<Character>: I'm sure he's fine! Think positive.
Gerek: Ah, welcome! Looking for a haircut?
Gerek: I don't really have much to say. Sorry, I'm just a simple barber.
Gerek: I could always help out if you're a rogue and need info on poisons. Can't ever be too careful when you're out traveling around.
Gerek: I wouldn't think too much about that though. Everyone has secrects, mine are my own.
Gerek: So, about that haircut...

Starts the quest Ravenloss Streets
Opens Tooth Rings
Dorian: The void is no longer a part of Ravenloss. Thanks to you, hero!
Lanrete: I'm not ready yet to open the SoulForge!
Lanrete: *sigh* Hello, <Character>. Welcome to the SoulForge.
- Who are you?
Lanrete: Huh? We've met already, why are you asking me who I am? Man, your memory is rubbish. I'm Izaac's brother. I'm a SoulSmith.
- Izaac & Riadne
Lanrete: They live here for now, but they are moving out soon. They don't want Tomix to grow up underground.
Lanrete: *sigh* SoulSmiths are weavers who don't want to weave. Instead, we use tools to bind Elemental Spirits into objects.
Lanrete: Sentient objects. Weapons that act according to the wielder. Accessories that react to the emotions of the wearer.
Lanrete: Yes, Elemental Spirits were people once. No, this is not unethical. (You were gonna ask that, weren't you?)
Lanrete: We use undeveloped Elemental Spirits. Unlucky sods who died and didn't have the will to head on to their lives.
Lanrete: Weavers who, after death, stayed in the "larval" stage of the spirit. Real talk, we're doing them a favour.
Lanrete: Without us, they'd either get absorbed by corrupted Elemental Spirits or just simply fade away. We're giving them a purpose.
Lanrete: So, nothing unethical about it.
How does this work?
Lanrete: First things first, you will need an Elemental Spirit. The ones we need are those in the earliest stage of the spirit development.
Lanrete: They can be found in wild areas filled with elementals. They attract those. Elemental attunement or something. I won't get into details.
Lanrete: These Elemental Spirits will be used as a "core" of the item you're making. They will give this item special properties and elemental alignment.
Lanrete: Next, you will need a cast. Not just ANY cast. A SpiritCast. I will make it for you... for a price. I need money, ya know...
Lanrete: Then, go to the SoulForge, insert the case and the Elemental Spirit you want to use as a core. The forge itself will do the rest.
Lanrete: It takes a while to build a forge like that... a lot of time and dedication. I'm very proud of her, if I do say so myself!
Lanrete: Anyway, ya, the forge should combine the cast and the core into an item.
Lanrete: Just so you know... do not make more than one item of the same type. SoulForged items are sentient. They might get... jealous.
Lanrete: If you make a staff, and then make another, better one, the previous staff can, and WILL, assume the same properties as the new one.
Lanrete: That is all.
Acquire the Elemental Spirits
Lanrete: Take your SoulAlly with you. It can sense and see other Elemental Spirits. (Aegis will join you automatically for these quests.)
Obtain a Spirit Cast - Opens Spirit Cast shop.
Soulforge Items! - Opens the SoulForge.
Aegis: <Character>! Hey! You should visit more often! Or... you can stay here, if you want.
Invite Aegis! - Adds Aegis as Guest B
Aegis: Hey <Character>... I have a surprise for you. Could you drop by my house later?
Takes you to Just Chillin'
Aegis: There is an empty bedroom upstairs. I don't sleep, so I don't need it. If cold doesn't bother you, feel free to stay here!
- I'd love to!
- I hate cold...
Aegis: I'm all ears.
Aegis: I felt it. The moment when you were trapped. I tried to unfreeze you, but a dragon was guarding the ice block.
- You look different
Aegis: Ah, well, that is thanks to you I suppose. You see, I'm an elemental spirit of valor, and my element is ice.
Aegis: You were trapped in a very powerful ice crystal, created by some potent magic.
Aegis: Since we are linked together, over the years, my power kept rising because you were frozen. Obvious, if you think about it.
- Your past
Aegis: What's with this sudden interest in my past? Well... I lived a really long time ago, studied in Edelia, and died.
Aegis: After death I was supposed to help other elemental spirits and wait for a soulweaver to bond with me. I did what I was told to.
Aegis: Over time, I became "friends" with Pandora. I pitied her, she had no one else, for she was the founder of Chaosweavers.
Aegis: And then you came.
- Your death
Aegis: I was on a mission in Northlands with other soulweavers, we were sent to investigate some spherical artifact.
Aegis: We were in an ice cave, when the other soulweaver stepped on thin ice and fell into the water.
Aegis: I jumped in to save him, and succeeded, but he pushed me back into the ice cold water. I drowned.
Aegis: I don't know why he pushed me. I didn't try to find out after I died.
Aegis: It's nice, isn't it? I actually got used to staying here, on Lore, instead of in the Plane of Elemental Spirits.
Aegis: This house was abandoned, so I moved in. I'll be staying here from now on, I needed a place for myself.
Aegis: Feel free to drop by anytime and ask for help! That's why I'm here!
Aegis: Oh, and Yashta lives next door. I guess he's your ally now too, huh? He's... different. Very obedient.
Aegis: It doesn't matter what the future holds. I will always be watching your back. We are bonded until you die.
Yashta: Welcome <Character>. I'm staying here, in Ravenloss, just as I promised.
Yashta: I'm ashamed of myself for asking, but could you venture to the caves deep beneath Atrea and gather some trithril stones for me?
Yashta: I'm still setting up my house, and I forgot to gather the stones for my fighting practice.
Trithril for Yashta
Starts the quest Trithril for Yashta
- Your story
Yashta: I have known my fate ever since I turned eight. The Empress herself appeared in my house and told me my destiny.
Yashta: I have known yours and Tomix's name and who the two of you would be long before you were even born.
Yashta: I've spent my entire life waiting and preparing for the day where I would meet you.
Yashta: My fate was to serve you and guard you with my life. I have failed in protecting Tomix.
Yashta: However, I will not fail in protecting you.
Yashta: I don't understand this word.
<Character>: Umm... a "hobby" is an activity you like doing. Reading ancient books, collecting legendary treasures, things like that.
Yashta: For what purpose?
Yashta: I enjoy fighting. Does that count?
<Character>: I suppose.
Yashta: Then my oby is fighting.
<Character>: There you go.
Yashta: I do not use weapons. I fight with my fists. When I became an Unael, I didn't take any zodiac sign. Instead, The Empress blessed my hands.
Yashta: I am incredibly strong and resistant. I have no weaknesses. My fists can pierce through a trithril coating.
Yashta: I can regenerate faster than other atealans. I can sneeze with my eyes open. I see in darkness. I don't have to blink. That would be all.
- Your race
Yashta: You wish to know more about ateala? Very well. We called ourselves "planewalkers".
Yashta: Long before Wargoth, our race was traveling through planes, learning different traditions and cultures.
Yashta: Then Wargoth attacked us. We were stranded on Somorah, a planet without a sun, for many generations. Living under his reign.
Yashta: Wargoth left, but we couldn't. We have lost our ability to planewalk. We've lived on Somorah, adapting to a world without a sun.
Yashta: And Wargoth attacked again. But this time, with the help of the Professor, we managed to go through a rift to your world.
Yashta: You know the rest.
You can visit Tomix's grave directly through the portal once you complete the Epilogue.
