your old self!
Loco: I FEEL like it, too! Consider yourselves lucky that I can't stick around a while longer!
<You>: Buh-bye.

*Loco disappears.*

Warlic: Radagast?
Radagast: Hm?
Warlic: Might I suggest that next time you summon the trickster god in mortal form, you refine your summoning so that his Powers are left behind in his plane of existence?
Radagast: It's a process of trial and error, you know...
Warlic: More trial and less error next time, eh?

Those should be level 85 and 105 respectively (both in-game and in the encyclopedia)

Does it show 85 and 105 in the quest itfself. If not we will continue to show what is in game until it is changed to be the 85/105 respectively. ~Scakk

Bizarre Fleck II: Mostly Harmful Special Preview

Today's Event > Bizarre Flecks Saga > 7. Bizarre Flecks Saga 2 Preview 2 OR Travel Map > Bizarre Flecks > Find out! > 7. Bizarre Flecks Saga 2 Preview 2

Falerin was killed by Seth Cay Dhows - a name that, like much of Dhows's actions, has been a lie. All that is known for sure is that he is a shadowy figure with unknown motives, and that his past apparently involved taking the place of a being who was known to our Lore as the Mysterious Stranger, and altering his position as he saw fit. Somehow Dhows appears to have replaced him completely throughout the timeline of our Lore's history without actually damaging that timeline. Falerin has now returned to the world of the living... but in fragments. The fragment in control of his body has been nursed on the poison that Dhows has spewed... And the others? Well, things are going to get very interesting...

«Scene: Outer Space»

In the depths of the Nothingness... Something is Stirring...

???: whaaaaaat doooooooo youuuuuuuuuuuuu waaaaaant oooooooof meeeeeeeeeee shaaaaaaaaaaadow
Dhows: Oh, it is not what I want of you that brings me here... but the pieces are almost in place for what it is you want of me...
???: whaaat cooould I pooossibly waaannnt of youuu whooo awaaakeeens meee aaand distuuuurbs myy reeest...
Dhows: You can never fully rest, though... you dream, do you not?
???: I dreeam... I dream such hoorrible dreams.
Dhows: And you have been forgotten, lost, while Lore moves on you are not even the shadow of a memory.
???: They would not...
Dhows: Forgotten... no, worse... IGNORED... Your work, and life, are meaningless...
???: Meaningless?
Dhows: The very fabric of your being has been unraveled by changing time. Uncreation would be kinder, for at least in that there is forgetfulness...
???: You lie!
Dhows: Must I draw you of all people a map? Even named as you are? So be it! I can prove otherwise... do you wish to see? I warn you, it will be most unpleasant.
???: Show me...

«The scene spirals backward and changes to Darkovia.»

Cartwright: There can be no doubt that I am detecting a growing level of uncreation energy. Something is going on.
«You»: Uncreation energy? But from what?
Cartwright: That, I do not know. It is outside of phase with our present timeline. The future possibly... or the past.
Cartwright: Something that is messing around with time.
Ryuusei: It is my experience that all such effects are... ill-advised.
Eldron: Generally speaking, I would concur. Chronomancy was banned on Caelestia for a long time for much that reason.
Cartwright: Certain Network agents proposed that uncreation could be achieved via temporal manipulation, given that it is a temporal effect.
Cartwright: But it was an experiment I never allowed during my tenure. As zealous as I may have been, I was no fool. Messing with time can affect countless things one does not anticipate.
Cartwright: Oddly enough, however, this effect seems stable. As if...
Ryuusei: As if done by someone who already exists outside of time.
Eldron: If that's the case they are losing their isolation... and that could have untoward effects...
Cenara: More untoward than these strange elemental creatures running around everywhere?
Cartwright: Potentially MUCH more untoward, young lady.

«Scene: Back in outer space»

Dhows: I am saying that it was you, yes. I am saying that is how I find you now. The first creature I saw was, but could not handle the, Truth...

«Scene: Back in Darkovia»

Diviara: Do it.
Cartwright: Very well.

«Scene: Xitra Regeirk's Lore, where Minister Bree'Ha stands, gazing at the last Bizarre Fleck. Dhows enters the scene, and then it fades. New Scene: Mount Thrall»

Cartwright: I do not think I will be allowing that; the Lord I serve has ordered this world spared.
Cartwright: Even had he not, uncreation is one thing, but complete elemental annihilation is quite another. Reality itself would begin to unravel.

«Scene fades.»

This Spring...
The Race Is On
The Flecks Return

«You»: I can certainly agree with that. What is it you're planning, Dhows?
Dhows: Why, I have been planning a bit of everything... The fight against the unfortunate Loremaster's pets is what led you here, after all.
«You»: Where is the uncreation energy coming from?
Dhows: Soon it won't matter...
Dhows: Soon I will collapse the boundaries of the elements and recreate this world after my own image.
Cartwright: I do not think I will be allowing that; the Lord I serve has ordered this world spared.
Cartwright: Even had he not, uncreation is one thing, but complete elemental annihilation is quite another. Reality itself would begin to unravel.

«Scene: Aria's Pet Shop»

Fal: Call me Fal.

«Scene: A house.»

???: And so the Dashing and Debonair James Frond, a master of disguise, saves the forest once again with the help of Miss Cashnichol and Agent Emen...

*BANG

???: ... Hey... Who's in my room...

An Epic Multistaged War Running for Two Weeks with Lasting Consequences

*The scene transforms from Outer Space to Darkovia*

Somewhere between Darkovia and Battleon- Our own Lore

Ardendor: They appear to be stabilized, but they still need to be tested and…
Dhows: Yes, yes. I understand the importance of your study.
Dhows: But the window is small…
Dhows: I do not wish to interrupt you, pupil, but it iis necessary that the flecks be obtained quickly.
Ardendor: For what?
Dhows: I wish to reassemble myself, and hopefully in doing so learn how we might reassemble you “correctly” and also to restore another to aid us.
Ardendor: Dude… why do I need those other pieces? I feel awesome already… and who needs another person to cramp our style?
Dhows: I do, you insufferable idiot!
Ardendor: Uh…

The Depths of Limbo / The Void

*Scene shifts back to Outer Space.*

Dhows: Your directions are near complete. I can see you grow more apprehensive already… but there is a bit more…
???: What more…
Dhows: The final proof… of your being forgotten.
???: What proof…
Dhows: Ryuusei Cartwright has returned. Not once, mind you, but twice over!
???: Cartwright’s analogs are not my concern…
Dhows: Oh, but one of the two is your original… there can be no doubt whatsoever… You took your enemies here to prevent such a thing, didn’t you…
???: …yes …
Dhows: I thought so…
???: His escaping death does not explain…
Dhows: You also anticipated them coming to get you… or your body at least. They did nothing of the sort. INSTEAD the Lorians work WITH both Cartwrights.
Dhows: They save his progeny… even the Caelestians answer to his beck and call…
???: Show me…

*The scene morphs back to Darkovia.*

Dhows: It is necessary that we remove our limits, without your other fragments disrupting the process…
Ardendor: Whatever… just let me secure my roaming experiments, and…
Dhows: Never mind that… you stupid egret… I begin to regret saving you…
Ardendor: Whoa… how quickly the story changes.
Dhows: Falerin, I am sorry I yelled. My dear pupil, I realize the importance and value of the work, but we have no time…
Ardendor: But… they might run rampant…
Dhows: True… and that will slow down those who would impede us.
Ardendor: They could be pretty disruptive… buddy and that might draw us unwanted attention.
Dhows: But you said that you wished not to test them, did you not? Think of it as the ultimate experiment into their stability.
Dhows: The Lorians will have to go to war to clean up the mess and you and I are free to do our other work unimpeded…
Ardendor: Ahahahahah… I like it…
Dhows: Now are you ready to transport us?
Ardendor: Allons-y!

*Scene shifts back to Outer Space.*

Dhows: So you see… the very man you were lost to eliminate, they accept with open arms as an ally… while you remain lost…
Dhows: Maxwell, my friend… There can be no other conclusion…
Atlas Maxwell: What do you offer?
Dhows: Return and… vengeance… truth… and lies…
Atlast Maxwell: I accept.
Dhows: I thought you might…

Meanwhile, in some other version of Lore

*Scene changes to an alternate Battleon*

Minister Bree’ha: This world is another loss… their energy here seems to be based around joy and light. That is quite the opposite of our desire… we must try again. G’hup, stream me…
(on Radio) G’hup : Affirmative, Minister… Right away.

*Minister Bree’ha disappears.*

<You>: It’s bad enough that I’m getting nightmares, I just wish it wasn’t the same one every night…
<You>: And Dhows… why does it always have to be HIM? Though I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that last stunt with the clock is giving me nightmares… but why now?
<You>: And why do I keep dreaming about him taunting us with a NEW clock?
Eldron: Because he is.
*Eldron moves in the scene.*
Eldron If you look up in the sky, you’ll see another clock.
<You: … I really don’t want to, Eldron. If I don’t look, maybe it will go away.
Eldron: While that may work with some other things, this is not one of them. I presume you’ve been having the same dreams I have been hearing all about.
<You>: Yeah. Dhows. “Scramble and scratch all you like, as the headless chickens you truly are… there is nothing you can do… my plans cannot be stopped.”
Eldron: Unfortunately I bear bad news. His clock is counting down once again… and new monsters are stirring.
Eldron: They are re-elementized versions of Lore’s native monsters, and I sense Caelestian magic about their transformation.
Eldron: For this to happen now cannot be coincidence, and can mean only one thing: one of the splinters of Falerin’s consciousness has been subverted.
<You>: That is… very bad news.
Eldron: I suppose there ARE ways in which it could get worse, but--
<You>: --don’t. Just… stop right there. Whenever someone around here says “it could be worse,” IT GETS WORSE.
Cartwright: Astute.

*Cartwright enters.*

Cartwright: Astute, but too late. It’s worse.
Cartwright: There is uncreation energy gathering all around, and it is not my doing or any design of my Lord The`Galin. I, too, distrust coincidence.
<You>: …Is that clock still there?
Eldron: Yes.
<You>: Still counting down?
Cartwright: Yes.
<You>: Are those fires of attacking monsters on the horizon?
Cartwright and Eldron: Yes.
<You>: … Then I guess we have some work to do.

WAR!

Mostly Harmful

Bizarre reversed-element creatures are running rampant throughout the continent... and according to Eldron, they're Falerin's handiwork! Well... part of him, anyway. And now Ryuusei Cartwright is suddenly detecting strange amounts of uncreation energy again... and Dhows is taunting Lore with a new countdown. What's his game this time?

• To Battle!
• Back to Town

There is a glowing, ominous timer counting down to 12:00 AM, April 19 2011, Tuesday.

To Battle!

Who will you go into battle with?
• Cenara
• Eldron
• Artix
• By yourself

Regardless of choice,

BATTLE 2 MONSTERS
Optional Full Heal
BATTLE 2 MONSTERS

After the 71% was reached, it was adjusted back to 41% and unlocked a new mid war cut scene.

*You can skip the cutscene at any time.*

Somewhere in the Deep Void...

*Scene: Outer Space.*

Atlas Maxwell: How is it you are able to find me? ...To communicate with me at all?
Dhows: I have known you longer than you have known yourself, Atlas Maxwell.
Atlas Maxwell: Meaningless drivel. Answer me...
Dhows: Tweet tweet tweet...
Atlas Maxwell: ...I can leave... still...
Dhows: When I arrived on your Lore from the realm of my origin--
Atlas Maxwell: --Birth.
Dhows: Origin. I was not "born," at least not by normal definitions of the term.
Atlas Maxwell: Whatever.
Dhows: When I arrived at this place I arrived outside of time and space. I entered Lore first not as it is, not as it was, not as it will be, but something beyond all of these.
Atlas Maxwell: And?
Dhows: I entered and I gravitated naturally toward power and strength.
Atlas Maxwell: Power and strength?
Dhows: Lore's powers had made several attempts to imbue aspects of themselves, both higher and lower, into the world. The prime orbs were one such attempt.
Dhows: Another was the Avatars. Both had flaws, but both were used by all of Lore's powers, even the Johnny-Come-Latelies. Though not all employed Annunaki for the purpose.
Atlas Maxwell: The Avatars...
Dhows: The Avatars, of course, are avatars. You of all people realize the truth of that.
Dhows: They are but one set, but those annunaki were sort of primal aspects of creation. Lore is elemental at its core, but other forces antedate the elements.
Dhows: The annunaki took the names of those other things, even while they too needed to progress toward the elementalization.

*Diviara, Cartwright, Ryuusei, Eldron, Cenara, Amilara, Gaiden and Twilly stand in Darkovia Forest.*

Cartwright: There can be no doubt that I am detecting a growing level of uncreation energy. Something is going on.
«You»: Uncreation energy? But from what?
Cartwright: That, I do not know. It is outside of phase with our present timeline. The future possibly... or the past. Something is messing around with time.

Cenara: More untoward than these strange elemental creatures running arround everywhere?
Cartwright: Potentially MUCH more untoward, young lady.
Amilara: Then it needs to be stopped. These creatures are already effecting large portions of Lore.
Amilara: Cagliari reports that the undead village in Greenguard is already under siege, and Brontus and Culak's relatives in Augerthorne report similiar problems.
Gaiden Cartwright: Can we even be sure the two things are related?
«You»: Of course they are. I never trust coincidence.
«You»: Cartwright, can you find out where the uncreation is coming from and why? You're the expert. In the meantime...
Twilly: Uh ohs...
«You»: What is it, Twilly?
Diviara: We appear to have incoming company... More of those odd elemental creatures.
«You»: *Sigh* Like I was saying... In the meantime, I guess we battle on!

• Fight!

EDIT: Now have second cutscene and third war scroll (It seems no one got scroll number two... oops. Staff help, please?)

First Mostly Harmful mid-war cutscene. Unlocked at 71%, meter was reset to 41%.

Somewhere in the Deep Void...

Diviara, Cartwright, Ryuusei, Eldron, Cenara, Amilara, Gaiden and Twilly stand in Darkovia Forest.

[*]Fight!

War Scroll

Some unexpected help has revealed that the uncreation energy is emanating from Mount Thrall, so the race is on! Unfortunately Falerin's strange reversed-element creatures have stirred up the local fauna along your route. WHAT is going on up there, and what does this fragment of Falerin have to do with it?

Cutscene

Somewhere in the Void...

Atlas Maxwell: You certainly are pouring out your heart and taking a long time to tell me... nothing at all. You're babbling.
Dhows: A song bird will sing its song, even when none are around to hear... Hoping that a mate might wander close enough to hear the call and enter the nest.
Dhows: Besides, you still are less corporeal than we would like...
Atlas Maxwell: Riiiiiight... so... you were saying?
Dhows: The first being that I encountered in this world was not the being whose countenance I now adopt. I found him later in seeking one closer to my understanding.
Atlas Maxwell: ...Meaning? What are you saying?
Dhows: The first being I encountered tried to merge with me. It was Annunaki, and not just any Annunaki, either.
Dhows: The first being I encounted was one of the Avatar.
Dhows: But to merge with me proved... problematic to say the least. I tried to communicate and it had already been driven a bit mad. It would have been in any timeline, really.
Dhows: In that time the Annunaki had a tendency to "number" things according to the Greek alphabet. It is why they called the manifestations of The`Galin Omega.
Dhows: Which is an interesting tangent in itself. The`Galin cast Cartwright off. I am sure you gathered that.
Dhows: But it seems it was just a ploy as, upon his return, Cartwright remains as Omega. It can be assumed safely, I think, that the entire scene was an act, a manipulation.
Dhows: Where was I...
Dhows: Oh yes... The Annunaki formed some very interesting legends around me and my "race." Not that I am certain that there have ever been others... only a multiplicity of me.
Dhows: They said of my "race" that it antedated creation, which is true enough. The called the many me "Alpha" because I was supposed to be the first of the fallen universe.
Dhows: Which is, likewise, true enough; I do come from a universe which preceded this one...
Dhows: And I too was given a single Greek letter. I am sure you know it well, Atlas Maxwell. They called me Epsilon.
Atlas Maxwell: Wait... Epsilon? THE Epsilon, the subject of Cartwright's N.O.V.A. program?! But... that's not possible!
Dhows: The Network of Vesperian Agents, or N.O.V.A., as you call them, is just a small piece of The`Galin's larger network, Atlas Maxwell, my dear emu.
Dhows: And since your departure, other arms of the Network have plagued the Lorian sector entirely... The Autarchs have arisen.
Dhows: The Vesperians knew of me, created projects around me... planned to use me to their ends, even. Yet, in the end, it was they who were used, and they never truly understood me.
Dhows: How could they hope to understand what does not even fully understand itself?
Dhows: They created paradigms around me, but the future that they foresaw has ended, just as your own timeline was ended by the entry into the past and alteration there.
Atlas Maxwell: You lie! You can't be the Epsilon! Epsilon was the man-made god!
Dhows: Lie? LIE?! You foolish gosling! I never lie. Lies are an ineffective use of resources, when the masses so readily deceive themselves with their "truths."
Atlas Maxwell: No... you can't be...
Dhows: Oh, can't I? You seem quite sure. Many ARE man-made Atlas Maxwell... even most.
Dhows: "Man" is also a term subject to interpretation and reinvention... just as I have been reinvented many, many times.
Atlas Maxwell: ...What are you saying...
Dhows: If you would stop your bird-brained twittering, you would know already, My would, universe, multiverse... suffered a great cataclysm, My creation was an after-effect of that calamity.
Dhows: I was never "born," Atlas Maxwell, except in the sense of being born in blood and fire.
Dhows: I was created by the apocalypse. So you see, I was indeed made by the hand of man.
Dhows: Particularly disturbed agents of the Network, of course, twisted the story even further... as I intended.
Dhows: Now... where were we before you rudely squawked you objections? Ah yes...
Dhows: Eventually they turned, and we began killing off the other "Alpha"... which is to say, I was reabsorbing my pieces that were done with their job.
Dhows: Those Annunaki were really quite insane, especially the first.
Dhows: I just... finished the process off, rather strongly in that one. He tried to mimic me in all things, and even became convinced that it too was split, and tried to mimic my reassembly.
Dhows: I think you know the one... it presently manifests in a form that even dresses as I currently do... more or less... black robes.
Atlas Maxwell: You are saying that...
Dhows: I am saying that it was you, yes. I am saying that is how I find you now. The first creature I saw was, but could not handle the, Truth...

In Darkovia Forest, you are meeting with Diviara, Cartwright, Ryuusei, Eldron, Cenara, Twilly, Amilara, and Gaiden.

Cartwright: No, it's not from here. There are strong traces here, but... it's somewhere else. It feels to be coming from many directions at once...
Ryuusei: Where is it most concentrated? That could give a hint.
Cartwright: I don't know... it is too diffuse. And while I studies Lorian cartography as a general, I am not certain that...
«You»: There has to be some way to find out! Uncreation energy is not laughing matter!
Cartwright: Well there is one way, I guess... since a Chosen asks... but I am not sure I dare...
Diviara: Do it.
Cartwright: Very well.

Cartwright transforms into Omega

Omega: My Lord, a favor is asked of us. A Chosen here asks where we might seek the source of this energy of Your uncreation.
The'Galin: Ryuusei, my son... your apprehension is not merited. Several of our chosen ones gather. I grant you this boon of knowledge.

Cartwright transforms back into himself

«You»: Was that... the Devourer?!
Diviara: It was... and had Cartwright not asked, I was about to. This is uncreation energy, after all.
Ryuusei: So... where do we go?
Cartwright: We go to Mount Thrall.
[*]Fight!

• Launch Special Mission!
Mostly Harmful: Special Mission

Falerin was killed by Seth Cay Dhows. He has returned to the world of the living... but in fragments. The fragment in control of his body has been nursed on the poison that Dhows has spewed... And the others? The other fragments have been scattered throughout the realms in which Falerin has been active. Falerin has been able to reassemble some of his fragments on his own, but with Dhows's continuing manipulations something must be done to restore Falerin fully, before Dhows can use the situation to his further advantage...

• Continue

«Scene: Falerin's Bier. Scene then zooms in on Ardendor's head. The eyes open.»

Ardendor: Oh... what's this then?
Ardendor: Hmm...
Ardendor: Hmmm... but what am I... hmmm...

«Scene zooms out, Ardendor gets up with a lit staff. He then teleports away. When only sparks remain, a fragment of Falerin on the right remains, speaking.»

Falerin: Halt playback...
Falerin: I keep coming back to this event... what am I missing? Abode, halt playback.
Abode: You are being metaphorical, yes? I assume you mean other than pieces of yourself...
Falerin: Dude?! Of course I am being metaphorical... Golly gee Case...
Abode: I am not that analog, Fal. You know that...
Falerin: Analog... Hmm. If I do not get myself together, I might fragment into analogs... That MIGHT be what he wants...
Falerin: He is a false analog... so perhaps he wants to make one of me too...
Abode: He does seem to want to make things in his own image. They would not be false analogs though, just fragmented pieces of yourself.
Abode: Artificially created, perhaps, but you yourself have done that with magic before... as have others. They are no less real...
Falerin: Well, right... but artificial or natural, it would be an analog under his influence. That cannot be tolerated. I need to figure out a way to remove the problem.
Falerin: Nor can we tolerate his incursions into your workings.
Abode: Perhaps play both sides against the "middle"? With Dhows as the unfortunate middle?
Falerin: You mean grant access to Donovan and his camp too...
Abode: Why not? He is no fonder of Dhows than Cenara. Their war is not our war, whatever the cause. You granted access to Cenara as a favor; why not extend that to him?
Abode: More activity in the Hall will cast greater light on his involvement... Light drives out shadow...
Falerin: Yes, but shadows also depend on light, and Dhows has been known to manipulate light very well indeed. Donovan is also very... misguided in the pursuit of his goals. Still...
Falerin: ... The more open the Hall is to others, the harder it becomes for Dhows to hide within.
Falerin: I think you have it right. Open access to the facility makes it much harder for him, at least, so long as we stay away from his own memories.
Falerin: Eventually, we will need access to those memories as well, once I figure out how to exclude him. In the meantime, though...
Falerin: In the meantime, I need someone to counter his whispering in my ears. I cannot do this alone... Fortunately, I think I know just the individual to smack some sense into me...

«Scene fades as the ghostly Falerin moves upward. Scene: Isle d'Oriens, outside of Falerin's Domicile.»

Falerin: Thank you for coming, «You». I realize things are a bit chaotic at the moment!
«You»: Whoa, Falerin! You need to give a person more warning. And yes, the countryside is crawling with strangeness.
Falerin: I am well aware. Unfortunately, I am also responsible for a good deal of it.
«You»: That's what Eldron said...
Falerin: I really need your advice.
«You»: That's somewhat flipped around. First, tell me what you know...
Falerin: Okay, but it's a long story...

Several hours later...

«You»: What a mess. Dhows must be stopped... I see what we need to do... we need to reintegrate you before HE tries...
Falerin: Hmm... indeed, that seem a good idea... but it is easier said than done. I dunno if it's even possible.
«You»: Like you said. Dhows is growing a more severe problem every day... We have to try something.
Falerin: ... and he continues to influence me.
«You»: Hmm. Your pieces... any idea where they are?
Falerin: Scattered far and wide into the many worlds where I was active.
«You»: Hmm... Hmm... maybe...
«You»: Hmm... Hmm... I've got it!
«You»: It is like Beleqwaya, so we need to gather them like we did Bele, too.
Falerin: Hmm... that IS an idea!
«You»: Though your pieces are not quite like his. They're more coherent, while his seemed like mere motes of light...
Falerin: Not quite like his, no. But the process is similar enough. I will send you with a stone, like the one from my staff.
«You»: It appears almost transparent.
Falerin: As you gather pieces it will reassemble them and return to its original state.
«You»: That's the idea! So... Where do I start?
Falerin: My inner child...
«You»: Inner child? You have an inner child?
Falerin: Doesn't everyone? It is broken into two pieces, too, I am afraid... part of it was seen near Battleon, and the other is with my older pieces off-world, somewhere...
«You»: Okay then...
Falerin: And «You»...
«You»: Yes?
Falerin: Be careful...
«You»: Careful? Of what? Of you? Why would you be a threat?
Falerin: I was not the nicest as a younger man. I am the Caelestian god of evil for a reason... There is no telling how you might find me.
«You»: Right, well I am off. See you in a bit.
Falerin: Wait! There is... *sigh* Headstrong...
Abode: I have heard that one about «You» before...
Falerin: Aye, but there is something else I needed to tell «You». *sigh*
Abode: And what is that?
Falerin: My physical body does not appear to be on Lore anymore, either.

«Scene fades. Ardendor and the Mysterious Stranger stand on a teleportation device on the Starship Centerprise

Ardendor: Oops, this is not the world we were trying for. Why can't you do this yourself again?
Dhows: I trapped a part of myself there purposefully already. This interferes with my ability to home in on it cleanly, as I already exist there. Besides, flecks remain near my prison.
Ardendor: That's kind of weird dude. Locking up parts of yourself. Are you a lich or something?
Dhows: No no, no-thing, nothing, at all like a Lich. We can discuss the particularities of my nonbeing being later, Ardendor.
Ardendor: Right. So... Let's see...
Ardendor: Uh...
Ardendor: Something is interfering with my teleportation...
Dhows: You are a deity. Do not be absurd. Quit fooling and teleport us!
Dhows: I apologize, dove. There IS some powerful force moving this way... I can sense it.
Ardendor: Yes. It's very strong. ... WAIT. "I"? You used an "I" statement!!!
Ardendor: See, I TOLD you you had self identity!
Ardendor: Now we just need to work on...
Ardendor: Uh oh...
Ardendor: It's heeeeeeeeeeeeeeere...

«E appears.»

E: E, I finally have you, you renegade. You will be coming with me.
Captain Turk: (on intercom) Slock, report to to Transporter room. We are detecting strangely high levels of "E"-lemental energy.
Ardendor: ... E?
E: Questions later. You come, Now!

«E raises a hand and teleports himself and Ardendor away as Slock enters.»

Dhows: Well, well, well...
Dhows: This could make the game a bit more interesting...
Mr. Slock: Interesting? Hey! That's my line! Just who are you, sir?
Dhows: You can call me Ving.
Captain Turk: (interrupting on intercom) What's going on, Slock?
Mr. Slock: No, that's WHO, not what, Captain. Sensors say WHAT he is. He is a transelemental-transdimensional-shadow. Who is what is unknown.
Mr. Slock: Ving? What sort of name for a shadow is Ving?
Dhows: Well, it's Justel Ving, actually. Justel E. Ving, and that's my cue...
Dhows: Definitely more interesting...

«Dhows suddenly disappears.»

Mr. Slock: Whoever that odd shadow was, he was not the source of the "E"-lemental energy, Captain. All traces are gone.

«Scene fades. Scene: Battleon, where there is a bizarrely twisted version of Blackhawke.»

«You»: Uh... hey... Er, Blackhawke... Do I even want to know what happened to you? And... you haven't seen a ghostly version of Falerin about here have you?
Blackhawke: Falerin? Falerin?!? That crazy Caelestian IS what happened to me! I was minding my own business being my pleasant, kind, and unassuming self and he just went berserk.
«You»: Hmm... that seems odd.
Blackhawke: He went toward Aria's shop... "to play with the pets," he said. Be careful, he's absolutely nuts.

«Scene: Aria's shop, where there is a much younger version (the hair is darker) of Falerin.»

«You»: Hey, Aria. Is everything all right?
Aria: Of course. Better than alright.
«You»: Listen, Falerin.
Fal: Call me Fal.
«You»: Er... right...
Aria: Is something wrong?
«You»: It's just that... Blackhawke said Fal here had gone crazy.
Fal: He said I went crazy? Ooh... that Blackhawke really burns me up.
«You»: Well Falerin, why did you attack Blackhawke and then attach his head upside down? That wasn't very nice.
Aria: He didn't attack him... he ran into him. Hans, Falerin, and I were playing Ghost Tag.
Fal: I was the ghost.
«You»: Naturally.
Fal: But he interrupted our game of Tag to chase us out of the inn, and then... oooh...
Fal: I am NOT crazy! He's just a grump... and he NEVER smiles. So I decided to turn his frown upside down. Now he ONLY smiles!
«You»: A ha haha. Ha... well, you need to fix it anyway... you can't just reattach body parts as you see fit.
Fal: Well... I guess not...
«You»: Fal, I'm afraid that's not all I'm here for. You sent me here, actually...
Fal: To gather up my pieces...
«You»: That's right.
Fal: Darn! Well, this is important, Aria... I better go. Thanks for playing with me and letting me hang out.
Aria: Sure thing...
Fal: Maybe I can come back some time and help... once I am more together.
Aria: I would like that.
«You»: Everything else alright, Aria? You seem distracted.
Aria: Well, Falerin has been a real help around here. He even helped me muck out the stalls! It's just that...
Fal: I love animals. They're SO much easier to understand than people.
Aria: I know exactly what you mean... that's it exactly. *Sigh* It's Hans... I don't even know if he really likes me. He hasn't asked me out on another date, and it's been a long time!
Fal: He does like you! I keep telling you! You need to ask him out again yourself rather than wait for him!
«You»: I agree with Fal. Hans is a nice kid, but he is just a boy... and a nervous one at that.
Aria: *sigh* You're probably right.
Fal: We are right. ... I know! We can help... We will do something nice for you for Hans and give you a chance to ask him!
«You»: Uh... we don't really have time for...
Fal: You want me to get into that stone, come along, and help you to find my next piece, don't you?
«You»: Yes, and to fix Blackhawke.
Fal: Then we find the time to help.
«You»: This is so turned on its head. First, Falerin is depending on me to give him advice...
«You»: And next I am trying to fix Aria up with Hans.
«You»: Well, where can I start?
Aria: Yulgar asked him to deal with the BURP problem in the inn. Hans has been so busy with the WarpForce and things he hasn't had time to start.
Aria: Maybe you could cut the problem down a bit.
Aria: You can do that, right?
Fal: Sure we can! Just call us the Caked Tubers of Porclen.
«You»: You mean the Pied Piper of Hamlin?
Fal: Of course not! If I had meant that crook, I would have said it! He ran off with all the gold, and the children! We're here to help Aria, not get her arrested for abduction!
Fal: Hey, wait a sec... that's a Terran story. How do you know about it, anyway...
«You»: Uh, probably something strange YOU said... plus we dealt with that Pied Burper before, too...
Fal: Hmm... Probably, Lore is full of strange echoes, and Old Me is a real equilateral rectangle... Totally square! How did I ever grow up to be him, anyway...
• Let's go!

«Scene: Yulgar's Inn»

Fal: You have incoming... and he looks quite hungry. You handle that, I will get these other ones...

1 BATTLE: Starved BURP
Full Heal

«You»: That was strangely easy...
Fal: They really like you. It must be all of the cheesy puns you have been exposed to!

1 BATTLE: Pied Burper
Full Heal

Fal: Otra vez!

1 BATTLE
Full Heal

Fal: I have put down thirty. How many have you gotten?
«You»: Eww, you have BURP guts on your shoe. Uh... just the three... but they were a big three.
Fal: That should be good enough. Let's get back to Aria.

«Scene: Aria's shop»

Fal: That should lessen the inn's rodent infestation for a while.
Fal: I wonder the health department hasn't shut Yulgar down! ... Hey, you've changed...
Aria: Nothing get's by you, Fal. And, you were so right!!
Aria: While you were at the Inn, Hans stopped by, and I asked him.
Aria: He's gotten Pra'Mithia's permission to take me on a cruise on the Alteon next week! And we are going to go for a picnic later today!
«You»: We told you so! And now with the rodent problem done, he has time for all that.
Fal: Send my regards to Galrick if you see him there.
Fal: Well then I guess you need to get my act "together" eh? One fragment down...

«Fal shrinks and flies into the gem.»

«You»: Wait, Fal! How am I supposed to fi...

««You» disappear.»

«You»: Whoa... what in the world...
Aria: Hello? Hello? Where have you gone?
Aria: I can hear you still, but I can't see you.
«You»: I think I am being transported someh--

«You»: Where am I? This looks an awful lot like Xitra Regeirk's world, but it couldn't be... could it?
???: Look... up in the sky!
???: It's a bird!
???: It's a plane!
???: No... it's...

«Super-strong Ultra Mega Falerin Man™ falls from the sky.»

???: Super-strong Ultra Mega Falerin Man™!
???: Together with his faithful sidekick, «You», Super-strong Ultra Mega Falerin Man™ will thwart evil, and fight! For great justice!
Falerin: Hi there, «You». I hear you seek my inner child. I can help! Last time I saw him he was at home.
Falerin: Oh, and this is the world you mentioned... something's brewing here... but I do not know what... that freaky priest has something to do with it though.
«You»: That's a good one buddy. I don't know who you are, but if you're going to pretend to be Falerin you really want to do your homework better...
Falerin?: Darn... you can see right through me. What gave it away?
«You»: First of all, your hair is the right color but the wrong shade. Your fashion sense is too "warrior chic" for Falerin's more rarefied tastes. Your muscles are way too big...
«You»: But your biggest problem is your ears.
Falerin?: Ears?
«You»: You're human!
Falerin: So? The old man would be too, except he gave into his vanity... He had himself recreated as an elf, you know. He was never born that way.
Falerin: Which is to say he was ALWAYS born that way, because our second creation god actually remade him as an elf.
Falerin: But my parents were human.
«You»: Uh... sure...
Falerin: He denies it... but my theory is he patterned himself after Eldron the Good. You have noticed how similar they are, haven't you?
Falerin: Of course Eldron is the younger... so maybe what I actually copied was myself... copying Eldron...
«You»: Riiiight... well, with talk like that I have no choice but to believe you are Falerin.
Falerin: That's a relief, since I AM him. There's a lot more to me than musty old books and singing spells. Now then. Inner child... home...
«You»: What? The Abode? Why take me off my Lore entirely to get there?
Falerin: Don't be silly. I did not live in the Abode when I was a child.
Falerin: My parents could not afford that sort of luxury.
Falerin: Now let me get in that stone and set you on the right track.

«Scene: A Caelestian house.»

???: And so the Dashing and Debonair James Frond, a master of disguise, saves the forest once again with the help of Miss Cashnichol and Agent Emen...

*BANG *

???: ... Hey... Who's in my room...
«You»: *sigh* A little warning would be nice, Muscles... and so would not landing in a bedroom closet full of toys.
«You»: I think I sat on a top... ouch... Fal? Fal? *sigh* And I'm alone again...

««You» walk in.»

«You»: Hey, kid... you haven't seen any grown ups around here, have you?
???: ...
«You»: So what... are you ignoring me? Hasn't any one ever told you to respect your elders?
???: No... but they taught me if I do not have anything nice to say I should remain silent.
«You»: ... What exactly is that supposed to mean?
???: They also told me not to talk to strangers.
???: Given your popping into my closet, and having a conversation with yourself, I can tell you are DEFINITELY stranger than me.
«You»: Hey, that's not very nice...
«You»: What kind of place is this anyway?
«You»: ... and what's with your outfit? Do all kids dress like that on Caelestia?
???: Er... No! I'm in costume! Duh... I'm James Frond... Double Oh Eleven... Silly! And I'M weird? I'm not the one popping into kd's closets and sitting on their toys.
«You»: Er... you have a point. So, look. About this adult...
???: ... There are no adults here, there never are... they are always too busy for me...
«You»: Well, this isn't exactly a normal adult I'm looking for. He's more of a ghost...
???: ...
«You»: Ah, that got your attention!
???: You are looking for Falerin.
«You»: Yes! Have you seen him?
???: Nope. Never heard of him.
«You»: Come on kid, I don't have time to be funny. This is serious. Have you seen Falerin?
???: You're just another adult with no time for me too, then... I knew it. As to seeing him... Hmm... maybeeee...
«You»: Please...
???: Yeah. I've seen him. I even know where he went.
«You»: Where is he? Tell me!
???: Hehehe, no!!
«You»: No?
???: First you must play with me.
«You»: I really don't have time for this, kid. I need to find Falerin quickly. It's really important.
???: No play... no Falerin.
«You»: *sigh* I guess I don't have a choice. So you're playing James Frond? Who's that?
???: Nah... I'm tired of that game. You can be a hero now. See, I changed costumes? I will be the diabolical beastmaster... you can be the hero.

«Kid Falerin changes into a suit similar to his Loremaster suit.»

???: See, I changed costumes? I will be the diabolical beastmaster... you can be the hero.
???: If you can defeat my toys... I will tell you what you want to know.

«You»: You said you'd tell me if I played with you!
???: I lied.
«You»: Why you little...
«You»: ...
«You»: That outfit! I didn't notice earlier - I was too busy with your toys. You think you're so clever, don't you... Falerin...
Falerin: Teehee...

«Kid Falerin shrinks (even more) and flies into the gem. Scene: Forest in which three Falerins stand, conversing»

??? (Center): That might have repercussions, y'know... I really think that...
??? (Left): Totally did. That will show them to disrespect me.

«You»: I REALLY WISH YOU WOULDN'T DO THAT!
«You»: Yo ho, what have we here?
«You»: Hello there young fellow... can you point me toward the home of Falerin?
??? (Left): Falerin?
«You»: Yes. Do you know him?
??? (Left): We know him.
??? (Right): Just don't get why anyone would want to find him.
??? (Left): He isn't at home, anyway.
«You»: Do you know where he may be?
??? (Right): Here... there...
??? (Left): Everywhere... *laughs*
«You»: Can you give me a hint?
???: Well... you could always try the caves... heheh...
«You»: Right... thanks for your "help."
??? (Right): That ought to keep him occupied for hours.
??? (Center): That's not very nice, you know. He asked nicely for assistance, and...

The correct Falerin is the one in the center.

If you choose the correct one:

???: So you found me. How did you know?
«You»: You were not like the others.
???: We were almost identical copies.
«You»: Almost, but not exact.
«You»: Your hair color is slightly different. The copies played their games and pranks nicely together. They ignored you.
???: *Sigh* That's the story of my life.
???: So now what?
«You»: Now we move on.
???: Very well.
«You»: First, I just need to know...

«Falerin fades.»

«You»: ... Seriously?! Now what do I do? ...

«Scene fades. «You» are left in gray surroundings.»

«You»: Yeah... we move on, except... I have no guidance at all this time, and I'm not even sure WHAT WORLD I'm on.
«You»: ... Seriously?! Now what?
???: You seek the Arden Door? Pity...
???: You seemed like a nice person...
???: Looks can be deceiving, though.
«You»: Who's there?

«Scene: Falerin in a garden.»

«You»: Lanfiré Dupre? What are you doing here?
Falerin: Not exactly.
Falerin: I just look like him, but that would be obvious, if you had an ounce of sense. My identity should likewise be obvious...
Falerin: Of course... you are running through the universe after my fragments, collecting them...
Falerin: Which, I think we both know, proves you have none. Well, enough chatter... time to get in your stone...
Falerin: Well off to your just desserts. Good luck with my next fragment... you will need it.
«You»: And here Eldron said Lanfiré didn't generally act like a horse's rear end... I'm beginning to doubt his assessment.

«Falerin shrinks and enters the stone. Scene: Red cave.»

«You»: ... Great, another cave. Why did it have to be another cave? And such an oddly colored and dimly lit one, at that?
«You»: Everything is awash in that odd glow...

«Red glow disappears.»

«You»: Okay, so the glow is gone... but now what?
«You»: Watch your step, «You». This doesn't look too good.
«You»: Oh, now THIS is lovely! Talk about split personalities... now I'm talking to myself.

«You»: It just keeps getting better. Look, I don't know anything about a Lady. I don't mean to trespass or anything - I'm lost. I'm just looking for Falerin.
Ghost Knight: Nonetheless, you shall not pass.
«You»: Look, I'm not interested in a fight. I just need to get out of here...

«You»: It took at least an hour to find my way out of that cave.
«You»: And I have been wandering this strange forest for hours too... the sun was up when I arrived...
«You»: This place is almost like Darkovia. If I didn't know better, I could mistake it... but even the trees are strange here...

«Two Orcs enter.»

Orc Magus: The trees are indeed odd here, offworlder. You wander in Immertot. Even the trees reek of undeath.
«You»: How lovely... so how do I get out?
Orc Magus: One cannot simply leave Immertot. One merely hopes to survive it until an opportunity for egress arrives.
Orc Commander: Enough talk. Intruder! You will either come with us as a prisoner or I will kill you and you will join the teeming undead.

«The decahedron grows and spins out of your pocket.»

«You»: Whoa... how did that get out of my pocket... and grow so big...
Orc Magus: Commander... that be...
Orc Commander: It be one of his...
Orc Commander: Be it one of his? This one looks like no priest.
Orc Magus: Nor do we. Oft they don't. Regardless, it is one of his...
Orc Commander: We must run!
Stone: Do you really think you can run from me? ...

«The stone turns into a ghostly Falerin, who strikes the Commander with a spell.»

Falerin: You cannot...
Falerin: Nay, you cannot, and for your abject cowardice I strip you of your service to me and return you to the horrible death from whence you were saved.
Orc Commander: Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
Orc Magus: My lord!
Falerin: Your lord, indeed. Do you attack my friend?
Falerin: Are you done with your service, then? ... Did you perhaps give into the rumor that I was gone? Or, think I had forgotten...
Falerin: I forget nothing. Need I remind you who your patron is, and why you serve... like I just reminded your fellow cleric quite permanently.
Orc Magus: My lord!
Falerin: Well now... you do... run along.

«The Magus leaves and Falerin turns to look at «You».»

Falerin: «You», I am glad I found you. Immertot is no place for casual wandering...
«You»: So I gathered. Undead trees?
Falerin: Even the microorganisms here are undead... it pervades all things.
«You»: Has something else happened?
Falerin: I tried to tell you before you left, it appears my body has gone missing, too... had we acted sooner I could have just forced the stone to combine with the staff my duplicate carries.
Falerin: Now we must instead try tracking them... we must return to Lore and start, if it is not already too late.
Falerin: First, however, I have in tracking you managed to locate a mysterious floating city that transcends the boundaries of realities.
Falerin: Here now... I have the stone and my other pieces...

«Falerin becomes more corporeal.»

Falerin: Dude, you rock! I can corporealize fully now... but if my other body and I remained segmented, he will become an analog. Still, this does by us some time.
Falerin: Finding him may take a while. Let's stop in the store of that floating city. They may have something of use in your effort.

This special mission was extremely long with dialogues and battles and all at the moment of my typing. I'll post up the front parts of this mission ASAP, unless anyone posts it before me. Pardon the long post. This entry begins from when you enter the battle with the FIRST Pied Burper. «You»: First of all, your hair is the right color but the wrong shade. Your fashion sense is far too "warrior chic" for Falerin's more rarefied tastes. Your muscles are way too big...
«You»: But the biggest problem is your ears.
There's a lot more to me than musty old books and slinging spells. Now then. Inner child... home...
«You»: What? The Abode? Why take me off of my Lore entirely to get there?
Falerin: Don't be silly. I did not live in the Abode when I was a child.
Falerin: My parents could not afford that sort of luxury.
Falerin: Now let me get in that stone and set you on the right track.

«You are whisked away to another location along with Falerin. A young child is in the corner of the room.»

???: And so the Dashing and Debonair James Frond, a master of disguise, saves the forest once again with the help of Miss Cashnichol and Agent Emen...

«A huge *BANG* can be heard (and seen).»

???: ... Hey... Who's in my room...
«You»: *sigh* A little warning would be nice, Muscles... and so would not landing in a bedroom closet full of toys.
«You»: I think I sat on a top... ouch... Fal? Fal? *sigh* And I'm alone again...

«You enter the scene.»

«You»: Hey, kid... you haven't seen any grown ups around here, have you?
???: ...
«You»: So what... Are you ignoring me? Hasn't anyone ever told you to respect your elders?
???: No... but they have taught me if I do not have anything nice to say I should remain silent.
???: Er.... No! I'm in costume! Duh... I'm James Frond... Double Oh Eleven... Silly! And I'M weird? I'm not the one popping into kid's closets and sitting on their toys.
«You»: Er... you have a point. So look.
You can be the hero now. See, I changed costumes? I will be the diabolical beastmaster... you can be the hero.

«The young child changes into a costume extremely familiar to your eyes of a particular person named Falerin...»

???: If you can defeat my toys... I will tell you what you want to know.
6 BATTLES
Pied Burper
Toy Chest
Cadenced Cymbal Monkey
NPC-in-a-Box
BlockMan
Nightmare King

Full Heal after battles #2, #4 and #6
«You»: Ok, enough play. Tell me where I can find Falerin.
???: No.
«You»: You said you'd tell me if I played with you!
???: I lied.
«You»: Why you little...
«You»: ...
«You»: That outfit! I didn't notice earlier - I was too busy with your toys. You think you're so clever, don't you... Falerin...

«Falerin gives a cheeky smile.»

Falerin: Teehehe...

«Falerin shrinks into a small orb and whisks you away. The scene switches to a forest, where triplets can be seen...»

???: So I was like, if you're gonna be that way I'll just take my money and leave...
???: I bet that got their attention...
???: That might have repercussions, y'know... I really think that...
???: Totally did. That will show them to disrespect me.

«You appear into the scene.»

«You»: I REALLY WISH YOU WOULDN'T DO THAT!
«You»: Yo ho, what have we here?
«You»: Hello there young fellows... can you point me toward the home of Falerin?
???: Falerin?
«You»: Yes. Do you know him?
???: We know him.
???: Just don't get why anyone would want to find him.
???: He isn't at home, anyway.
«You»: Do you know where he may be?
???: Here... there...
???: Everywhere... *laughs*
«You»: Can you give me a hint?
???: Well... you could always try the caves... heheh...
«You»: Right... thanks for your "help."

«You disappear from the scene.»

???: That ought to keep him occupied for hours.
???: That's not very nice, you know. He asked nicely for assistance, and...
???: If that tool makes it out at all... teehehe.

«Scene: Caves»

«You»: I hate caves. Caves usually mean trouble, and I--!
2 BATTLES
Ziragat, the Undead Dragon
Ethereal Banshee

Full Heal after each battle
«You»: Well, no sign of Falerin here... I, for one, am totally shocked by this turn of events.

«Scene: Forest with triplets»

«You»: He wasn't there, but... somehow I think you knew that.
???: *snicker*
???: *giggle*
«You»: I like practical jokes as much as the next guy, but I'm really busy right now, and I MUST find...
«You»: Practical jokes... wait a minute...
«You»: One of the three of you IS Falerin, is that it?
???: I dunno...
???: Is it? *snorts*
???: Something like that, I guess.

«And you are faced with the ultimate question:»

Which Falerin is the Correct One?
• Left Falerin
• Center Falerin
• Right Falerin

• «If you chose Left/Right Falerin...»

«If you chose Center Falerin...»

???: So you found me. How did you know?
«You»: You were not like the others.
???: We were almost identical copies.
«You»: Almost, but not exact.
«You»: Your hair color is slightly different. The copies played their games and pranks together nicely. They ignored you.
???: *Sigh* That's the story of my life.
???: So now what?
«You»: Now we move on.
???: Very well.
«You»: First, I just need to know...

«Falerin disappears right in front of your eyes.»

«You»: ... Seriously?! Now what do I do? ...

«Scene: Complete Black»

«You»: Yeah... we move on, except... I have no guidance at all this time, and I'm not even sure WHAT WORLD I'm on.
«You»: ... Seriously?! Now what?
???: You seek the Arden Door? Pity...
???: You seemed like a nice person...
???: Looks can be deceiving though.
«You»: Who's there?

«The scene fades in to reveal a lush greenery, with Lanfire Dupre standing in the middle of the scene.»

«You»: Lanfire Dupre? What are you doing here?
Falerin: Not exactly...
Falerin: Well off to your just deserts. Good luck with my next fragment... you will need it.
«You»: And here Eldron said Lanfire didn't generally act like a horse's rear end... I'm beginning to doubt his assessment.

«The fragment of Falerin enters your stone and you are instantly teleported to the next scene.»

«Scene: Red Cave»

«You»: ...Great, another cave. Why did it have to be another cave? And such an oddly colored and dimly lit one, at that?
«You»: Everything is awash in that odd glow...

«The red glow disappears, revealing the actual blue colored cave walls.»

«You»: Okay, so the glow is gone... but now what?
«You»: Watch your step, «You». This doesn't look too good.
«You»: Oh, now THIS is lovely! Talk about split personalities... now I'm talking to myself.
4 BATTLES
Giant Deadwood
Nemesis Guardian
Bun-Summoner
Drakel Militia Group

Full Heal after each battle
«You commence a minigame to navigate the caves, in search of the next fragment of Falerin. Every area you explore will initiate another battle.»

Got it. Thanks. ~Scakk
