Gedd, good to see you back with Zenz. Can't help but laugh when I think about the epic tag team battle of the Fountain Arena =P

I have no idea why I was so lucky, but I came back from a month of camp on Friday and assumed I had missed the deadline, only to come on here and see I had two days left to get it in.

Don't remind me of the Fountain Arena incident, I've tried to block that incident from my memory. Although this is the same Zenz I used before, he's changed a lot in the 2 years. Notably, he's no longer a cheating person.

Self censored profanity is against the rules.

Sorry 'bout that, forgot. Seems Zenz might not be cheating, but he's still getting me in trouble.

...There are rules about cannon, now? So should Rychaeth die, there is some law, or some unseen force that compels me to never use that character again unless I stage some sort of resurrection? There is some law, some unseen force that compels me to always use the same Rychaeth Leithyr time after time, building on his experiences as I go?

I'm sorry, but I just can't take you seriously with that. Especially because Rychaeth was an only child.

Really, though. What's stopping me from writing two novels, both featuring the same setting and same characters, but neither one even referencing the events of the other? What's stopping me from using the same character in two RPs without having him even acknowledging that the other exists? Nothing, save for myself, and I'm not stopping myself. If Rychaeth Leithyr dies in this year's Elemental Championships, nothing is stopping me from continuing to use him elsewhere.

EDIT: Oh, and hello, Dragon! It's been a while! You wouldn't happen to remember Versilaryan, would you? =D

He fights in a slashing posture when he fights, ready to counter an opponent's attack.

Background: Giovanni was raised as a Paladin in Battleon and an old Oakenvale village. He was corruptted and soon became a Death Knight. He now holds a grudge against all Necromancer's and searches the earth for knowledge on how to bring a person back to normal life. Will not update with conditionally approved status, as seeing this will be close to final anyways, instead the list will just get updated as more are approved.
Will, however, incorporate the participant names, that way everyone has an idea who the "enemies" are.

Water is most lacking in participants, which should mean the easiest route to the finals, unless rectified.

Updated with names...and to my knowledge that's all the approved RPers with their charries, so if you're not on the list and have submitted an application, work out the conditional prefix asap.

Update, Updated: This is most recent. The omf link is still conditionally approved, but I assumed that's worked out from ooc-based conversation.

Vers, I can't imagine how that sounds so familiar *shrugs* (Haha, how've you been!? PM?)

If need be, I can change my character to the water element for competition, and edit his skills.

Coyote:

You'll have to ask Ronin more specifically about that. All I know is, if a character dies in the EC, and isn't revived in some fashion, it's a big no-no to use him somewhere else on these boards. For example, Kell's character Slash died in last year's EC, and is only around because he roleplayed a resurrection for her. His other character, Alex, had to make a significant sacrifice to get his kitty familiar back.

The idea is to maintain SOME semblance of continuity, as well as adding just a bit of actual peril.

Incidentally, the word is 'canon.' A cannon is a large siege weapon, as opposed to plot material considered to be genuine.

Ekiru

Decided to make a new bio, heh...

Name: Ekiru
Element of Participation: Water
Class, if applicable: Water Manipulator
Any abilities that require elaboration: Ekiru focuses on manipulating water in various ways. However not everywhere he goes there is a source of water, so he has created the ability to take water out of thin air, take it from plants around him (killing them) and, he can change the structure of ground and stone and turn it to water. However he can not use the third way as much, since it drains Ekiru rapidly.
The techniques Ekiru uses depends on the supply of water he has. If he has only a small supply, he can compress it into small yet sharp, spikes of water, and send them flying towards the enemy.
If he has a large amount of water, he can create a large wave to strike his enemy.
He doesn't have any 'signature' techniques, he just manipulates the water into whatever suits best for the situation.
On another note, he manipulates water by using his hands, arms, and legs, so if one part is immobilized, he will become considerably weaker.

Vital Statistics: Eighteen years old, 6'3", 140 lbs.
Weaponry: If anything, the waterskin he carries around can be used as a weapon.
Secondary physical description: Ekiru is rather thin, and not very muscular, but not completely flaccid. Ekiru has deep blue eyes. He has straight black hair that goes down to the top of his eyes. His skin isn't pale, but it isn't quite tanned either. He has a robe with a hood, and the colors varies with many different shades of blue. On the back of the robe, there is his personal symbol, three ocean-blue water drops, with the curved parts all pointing towards a center of focus, and a blue circle closed it off.
Background: Ekiru was born on a frozen tundra, so isolated it was not even on any maps. He was raised by eskimos, and they taught him how to build ice homes, and how to catch fish by bringing up the water in which they swam around. It was a cruel training in a sense, because if he didn't catch the fish, he wouldn't get to eat that day, but it made him stronger in the long run. When Ekiru was fourteen, he created an ice raft and mysteriously left his home. All he took was a few change of clothes. He couldn't take all the isolation, he needed to see the rest of the world. It took Ekiru several weeks until he hit land. It wasn't a tough journey, he could separate the salt from the water and could catch fish easily. Then Ekiru began to work on his new technique, of utilizing water wherever it is. It took him three years to completely master it, but he did it. He was seventeen now, and threw away his eskimo clothing (he had to stretch them out for some time now) for his new robes. Ekiru has been traveling alone ever since.

A very somatic-focused version of an elemental manipulator. Simpler, in a vague sense. I like it. Approved. ~Ronin

Canon, cannon... Bah, whatever. I'm not immune to typos. XP

I will talk to Ronin about it, though, because IMO, that "rule" is complete and utter garbage. Frowned upon or no, I will continue to use Rychaeth Leithyr on these forums regardless of whether he lives or dies. Just like I continued using Glithein up until his proper death despite his dying in my first EC waaay back when.

EDIT: I talked to Ronin about it, and I will be withdrawing from the EC. It's not like Darkness needed more combatants, anyways. It's nice, how "death has ramifications" and all, but such a policy does /not/ sit well with me, my RPing style, my writing style, or my philosophies on characters. I wish each and every one of you the best of luck.

I don't think we have as bad a turnout as everybody thinks... I know that last year, there was a lot more ooc discussion than bio posting, and perhaps that's why the page count went up quickly. But so far, we have 27 people, that's 9 in each arena (excluding Skye).

Name: Misty Drew
Element of Participation: Water
Class, if applicable: Half-Eagle Mage

Any abilities that require elaboration:

Flight: Simple enough? Well, to be more specific, Misty can fly for periods of time that are dependent on her surroundings and current condition. Once injured or her wings are tired, she unable to fly, but is left with more of a short glide. (Note: Only Injuries that affect her wings or general back area would prevent flight however. If the injury proves to be more severe however, she cannot glide either.)

Propelling Blast: Misty uses her hands to conjure a powerful blast of mist that propels her forward at dizzying speeds, anyone in the blast radius (behind Misty) is blasted back wards. The blast fails however if used constantly for more than a couple minutes.

Slip and Slide: This power has two effects: 1) On a hard surface, it causes the entire surface to become slippery, causing movement to be slowed. The layer is thin however, and evaporates after a a bit of slipping. 2) On a sandy or soft surface, the water absorbs and makes the landscape mucky, and hard to maneuver in. (Note: this is used to replace Oxygen Absorption.)

Hurricane Spin: Misty spins at speeds higher than imaginable, with her Morning-star-like, Faeron, in tow. the attack leaves a severe wound, but Misty is faced with some serious fatigue afterwards.

Cloud Cover: Misty calls upon her water abilities to create a fog of sorts around her and her current allies. While it might be difficult for the enemy to see, everyone is affected in one way another, whether sight is lost or senses are dampened.

Healing Grace: Using the healing properties of water, Misty takes water to heal her wounds slightly. (Note: Just got rid of Liquefy, obviously that was a bit too powerful. :P)

Misty Glare: Used as her most powerful attack, Misty fires a mist that stops in mid-air. Once they are in mid air, Faeron glows very brightly, and the brightness is severely magnified to a point of blindness dealing serious damage to her opponents, almost rendering them useless. Only downfall to the attack is that Misty uses most of her energy, and in a battle, it might be hard to find that energy to use.

(Link Place holder)

Vital Statistics:
-Weight: 120 lbs.
-Height: 5 ft.11 in.
-Eye color: Ice Blue
-Hair color: White
-Age: 23
-Sex: F

Weaponry:
Faeron (Fair-en): A Morning-star-like weapon. With large spikes attached, it can serious mess the enemy up. It is also blessed with a water spirit that bonded with Misty at a young age, it is her adviser, and she talks to it often. The damage it deals is severe, but it is quite a bit heavier than normal weapons.

Pouch of Triton's Grace: This, while not used as a weapon, holds blessed water, used for several of her spells. However, she is not reliant on this pouch, as she can take water from the air to replenish her powers. Also, she is able to absorb water from wet surfaces or muddy surfaces.

Appearance: She is half eagle, and her most noticeable feature is her white wings. She wears Dark Black armor with a white trim. She has ice blue eyes that show no emotion.

Background:
Misty is a devoted Water-Mage who studied under her parents, for spiritual growth. In one of her assignments, she befriended a spirit, named Faeron, who became her life-long friend. Faeron then embodied a MorningStar, to prevent others from noticing the wind spirit's presence. Faeron is Misty's protector, and would stop at nothing to kill her enemies.

Mastering her element, she was the pride and joy of her town. Of course, Faeron helped a bit, but none-the-less, she was meant for battle. Her lust for power might just be her downfall, but she is always reprimanded by Faeron to keep her cool. Two minds are better than one, they say. It was then that she was called to be part of the Championships.

After being called upon from her parents to attempt a challenge in the Elemental Championships, she quickly accepted, thinking she could squash the competition. But, as fate would have it, winning might not be so easy.

Underlined the new stuff,
~Ray

You are quick on the draw with your edits. I can see Slide & Slide being used to quicken movements, too, with a savvy reaction and the right combination of athleticism and wits. I approve of the limited degree of the healing, too. You adjusted to a different set of balance rather fast and nicely. Approved. ~Ronin

Success is mine! XD Thanks for the Approval Ronin.

Still Watching...

Applications to this point have been processed again. Next look at apps will be at around 11PM EST tonight, provided I am still conscious at that time. Which I make no guarantees about.

Furthermore, with the same stipulation on consciousness, I will post the two assured Arenas tonight. Spike and Cellar. I may wind up using Sky and switching Fountain to overflow instead, which is why the other two are referred to as 'assured' Arenas by comparison.

Hooookay...for some reason, Power Detection makes me think of DBZ's scouters, and all the puns associated with them. Not helped by your Seraphim's doubling ability in length, which screams Power Pole. I was amused for a good bit after.

That aside, if you can sufficiently explain how air vibrations can somehow determine 'power levels' outside of active casting or high-grade enchantment detection (which I'll chalk up to auric effect of magic), I'll allow that aspect of that ability. Further, as long as you consent to needing at least some concentration to know of otherwise unexpected attacks, the rest will fly for that ability.

For a self-professed mage focus character, he still retains an eyebrow raising amount of physical abilities and aids via his weaponry. This is just a comment, not an outright criticism, but it may affect how you get graded in play. Conditionally Approved. ~Ronin

Changes

DBZ, I don't blame you, although that wasn't part of my thought process at all :P. I've made the following changes to my character:

I was in fact setting my sights on the auric energy of magic, but in the interest of keeping my character in check, I'll say he must be within 50 feet of the target to gain knowledge on their power/element, and as for the detection of unexpected attacks, I have no interest in godmodding with outright spidey-senses, so I'll consent that such sensory power only works if he is not heavily involved in combat. (Requested description: The equivalent of observing the ripples in water once an object is dropped into said water. The pure auric energy of mana is transmitted as any kinetic energy is, through collisions between particles. While faint, a wind mage can detect this field of intensified kinetic energy and trace it back to its source, the same way you can locate the origin of a ripple in water. A properly skilled wizard such as Logain has the ability to distinguish the pattern created by the fire element as opposed to the water element, and similarly, can detect the power difference between a weak field of ripples and a strong field of waves. While this may be a poor metaphor, for a more powerful field consists of a more intensified dynamic of collisions, and not of larger ones, you get the idea.)

In the interest of declaring my mage affiliation as opposed to warrior based tactics, the claw length is reduced to 6 inches, and all of them together can combine to build a blade of 16 inches. Seraphim is no longer capable of a 2x extension, though it retains its 3.25 feet form. The spearhead stays, and is a transformative ability in the 6.5 foot form. (agreeable?)

(Note: The weapons are indeed a physical aid, but their purpose lies not in the protection of physical weakness, but in their utilization as wind weapons by a wind mage. The weapons would be considerably weaker and less useful without their elemental components.)

Bio

Name: Logain Dedracio (Hollow, Of the dragons)

Element of Participation: Wind

Class: Mechanically Enhanced Wind Wizard

Abilities:
(Note: While muscular, Logain's power is in magic and the maneuverability of his weapons, not in brute strength)

==High/Long Jump: Can jump 25 feet into the air, or, with proper speed, 20 feet across the ground.

==Quick Movement: Can move at exceptional rates of speed, at 30 mph, sustainable for the extent of his energy, and at "gusts" of 55 mph.

==Extreme Maneuverability: Both of his weapons contain wind element within them, allowing for elementally influenced movement and control of the weapons by Logain. This means intense maneuverability of lightweight weapons. See further description below

==Wind Magic: Very powerful wind magic, this is Logain's preferred weapon. He has mastered wind magic, and has influence over pressure, and therefore weather to a medium extent. He manipulates the wind around him, creating sharp blasts, gusts, and other blows of pure energy. He is also fairly clever, and is keen on using his weapons for ranged combat, slashing the air and transporting that force through the particles into his opponent. His staff has been imbued with a large amount of wind magic, some even say it was touched by the lord himself.

==Power Detection: Logain must be within 50 feet of the target to gain knowledge on their power/element, and as for the detection of unexpected attacks, such sensory power only works if he is not heavily involved in combat. (The equivalent of observing the ripples in water once an object is dropped into said water.

Age: 24 physically, 114 psychologically

Height: 6'9

Weight: 254

Frame: Toned body, all of his weight can be attributed to muscle and enhancing features, and so he appears built but thin
(For description of enhancements, see underlined portion of background)

Weaponry:

==Pentedge: Attached to his right arm is a large claw, which is especially noticeable in battle situations, in which Logain extends his 6 inch curved blades, one from each finger. They can combine to form a 16 inch long blade that extends from the middle of the back of his hand. The blades are retractable on command, and are made out of an element superior to most natural elements found in Lore, for they are constructed out of particles of the wind element itself, bonded with element-x, creating a crystalline matrix unlike any typical bonding patterns found in nature. This complex architectural component means that when the blades meet another, the force of the opposing blade is distributed in equal degrees across Logain's blade, making them ideal combat weapons for they cannot shatter

==The Seraphim: Logain also carries a 6'5 staff, called The Seraphim, a technological marvel of drakel magiscience. First and foremost, it has the ability to be reduced to half its length, or 3.25 feet, when Logain so desires. The 6.5 foot form can become a 7.5 foot spear with the transformative ability of growing a one foot long spearhead. The technological achievement of the drakel in this staff lies in the composition of its body, an ultra-lightweight and extremely hard interstitial alloy. This alloy is composed of Osmium metal and the interstices are filled with an artificial substance developed to remain intact under pressure and force when bonded in a complex web-formation, allowing space to exist where there would be none otherwise. This space is sealed with wind element inside of it, locked shut with drakel magic, allowing Logain's special connection to these particular particles the ability to control the staff in complete combative function from five feet away, and use the staff as a guided spear with fairly impressive accuracy at great distances. On the staff itself are carvings from Logain's claw, all that is left of his memory of Earth.

Secondary Physical Description: His skin is perfect but completely snow white, marred only on the edge of his face, where black marks radiate outwards until a ring of stretches that goes from the top of his head to the edge of his throat and back, which marks the meeting between the perfect skin and what appears to be a burned portion. It is impossible to tell though, for he wears a shockingly modern but brutally tribal silver metal mask, with one half of the mask depicting the happy face of drama, and the other half depicting the sad face. The mask is attached by golden clasps behind his head. He wears a white button up shirt, white pants, a black tux vest, and a white pinstripe overcoat with a high collar and a white lapel. His boots are a shimmering white, and he wears a formal white glove on his left hand.

Background: Logain Dedracio was born on Earth and was in the wrong place at the wrong time when a world-portal opened up from Lore and sucked him in. On his journey, his memory was wiped, his body was terribly burned, and the right side of his body was crushed. A drakel scouting party discovered him close to death at the edge of their woods, and took him back to base. Reconstructive procedures allowed his dead, burned skin to be replaced with a fireproof, artificial material, save for his face. Just before passing out before the procedures, he whispered, "Leave me something to remember." They left his face burned, and moved on to the right side of his body. They replaced his right arm and leg, leaving only the nerves intact so he would retain full control after the procedures, and implanted metal plates all along his right chest and core. Flowing throughout the entire structure, holding it together, they placed metal tubing, strong and hollow to allow for the passage of blood and wind, making it light and maneuverable. The tubing was done in the drakel fashion of perfection, with no after effects, although Logain has not yet gotten used to tubes flowing in and out of his body. Upon waking, Logain was confused and angry, and tore apart his hospital room before he was subdued by guards. A wise drakel engineer and mage came to his aid, and the two became fast friends. Stealing materials from drakel prototype vaults, the engineer designed, built, and attached the Pentedge and created the Seraphim for Logain, but was soon captured and killed. Fleeing persecution, Logain left the base and has wandered the lands for 90 years now, though since the portal event he cannot age. He has trained his warrior ability to be superb and has mastered the art of moving his large frame like an assassin, given the power to jump exceptionally high, though he cannot support his weight to fly, and to move quickly, using elemental powers of wind inside the tubing composing his mechanical enhancements.
His wind powers were discovered approximately 4 years into his adventures, when he wandered deep inside a cave that turned out to be a shrine to the elemental lord of wind. Recognizing his unique origins, the wind god claimed Logain as his own and told him, "If you quest for me for the next 10 years of your life, I shall reward you with great powers." No sooner did Logain return from his last mission, did the wind lord endow him with fantastical powers of wind magic. He did not dare give while not taking away, and he took from Logain some of his strength and size to allow for faster movement, less brute strength and greater speed and tactic.

Alright, this has been brought more fully into acceptable spec, thank you for being understanding regarding it. Approved. ~Ronin

My first RP Bio, here goes nothing!

Name: Alirik
Element of Participation: Light
Class, if applicable: Defender Mage
Any abilities that require elaboration:

Detect Magic: Can detect all magic, passive or not, within 50 feet. Requires a small amount of energy.
Light Flash: A flash of light envelops the entire area, blinding everyone that is caught unawares for about 5-10 seconds.
Heal Wounds: This heals Alirik of minor injuries, with the added benifit of burning anyone in physical contact with Alirik. However, this takes about 20 seconds of concentration to charge.
Holy Shield: Alirik can create a shield of light with a maximum radius of 9 feet around any object. This shield only drains energy from Alirik when hit with enough force and he can cancel the spell at any time.
Vartai Might: Alirik must stand completely still for a full minute to use this skill. Afterwards, he gains increased speed, height and strength for as long as he wants, however this drains an enormous amount of energy from him.

Link
Vital Statistics:
Height: 6' 2”
Age: 23
Weight: 180 lbs
Race: Vartai

Weaponry: A long two-handed staff made of birch that can be flipped with a flick of a thumb into a polearm with runes enscribed onto the blade. He also carries an axe which is hollow on the inside, being able to hold a fairly large amount of liquid, though weightening the axe and making it harder to carry. The axe is silver with gold edges and a thin handle.

Secondary physical description for also reference's sake: He has golden tanned skin, which intensifies on his face. He has wide green eyes and long brown hair with a large mouth. Two long pale yellow horns protude from his temples and arch down ending 8 cm from his eyes. In between the horns and on his chest and limbs, there is a golden rune that pulsates with his heartbeat. He wears a light breastplate and metal arm guards. When it is safe and he needs to concentrate, he prefers to take off the breastplate, exposing his very muscular body and forearms from vigorous training. He wears a leather tunic that has been specially designed to resist magic with a thick unbreakable yet light belt which he carries his axe in. His legs are rather short for his height, but they are tightly muscled and allow him to run fairly fast. He wears metal-reinforced leather boots that allow him to move easily.

Background: Alirik became an orphan at age 2, when his parents were killed in a Vartai clan war. After that, his own clan cast him out as an outsider. Alirik wandered the plains close to his clangrounds until his clan drove him out of those areas as well. Alirik ended up crawling around the desert until a kind Paladin found him on a patrol mission and brought him back to the Paladin Order's headquarters. The head paladin grudgingly let him stay at the HQ, and he began paladin training. A few years after, with greatly improved combat skills, he heard of the Elemental Championships and decided to enter for the glory of the Light Lord, who took him in.

I've already made enough mentions of timescheme difficulties of reference in a fast paced freeform RP combat environ that its slightly frustrating to still see more of them, but what's a Director to do? In the interests of time, namely its lack till the deadline, I'll go ahead and approve this, and I'll just hope you adapt to the system properly. Approved. ~Ronin

Ok, Ronin, serious question. After I sent you that PM, I haven't got one back, so I don't know if I add that PM to my post and repost it or not. If I do, please re PM me the information, thank you.

Or I've already addressed this and merely am not with it this morning! Ignore this Edit. ~Ronin

Sorry omf, they got lost in the flood of PMs. The clarification is fine, so I'll update my comment from C.A. to full approval.

In other news, I'm exhausted, so there won't be another app check tonight or the first arena threads created. I'll be doing them in the morning, whenever that nebulous time is that I get up and functional. This ferret can't get kickstarted with coffee, sadly.

*jaw drops in shock* Wha. What? Can't get kickstarted with coffee? Why, somebody auta teach you to do that! Right now!

Oh, and when will you start making arena assignments? (Just wondering, not telling you to get started, since the deadline was moved back, I want to know if the assignments have also been moved back.)

^ Wise decision to put your money on me to get into the Finals (for real this time). Ever since last year's complete fluke appearance and equally fluke-like advancement (who'd have thought there would be TWO idle kills in a row?), I've been working to improve my writing and combat ability as a metaphor for Cryoface's introspection and continued advancement in his magical art.

I intentionally didn't upgrade Cryoface himself too much...as has been made evident to me, the character is less important than the person behind them. Also, each of my additional abilities served a purpose:

-Frostbow was to deal with long-range combat without having to resort to magic in the early going. Since the arenas tend to be so large and Cryoface's land speed is nothing to write home about, it's useful for catching people that refuse to stand and fight in melee.

-Ice Plate was added to make it harder to land physical blows on him when he does get into his favored situation of in-your-face swordsmanship.

-I continue to have a focus on status effects and strategically altering the battlefield over straight-up damage to a target, though Ice Dragon Spirit is unusual in that not only is it the most directly offensive in his arsenal, it has its uses as an environment changer and reinforcement neutralizer as well. I thought an all-out Ice Needles or Algorstorm would be too high-powered for a character whose primary goal is to get the foe in melee and then beat them down.

Hey, you might get in the finals, but Blaze'll just have to beat you up. Old fassion.

Hey. I just thought of something. Since your character really wants to fight in a fair close-combat situation, if I get into the finals (fat chance, I got DH on my heals), I promice you a fair melee dual, if you promice the same.

Heheh. Ya never know, ont. I didn't make it to the finals last year. There's every chance I may not this year.

I have decided with absolute certainty that I will NOT be participating in the Elemental Championships this year. Since I will be moving across the province during the course of the EC, which includes time spent packing, planning, actual moving, unpacking and general pre and post move mayhem and panic, I feel that I will not be able to devote the time required to maintain high quality and continuous posting. Best of luck to all those who continue onward.

Also, I cannot help but feel compelled to comment on Coyote's issue regarding the life/death restrictions placed on EC characters. It's true that having a character who "dies" in the EC cannot be used again in a following EC unless some sort of resurrection takes place, but this is because the EC is a continuing story of its own. Think about it; if you write a trilogy of books and one of your characters dies in the first one, you're not going to use that character in the next unless you've included some story as to how they're alive when they should be dead. Each EC can be seen as its own book, and death, with few exceptions, is very much a fatal malady. If you think you can do what you want in the ECs just because the character is YOUR creation, think again. You are essentially helping to write a story that is the property of every member of this forum, or at least those who participated. By volunteering your character in a structured competition like this you essentially give up the right to use them as you see fit, at least in regards to said tournament.

Now for the caveat. You CAN use a character that has died in the EC in OTHER RPs on the board, provided you A) have provided a means to resurrect the character in that, or another, RP, or B) indicate that the RP the character takes part in happens during the life of that character BEFORE they lose their life in the EC. So don't look at the rules for this challenge as being unfair because, honestly, they're MORE than fair. No matter who you are, those who enter run the risk of their character dieing. Kell and TD, for example, are incredibly accomplished RPers and writers and even they have seen their creations ground into dust. They've also rolled with it and, in some cases, used it to enhance these characters through the re-birth or resurrection of them, and have successfully used them in following Championships.

That being said, I don't want to see anyone else complaining about that particular rule. Remember, this isn't a "general" RP board where you can create any world you want. This board is based on one world: the World of Lore. The rules surround this fact, which means no, you aren't allowed to claim an alternate universe so that your character "never actually died" because then every other player's character would have to have come from that alternate. So don't be selfish. You chose to follow the rules here when you decided to RP here. Instead of finding reason to argue them, figure out ways to make them work in YOUR favor. That's the hallmark of a TRUE wordsmith.
