*You battle various elementals en route to your faction. Once there, a giant whale-like warbeast emerges from the Swordhaven rift; a large sphere of light illuminates within the warbeast's mouth, and sand begins to rain down upon Swordhaven.*

Hansa: What is going on, <Character>? I sense... an incredible presence.
<Character>: Grand Magus Hansa, something big has emerged from the rift. Something... really, really big.
<Character>: There was a giant creature like this that emerged in the Sandsea too.
<Character>: That one nearly took down the city of Atrea on its own!
Hansa: ...And this one threatens Swordhaven.

Hansa: Hmm.
Hansa: This puts us in a difficult situation.
Hansa: *Gasp*
Hansa: My Queen!
Hansa: It's not safe! We are still assessing the threat.
Queen Victoria: Thank you for your concern, but as Queen, I may go where I wish.
<Character>: What are you doing here, Your Majesty?
Queen Victoria: As of now, I'm issuing orders!
Queen Victoria: The Vind has already sent DragonRider scouts to gain information on this monster.
Queen Victoria: I've also gotten word that The Golden Hand have begun their process of bringing the rift under control.
Queen Victoria: I'm calling for a meeting between the Vind and the Rose to best discuss how to tackle this new development.
Queen Victoria: I'd like you to be present as well, <Character>.
<Character>: Understood.
Hansa: So. We will have to coordinate with the Vind.
<Character>: Will The Rose soldiers be okay with that? The separation of forces so far has probably prevented unnecessary conflict, but—
Queen Victoria: They will have to be. As will the Vind fighters.
Hansa: Then we will take this thing down, and we will protect Swordhaven and her people.
Hansa: In the meantime, we need to ensure the safety of the people of Swordhaven first.
Queen Victoria: I'll see if we can bring out and repurpose some of the city's old defenses as well.
<Character>: Sounds like a plan! I'm sure we'll figure out some way to stop this beast and save Swordhaven!

    Dialogue

    Vseslava: That wasn't us.
Ostromir: This is stupid... We need more time!
    <Character>: Knights, please, stand down.
Knight (1): They summoned that thing from the Rift! We have to stop them from bringing more through!
<Character>: That monstrous creature wasn't the fault of The Golden Hand!
<Character>: There was something... similar that I fought out at the Sandsea rift!
<Character>: The Golden Hand wasn't around for that. This isn't their fault.
Knight (1): You say that, <Character>, but you've been chatting with them this whole time.
Knight (2): How do we know you aren't in league with these... Magesters?
<Character>: Look, I'm as surprised as you all are. Maybe if we all calm down, Vseslava and Ostromir can... provide some context for this?
    Ostromir: ...Waste of breath...
Vseslava: Look. You've all just encountered a... what's the word?
Vseslava: Help me out here, Ostromir.
    Ostromir: A Tytan.
    <Character>: A Titan?!
Vseslava: Correct, a Tytan. They are rare, obviously massive, monstrosities that preside over the... locations on the other side of the rifts.
Ostromir: We couldn't control them if we wanted!
Vseslava: These creatures change the world around them.
    Ostromir: Terraform.
Vseslava: That's our current theory at least. It's also possible that they are a product of their locations.
Ostromir: Regardless, we've been seeing the effects of this creature and or the location of this creature's origin passing through the rift.
Vseslava: Unfortunately, it seems we were too late to bring it under control.
    Ostromir: Stupid machine!
Vseslava: Now, does that answer all your questions? Can we please get back to work?
Knight (3): So... if you get control of the rift, does this, uh, Titan... Does it return back to where it came from?
    Vseslava: Unfortunately, no.
    Knight (1): Then we're doomed!
Knight (2): What's going to happen to Swordhaven?
    Knight (3): It's too late!
<Character>: You can't give up now! Swordhaven is depending on you!
<Character>: You all protect The Golden Hand while they wrest control of the Rift.
<Character>: I'll see what I can do about this Titan.
<Character>: Maybe I can get in touch with the Vind and the Rose and we can form a plan.
Ostromir: That's probably the best decision for now.
    Knight (2): Keep working, Magester.
Vseslava: Blah, blah. Don't take too long, <Character>, these fools are already impatient.
Ostromir: Look, this is an intricate magical process, the details of which would tie your shriveled excuse for a brain in knots and—
Vseslava: Take care, <Character>. We'll set up camp here and continue working. And I'll make sure Ostromir doesn't explode.
<Character>: Look, Knights of Swordhaven. I know you distrust The Golden Hand, but I trust them and I promised to help them.
<Character>: If they do anything wrong, I'll take full responsibility.
<Character>: Just please continue to protect them while they do their work.
Knight Captain: Understood, <Character>. But if they do anything out of line—
    <Character>: Then it's on me.

    Dialogue

*You battle various elementals en route to your faction. Once there, a giant whale-like warbeast emerges from the Swordhaven rift; a large sphere of light illuminates within the warbeast's mouth, and sand begins to rain down upon Swordhaven.*

Melissa: This is really bad, Kara. Many of the dragons and their riders are still recuperating after the defense of Atrea.
Alz'ein: It's certainly trickier for the Riftwalkers to attack a flying target than one planted on the ground, as well.
    Kara SuLema: ...
Melissa: Kara, what's on your mind?
Kara SuLema: We have to find a way to stop this new threat, but our resources are lacking.
Kara SuLema: We must coordinate with The Rose.
<Character>: Isn't this going to be an unpopular decision, Kara?
Alz'ein: I'm confused. We have an alliance, with them, do we not? Are we not already coordinating with them?
Kara SuLema: Dear Alz'ein, unfortunately, many of the Vind are not so quick to accept the realities of our situation.
Kara SuLema: Most of the Vind have been personally slighted or worse by members of The Rose.
Kara SuLema: With the separation of duties in the protection of the city, we've managed to avoid much conflict.
Kara SuLema: But to take this new threat down will require working much more closely with The Rose.
Melissa: Perhaps <Character> and I can meet with them to set up a plan?
<Character>: That would probably be for the best. They know me, and I trust Melissa to control herself.
Kara SuLema: But if Jaania is there—
Melissa: Then we will pass on the message that you wish to speak to her personally.
    Melissa: Right, <Character>?
<Character>: Yes! You can count on us.
Kara SuLema: Very well. I'll talk to our... our family. This is going to be difficult for them.
    Alz'ein: It must be done.
Kara SuLema: It must. I believe we can put aside our enmity, if only to save the world.
