Armor Tier Breakdown

As there is always confusion with certain things, here's a breakdown of every non-temporary armor in the game and what tier they fall into.

For the purposes of this, a "Tier" refers to how strong the armor is in relation to other armors. This means that if an armor is "Tier 2" it is close to the strength of other armors of that Tier and is stronger than those below it. This guide is going from Strongest, Tier 4, to weakest, Tier 0. This will be updated when new armors come out so there's a general idea of where each armor is in the overall power scale of the game.

Something to note, not all armors are fully updated to fall into where they should be power wise. You will find a note next to that armor's name if this is the case. Also keep in mind that these are not temporary armors. Things like the Nythera armor, the Xan armor, or the "Cat" armor aren't included here because you can't use them all the time and they don't follow the normal power levels. If an armor is available from the armor closet it is considered a "permanent" armor for the sake of this breakdown.

Tier 4

These are the strongest armors in the game.

  • DoomKnight Armor (DA)
  • DoomKnight Variant One (DA) / (Rare) / (SO)

    Tier 3

These are some of the stronger armors in the game. They are either DC armors, armors that require you to train one or more armors of a lower tier, or are Special Offer armors.

  • Ancient Exosuit (DC)
  • Archivist (SO)
  • Ascendant (DA)
  • Ascended ChickenCow Armor (DA) / (DC)
  • Avatar of Time (Rare) / (SO)
  • Chaosweaver Armor (DC)

  • Chronomancer Armor (Rare) / (SO)
  • ChronoZ (Rare) / (SO)
  • Color Custom Ascendant (DA)

  • Pyromancer (DC)
  • Riftwalker (DA)
  • ShadowWalker of Time (SO)
  • SnugglePanda (Rare) / (SO)
  • TimeKiller (Rare) / (SO)

*While this armor is currently inferior to other Tier 3 classes, the method by which it is obtained warrants it being given a Tier 3 rank. This armor may be updated in the future to bring it in line with other Tier 3 classes.

    Tier 2

These are the average armors of the game. They are either linked to a story line, a holiday event, or are just above the base classes power wise.

  • Color Custom Ninja Armor (DA)
  • Color Custom SoulWeaver (DA)
  • DragonMage Armor (DA)
  • DragonRogue Armor (DA)
  • DragonSlayer Armor
  • DragonWarrior Armor (DA)
  • Dread Pirate Armor (DA) / (DC)
  • Dreaming Togslayer Armor (DC)
  • Evolved ChickenCow Armor (DA) / (DC)
  • Frost Moglin Armor (Seasonal)

  • SoulWeaver Armor
  • Technomancer Armor
  • Togslayer Armor (Seasonal)
  • Zardbie Armor (Seasonal)

    Tier 1

These are the basic armors. You start out in these, are different versions of the base armors, or are simply not on the same power level as any armors above it, but aren't "joke" armors.

  • Ancient Shadow Mage Armor (Rare) / (SO)
  • Ancient Shadow Rogue Armor (Rare) / (SO)
  • Ancient Shadow Warrior Armor (Rare) / (SO)
  • Mage Robes (Base Class)
  • Rogue Leathers (Base Class)
  • Shadow Mage Armor
  • Shadow Rogue Armor
  • Shadow Warrior Armor
  • Warrior Armor (Base Class)

    Tier 0

These are "joke" armors. They either have no real skill effects, are meant to be funny, or simply don't have a full skill set which doesn't allow them to stand up to most normal quests and bosses.

  • Angler
  • ChickenCow Armor
  • Dimensional Transphaser
  • Ninja Monkey
  • Pirate Monkey
  • Snugglebear Armor
  • Student
