Mritha: Don't get me wrong, you've been right on target every time, but this one... was just a bit weird.
Melissa: Mritha's right. And you disappearing without much of a heads-up wasn't exactly wonderful.
Melissa: I had a lot of people asking me where you were, why you were missing and why you wouldn't tell anyone anything.
Kara SuLema: I know. I am sorry. Svera knew where I was, but I also knew she wouldn't say anything definite.
Kara SuLema: It was out of my concern for you that I didn't tell you all where I was going.
Mritha: Still, to leave us in the dark while you were risking life and limb? You are the leader here, Kara, there are expecta--
Kara SuLema: Mritha, I know. But, as leader, I must be willing to do whatever it takes to get us to the next step.
Kara SuLema: And if something were to ever happen to me, Svera knows how things run; my expectations, my goals.
Kara SuLema: And both of you are fully capable of helping out.
Melissa: I am honoured that you think that highly of me to entrust this whole settlement...
Melissa: ... the people who love you and trust your leadership and the movement of freedom, to us.
Mritha: Aye, as do I. And I hope it will never come to that, Kara. You will ensure that, right?
Kara SuLema: As much as I can, Mritha.
Kara SuLema: Now, Svera, what do you have?
Svera: Our source has sent a note saying that Akanthus was seen in a camp outside of Falconreach.
Svera: There were dragons gathering and it is suspected that Saellah is there also.
Svera: Unverified reports of Saellah's dragon, Senthris, being there have been coming in.
Svera: My lady, if Akanthus is there, and Saellah and his fellow defector dragonriders also...
Svera: ... then the rumour that another draconic assault coming may be true.
Kara SuLema: Then that is where I need to be.
Melissa: You can't be serious!!
Mritha: You can't be serious!!
Melissa: You won't be sneaking into the camp of some substandard brigands- you'll be sneaking into a camp full of DRAGONS.
Mritha: Dragons that can smell magic, find you, and alert their riders... Kara, please!
Kara SuLema: No, I am sorry Mritha, Melissa, but this is what I have to do. I need to know what their next move is.
Melissa: But... Kara...
Mritha: I don't approve, at all. I don't care what you think your duties to us are, Kara, think of your own skin for ONCE for Odgne's sake.
Kara SuLema: *sigh* Being a leader making sacrifices that sometimes aren't... well, ideal.
Kara SuLema: It's a lesson that I've learned many times in my lifetime - both as a student and as a leader.
Kara SuLema: I've failed in the past because I wasn't willing to make such a sacrifice. I will not let history repeat itself.
Kara SuLema: Mritha, please request that Odgne tell the other dragons that there is a potential raid or move against them coming.
Kara SuLema: Your group needs to have their eyes open and watching for anything at all strange.
Mritha: But...
Mritha: Fine.
*Mritha sends a message to Odgne, through telepathic communication.*
Mritha: Done, but she isn't happy about this either. Just thought you should know.
Kara SuLema: I expected nothing less.
Kara SuLema: Melissa? Please make sure that you are ready to guide any and all races that are interested in moving once we have the opportunity.
Melissa: You make it sound like you are planning for the worst case scenario.
Kara SuLema: It's what a leader must do. Now, I must go. Please, please, my friends, just do as I ask and do not worry.
Melissa: Yes, Kara.
Mritha: Yes, Kara.
*Svera, Mritha, and Melissa are talking, after Kara has left.*
Melissa: Svera, you know this is a bad move, don't you?
Svera: Do you not think I spent hours before this meeting trying to talk her out of it.
Svera: You... you don't know what happened, what is driving her to do this thing. She has spent a lot of time trying to make up for it.
Mritha: I have a feeling we don't want to know what this past event is.
Melissa: It has to be something incredibly painful to haunt her so.
Svera: Ladies, please look to your people and prepare. We will stay in contact through all of this. You will be the first to hear once we get what we need.
Svera: I wish you weren't always trying to rectify the past, Kara.
Svera: It.. causes you to take chances you shouldn't, sister of my heart.
*You, as Kara, are on the path to a hideaway of The Rose, fighting various Rose Soldiers and monsters along the way; eventually you reach a gate that leads to the hideaway.*
Kara SuLema: So, it is as the reports say. Dragons and riders everywhere. I need to find Senthris, for where she is, Saellah is.
*As Kara heads north from the gate, she finds Senthris outside the Rose hideaway.*
Kara SuLema: Ah, there is the beautiful Senthris. Shame she is on the wrong side. Where Senthris is, Saellah is.
*Kara then proceeds to eavesdrop on Akanthus' and Saellah's conversation.*
Akanthus: You were sure last time. How can you be sure this time?
Saellah: Sure, rub it in. You haven't changed since we were young.
Akanthus: I have a job to do, Saellah. I have to make sure. Both you and Zadd have not exactly been the most productive team members.
Saellah: Yes, and all the others have been perfectly wonderful...
Saellah: Forgive me if I sound less enthusiastic about how everyone is faring against <Character>, Kara, Sulen'Eska, Mritha, Melissa--
Akanthus: ENOUGH!
Saellah: You want to be harsh? I can be that too, you know. You taught me bitterness and harshness a long time ago. Don't try to take that back now.
Akanthus: We did... have fun together, didn't we?
Saellah: I doubt the rest of Lore would agree that what we did was fun... But it was.
Akanthus: Your hatred got the best of you.
Saellah: Oh yes, let's reminisce about my failures and curses. I am bonded to a dragon... thank the lords she is powerful...
Saellah: ... or I would have put her to death a long time ago. It's bad enough I have to tolerate her now.
Akanthus: Does she still try to get in?
Saellah: No, not anymore. After one too many clashes with my psyche, I think she finally understands that I want nothing to do with her.
Saellah: Now she just keeps to herself. Pathetic. A creature like her could never hope to understand my worldview.
Akanthus: Worldview... I like that. I will have to use that the next time my methods are questioned. Now, back to where we are. Your troops are ready?
Saellah: We are still waiting for the southern dragonriders to arrive, but once we have them...
Saellah: ... I will be ready to storm Mritha's camp whenever you give the order. She has this coming!
Akanthus: Wonderful. She probably sees it coming. Her and Kara, both. Bothersome women. I cannot wait to get rid of them for good.
Saellah: And once they are gone, you will go for their families, the fairy realm and any other "sentient" peoples.
Akanthus: Ahahahahaha!, Saellah: Hehehehe!
Kara SuLema: Time to go...
*Z appears in front of Kara, just as she is about to leave.*
Z: Oh, lookie here...
*Kara looks terrified for a moment, then casts a gust of wind to send Zadd off his feet, and turns back.*
Kara SuLema: Ugh...
*Akanthus now has Kara in his hands; unbeknown to her, it was a trap.*
Akanthus: I knew you wouldn't be able to resist, Elf. When you focus on a prize, you lose sight of everything else...
Saellah: And now, we have you. Well played, Akanthus. Very well played. I underestimated her remorse.
Akanthus: Zadd, if you would do the honours?
*Zadd places a magic-binding shackle around Kara's neck, rendering her unable to perform any more wind magic.*
Akanthus: Now... you are mine.
*The screen fades to black, then shifts to Sulen'Eska, where Mritha is located; a note appears behind her.*
Mritha: What is this?
*She picks up the note and reads it.*
Mritha
I am sorry. Akanthus set a trap and has taken me. They are coming for you and the dragons and the Dravir; assembling defectors from all over Lore with their dragons.
You are my replacement. Svera is ready. Forgive me.
Forgive me please.
Kara
*Mritha closes her eyes, then lets out a shrill scream after reading the note; you can also hear a dragon's roar, presumably Odgne's, in the background.*

A direct assault is not the plan. Guests and pet dragon are removed upon beginning this quest and prevented from being summoned as of January 29th, 2021.
