Etaos: These infernals should be nothing for a hardened <Class> as yourself. Heroes From Beyond ???: An elegant display, brother! Etaos: Hold on. Isiri needs to recover after that last spell. Etaos: It just so happens we came from that city you're heading to. Atrea is its name. Etaos: I could give you a tour later, perhaps. Etaos: As you say, brother. The General's Arrival Etaos: We will have to thank them later. They've done much by providing shelter and protection for the displaced Ateala. Etaos: The local Guardians are helping, too. We don't have to do everything ourselves. The Puppet General Etaos: We'll deal with that when we get there! Etaos: If there's anything we can do to make up for it, please, let us know. A Brief Respite Etaos: Ask away, friend! Etaos: The songs sing of decisions made in the name of survival. Of those who fell to allow others to escape. Etaos: We were at peace. Etaos: You are a hero among heroes, <Character>. Thank you. Starlit Sandsea Etaos: You can count on us! Etaos: And that's every refugee accounted for. Welcome to Atrea! Etaos: Relax, Nirios. It's been a long night. Let's be grateful and generous hosts to <Character> and <Dragon>, yes? Etaos: Well then, you two, looks like you're going to be in our care for now! Etaos: Now, shall we begin? Your first steps into Atrea await! Etaos: Looks like the annoying "Raising of the Lens" ceremony actually meant something, after all. Etaos: The Lens is enhanced with trithril, and Cryptics use their mental abilities to keep it high above the city. Etaos: Exactly! This tour serves a very important purpose! It wouldn't do for our visiting hero to get lost in the alleys when we need <him/her/them>! Etaos: Nirios and I live there, actually. As do Alz'ein and Isiri, and others, of course! Etaos: Aha. That is up for her to decide. Etaos: You do not request an audience to see The Empress, she will make herself known when and if she deems fit. Etaos: I wonder if any of the other Unael escaped... Etaos: Ah. Something to worry about later. Etaos: Let's continue the tour! How about we visit the civil district next? Etaos: See you around, Yolande! Etaos: You know I will! Let's see... where to next? Etaos: Oh, I know! The inn! You generously hosted us in Falconreach, why don't we get you a place to stay here? Etaos: Sure thing. Come on, <Character>, <Dragon>. Let's get to the inn! Etaos: Hmm. Etaos: It's definitely more crowded than I remember. Etaos: Ah. Yeah. That makes sense. Sorry. Etaos: Hopefully we can still get you a room to stay in... Etaos: Why don't we get you something local to drink, first? Pay you back for the Moglinberry juice! Etaos: Hey, D'iea! Three glasses of Zin'nichi Brew, please! Etaos: Out of Zin'nichi Brew? Come on. How can that be? Etaos: Don't know if you have anything like it on Lore. It grows in the ground with big leaves, very starchy. Etaos: You can juice the tuber into Zin'nichi Brew, and some people like to eat the leaves. Etaos: The juice is very sweet, so we add in a few spices to balance the flavor out. Etaos: The leaves... well, some Ateala would eat them for every meal, but I think they taste disgusting. Etaos: Seems like however people feel about it, it might be a while until we have more. Etaos: They used to be grown in fields outside the city, you see. Etaos: The sands here might make things difficult. Etaos: Oh! I'm sorry, I'm rambling! It's just such a pleasure to explain basic things such as zin'nichi! Etaos: I imagine so! We'll just have to make do for now, though. Etaos: But, ah, perhaps we can talk about something other than what's been lost. Etaos: What about— Etaos: Actually, as it turns out— Etaos: I'm afraid our tour ends here, then, <Character>, <Dragon>. Etaos: I'll go with Alz'ein and the others to search around. Etaos: Since you're still getting used to the city, I'd suggest sticking with Yolande and seeing if she can find something for you to do. Etaos: Yes, let's go. The Lost Ateala Etaos: It stinks of ashes... but there's more signs of battle. Etaos: Yolande's contacts told her that the visiting hero seemed to have a lead. Etaos: We trust your judgment, and once we were on your tail, it was easy enough to follow. Etaos: Another attack is imminent. Etaos: I shall, brother. Rising Fire (Intro) Etaos: It was quite the little adventure. I'm relieved to see that the assault hasn't yet begun. Etaos: Ah, right! About that. Etaos: We met a Ranger, Zhoom, in Duat, who instantly recognized <Dragon>. Etaos: He was still initially distrustful of me, since Atrea appearing so close seems to have put his people on alert. Etaos: They're fortifying their town, and Zhoom has promised to help fight off any monsters that appear, as well. Etaos: That's good to hear. The Guardians were similarly grateful to have advance warning about the next attack. Etaos: They're still recovering from last time, but they'll send whoever they can spare to at least try to contain the fight in the desert. Etaos: Thanks to the Guardians, I was able to get an emergency meeting with the King himself. Etaos: I wasn't sure what to expect, but I get the feeling he wasn't either. <Dragon> certainly put him at ease. Etaos: After explaining our situation, however, he did not hesitate to promise his aid. Etaos: "An attack on guests within my Kingdom is an attack on the Kingdom itself!", is what he said. Etaos: We will have knights assisting in our defense during the day. Etaos: King Alteon spared no time in issuing his orders, and the knights should arrive shortly. The Harbinger Etaos: Alz'ein, hold on! Can't you feel that? Something's happening... Etaos: Hold on, Alz'ein! Etaos: No... This presence... It's different... Etaos: I do not know. But from the elemental energy radiating from it... Etaos: Some place consumed by fire... Perhaps another of Wargoth's conquests? Etaos: Wargoth's power has grown. He's capitalized on your world's weaknesses. Etaos: ...Good luck, <Character>, <Dragon>! Etaos: Who is the Blue Mage? Etaos: Hold on, you two. I'm getting a message from Nirios. Etaos: I... Etaos: ...I understand. Etaos: It's... about Veyla. Etaos: I'm sorry, Alz'ein. She's... gone missing. Again. Etaos: Isiri took her focus off her for just a second to help the Empress deflect the Avatar's fire onslaught and— Etaos: But, Alz'ein, the sunlight— Etaos: Do not despair, <Character>! You protected many Ateala with your efforts. Etaos: Veyla was already vulnerable. I'm sure Isiri did her best, too. Etaos: And Alz'ein... We'll catch up to her. She's tough. Don't worry. Etaos: You did what you could. Do not blame yourself for this. Etaos: Ah... I'm sure a hero as storied as yourself must have met many hardships in your adventures. Etaos: Come on. We've repelled Wargoth's army again, and it looks like things are calming down. We should be able to head back now. Etaos: Isiri and Nirios can help us decide the next step. Etaos: You're certainly popular, aren't you? After Alz'ein! Etaos: She went after Veyla and the Professor. Etaos: No, Isiri. If you hadn't lent your strength to defending Atrea, many more Ateala would have been hurt, or worse. Etaos: You did what you had to. Etaos: What is it, Isiri? Did the Empress speak to you? Etaos: You got it, brother! The Spire Etaos: Jatiw human, your mischief skills are quite impressive...imagine what you would be able to do with illusions. Brainstorm! (DA Required) From July 20th, 2012: Etaos: Not a chance, I will not let you enter my mind, you are not truely a Cryptic yet. From January 25th, 2013: Etaos: Nirios thinks you are ready. I'm not convinced yet, but... let's try you out!Talk Etaos: You've got some questions I presume?- Who are you?
Etaos: The name's Etaos A'ravi, Nirios' twin brother and the most accurate cryptic in Atrea. I'm also a really good dancer. - Cryptic?
Etaos: The mind is the most powerful weapon. That's our credo. Cryptics do not need any weapons, we use our minds to cause pain. Or pleasure. Etaos: We do not have to be "one with the shadows", we can simply fool our enemy to see what we want him to see. Etaos: Cryptics may seem weak and fragile, but we still are hardly ever wounded, thanks to our decoy illusions. Etaos: The most powerful techniques, created long time ago by unaels, affect not only mind, but also the brain structure and neurons. Etaos: The only limit to your power......is your imagination! - Unael?
Etaos: Sorry, I know too little about unaels to tell you anything useful. My brother is one of them, he can explain it to you. Etaos: Now, to think about that, my brother isn't the only one. Isiri is also a unael. Heal - fully replenishes HP, MP, and potions. Become A Cryptic! Etaos: If you can face your greatest fears... you're ready to become a true Cryptic.- Equip Cryptic - equips Cryptic class.
- Give Armor back
Mind Chamber Etaos: Welcome in my Mind Chamber <Character>. I will extract things you are afraid of, things you regret, from your consciousness... Etaos: ...and you will have to face them. Are you ready? Etaos: Who's that? Etaos: Time for another apparition. Etaos: I think I've already seen enough. You have proven you can deal with your nightmares and... Etaos: Hmm...? Etaos: Now, this is interesting! Etaos: I am really impressed <Character>! Not only you've defeated your nightmares, but you've also shown me your true self. Etaos: Training you as Cryptic will be my, and Nirios' honor! The Empress Etaos: This is no Wargoth, but the threat is as real as ever. Etaos: Retreat is the only optio— Etaos: Jatiw, <Character>. Etaos: Very well. Song of the Ateala Etaos: Shh, <Character>. Nirios is focusing! Etaos: Ah, hush, just listen to that song. Etaos: We're in it! Etaos: Well, towards the end. Etaos: There's some really cool bits! Romance, fighting, tragedy, and comedy, history really has it all. Etaos: Beat 'em all up! Arrival of the Vind Etaos: I think this would be agreeable. Etaos: At once, Alz'ein. Song in Our Hearts Etaos: Nirios is letting me speak to you through him! Isn't this cool? Etaos: Oof, hey—! Etaos: There is no need for pushing! Nirios can— Etaos: Smack this titan with all you've got! Etaos: Nirios, let's go!! Etaos: You're... hngh... up, <Character>! Etaos: What do we do now? Etaos: We hold her song in our own hearts until then. Other information Also known as Etaos A'ravi.
