*You remain in a standstill; seeing that you are in a standstill, Secundus closes his eyes as he implores you to summon Aegis.*

Secundus: Your weaver is at a crossroads.
Secundus: <He/She/They> can either perish, right here and now, forfeiting <his/her/their> legacy and future, or <he/she/they> can claim the pinnacle.
*You think of Secundus' words, causing you and Aegis to be shocked.*

Aegis: Huh?
Secundus: I aim to kill the both of you. Right here and now. This is the catalyst I have waited for. You either die, or you make a choice. At Death's door, one's true identity is revealed.
Secundus: Believe me, this pains me as much as you.

Battle! - Aegis (2) joins you as Guest A; begins battle with Secundus (1).
Heal - fully replenishes HP, MP, and potions.
Run Away! - launches Leave Quest confirmation box; clicking 'Yes' will teleport player to The Fire Paradigm.
Removes Aegis (2) from Guest A.
*You and Aegis try to defeat Secundus, only to fail.*

*You question Aegis as he stops you to continue fighting against Secundus.*

Aegis: I brushed it off. I felt something was wrong, with you, deep inside... and instead of acting immediately, I froze.
Aegis: I... froze.
Aegis: I panicked. I didn't even know I was able to even feel such feelings. I panicked, and I froze.
Aegis: I... knew you needed me. But... I...
Aegis: If I appeared even a second too late... you would have died.
*You reluctantly continue to listen to Aegis' breakdown on why he should be consumed.*
Aegis: By consuming me...
Aegis: There will be no hesitation.
*You respond after Aegis' decision of freezing in order to save you.*
<Character>: You literally didn't catch me.
Aegis: AVATARS, that's... t-that's beside the point!

*Your expression turned into nervousness during Aegis' breakdown.*

Secundus: Which sometimes never comes, leading to the wandering pupal Elemental Spirit husks.

*Secundus is shocked that his laser did not kill you and Aegis; a white Elemental Spirit with rainbow colors, a scar, a cube, and six arms appears; this Elemental Spirit was the one who protected you and Aegis from Secundus.*
???: Death is not on the agenda for these two heroic souls.

<Character>: Who are you?! What's happening? What...
???: Do you stand with each other, by another, bonded as SoulAllies?
*You and Aegis are shocked by the Elemental Spirit's response before facing each other; they nod and smile before saying...*

???: Both of you were one person, one being, for this one singular transcendent moment.
*After explaining how Secundus is banished, you ask for the Elemental Spirit's name.*
<Character>: Who are you?
Aegis: Why did you help us? Where did you even—
Elpis: We are Elpis. We are hope. We appeared because both of you hoped.
Elpis: Hoped so strongly for a better future, a future without the burden of a wrong choice.
*You become surprised at Elpis' resemblance to Tomix.*
<Character>: ...
<Character>: Tomix...?
*Aegis is also surprised.*
Elpis: Not quite.
Aegis: That's why I couldn't find you back then!
Aegis: When I looked!
Aegis: And I looked so much!
Aegis: You're...
*Aegis starts to realize that Elpis is not Tomix.*
Aegis: You're no longer Tomix, are you?
Elpis: No, we're not.
*After a brief pause, you thank Elpis for helping against Secundus.*
<Character>: Thank you, Elpis.
<Character>: I don't think I- we would've done it without your help.
<Character>: We... well, I—
Elpis: Needed hope. We know.
Elpis: Now then!
Elpis: Secundus is no more, and so are his schemes. We have been keeping an eye on you, and we're glad this is the path you have taken!
Elpis: We know you have a lot of questions, so we'll remain here, for the moment.
Elpis: We're really glad, and relieved... that things ended up this way, <Character>, Aegis.

*After Elpis thanks you and Aegis, you look around the Fire Paradigm as you try to find Piotr; however, he is nowhere to be seen.*

Other information
Secundus (1) was not intended to be defeated; losing or fleeing will progress the quest as normal.
This quest contains one of mutually exclusive rewards and consequences depending on which choice was chosen, choose wisely:
- Completion of 'Accept' option unlocks [link=]Fleshweaver[/link], including its training storyline from Secundus; however, SoulWeaver and Aegis (2) cannot be used.
- Completion of 'Refuse' option unlocks Aegis (3); however, Aegis and Elpis replaces Secundus and Piotr in The Fire Paradigm.
- Regardless of which choice was chosen, this quest cannot be done again until 'Rewrite History' is chosen via Aegis / Secundus and the player have to recollect the Memory Fragments again.
