    Raven and Thursday
    (before Ambition's Crossroads)

    Thursday: Hi, <Character>!
    Raven: Hi, <Character>.
<Character>: Thursday! Raven! Hello! What are you two doing here?
Thursday: We heard from Magus Neron that you'd be making your way to Doomwood and...
Raven: And we thought we'd come to say hi and help out!
<Character>: You're not needed back in Amityvale?
Raven: Well... Maybe we didn't tell Magus Neron exactly what we were doing...
Thursday: Or that we were leaving.
Raven: But come on! We couldn't miss out on this adventure.
Raven: Magus Neron managed to get reinforcements from the vampires and werewolves too, so I'm sure we won't be missed.
<Character>: How did Neron manage to set up an alliance with the vampires and werewolves?
Thursday: Safiria actually approached Magus Neron first.
Thursday: She saw the threat that the rift posed to all of Doomwood, and she's taken a commanding role in its defense.
Thursday: The werewolves took some convincing, since they're not quite as... centralized.
Thursday: It took a lot of howling–
    Raven: AWOOOOOOOOO!
    Thursday: ...
Thursday: –and some fights, but for the most part, the werewolves are keeping themselves in check, if not entirely on our side.
    <Character>: Impressive!
Raven: Right? Now let's see about these ruins...
Thursday: I hope we brought enough snacks.

    Grand Magus Hansa
    (before Ambition's Crossroads)

    G. M. Hansa: There you are, <Character>. I've been looking for a chance to continue our earlier conversation.
<Character>: Right, I believe you were telling me about Jaania, and what happened when I was frozen?
    G. M. Hansa: Yes. After Jaania initially recovered from freezing you and Warlic, she began traveling...
    G. M. Hansa: ...and made a name for herself as a hero in your absence.
    G. M. Hansa: However, these minor skirmishes paled in comparison to the rise of Yalla, the Arch-Druid.
    G. M. Hansa: She had awoken from her slumber in the Whispering Steppes, and recruited an army of her kind, of elves, to conquer Greenguard.
    G. M. Hansa: Jaania and her followers came to the defense of the land.
    G. M. Hansa: With Jaania's full might at the forefront, she crushed Yalla's conquest before it grew too widespread.
    G. M. Hansa: However, this was not enough for her.
    G. M. Hansa: She and what was now The Rose pursued the elves back to their hidden homeland, to the Dreamwood.
    G. M. Hansa: In our desire for revenge, we cared not who we struck down, as the elves did not either in their invasion.
    G. M. Hansa: Eventually, Jaania began preparing a mighty spell over the course of weeks.
    G. M. Hansa: One that would have prevented the elves from ever returning to Greenguard.
    G. M. Hansa: A spell that would have annihilated the Dreamwood and all who lived in it.
    <Character>: That... sounds awful.
    G. M. Hansa: Perhaps from your perspective, but the elves were not merciful in their conquests. To Jaania, she was removing a risk.
<Character>: So, what happened? Did Jaania cast the spell?
    G. M. Hansa: She received an envoy from the elves, led by one Kara SuLema.
    G. M. Hansa: The very same Kara who now leads the Vind. Although at the time, she was simply an elf among many.
    G. M. Hansa: Kara and Jaania spoke privately for some time, at the end of which, Jaania ordered a retreat from the Dreamwood.
<Character>: So Kara convinced her to not destroy her people?
    G. M. Hansa: It seems that way. Their discussions had a major impact on Jaania.
    G. M. Hansa: Ever since, however, she has been adverse to using her most powerful magic, for fear of the consequences.
    <Character>: Wow.

<Character>: Kara must have been very persuasive.
    G. M. Hansa: Perhaps. Or she used some other means to twist Jaania's will.
    G. M. Hansa: Regardless, that is why Jaania is afraid to use her full potential.
    G. M. Hansa: She came close to annihilating an entire culture, and while it may have seemed logical at the time...
    G. M. Hansa: ...she failed to consider the consequences.
<Character>: But there's a difference between using magic to destroy and using magic to protect!
    G. M. Hansa: <Character>, magic changes the world. Whatever purpose the magic is used for, change is effected.
    G. M. Hansa: Jaania has a need to know the effects of her actions.
    <Character>: Hmm.
    G. M. Hansa: On a lighter note, these ruins are certainly interesting, aren't they?
    <Character>: They are!
    G. M. Hansa: They seem similar to many of the other ruins that dot the Whispering Steppes, as well as a certain other location...
    G. M. Hansa: I'll have to do more research, but the similarities to the Ruins of Hawkscry are undeniable.
    <Character>: The Ruins of Hawkscry?
    G. M. Hansa: I'll tell you about them another time.
    G. M. Hansa: We have a rift focus to find for now!

    Eulin Verriton IV
(after A Shocking Discovery, before Ambition's Crossroads)

    Eulin Verriton IV: Greetings, <Character>!
<Character>: Hello, Prince Eulin. I hope your accomodations have been satisfactory? Have The Rose been treating you well?
Eulin Verriton IV: While not my... usual lodgings, Raven has done her best to keep me comfortable, and dare I say, pampered! I've had a few pokes and prods, but nothing too invasive.
<Character>: Do you mind if I ask you some questions about you and your home?
Eulin Verriton IV: I'd prefer asking you more about The Beyond! But I understand. The allure and majesty of the Manufactory calls to all. What would you ask of me?

  • About Humans
<Character>: You don't seem too surprised to see humans. Are there humans in the Manufactory?
Eulin Verriton IV: Humans are quite rare, but do exist. They are the premier scholars of Beyondspeech, although I don't think many, if any, have been to The Beyond themselves.
Eulin Verriton IV: Of course, others like myself study Beyondspeech for its similarities and roots in Ancientspeech. Drahrspeech as well!
Eulin Verriton IV: Although, from what I understand, humans have trouble with Drahrspeech. Tis a pity. It is a beautiful language.

  • About Dragons
<Character>: You seemed even less surprised to see <Dragon> than us humans. I take it dragons are a common sight in the Manufactory?
Eulin Verriton IV: Not in the Manufactory itself, no. We would not deign to compete with such savage creatures! But they are certainly not uncommon elsewhere.
Eulin Verriton IV: I've not seen one for myself before, though. From the stories, I'd have expected them to be bigger. Maybe the dragons of The Beyond aren't as scary.
Eulin Verriton IV: I'm sure the dragon that rules over you all is a most wise and benevolent ruler. After all, size isn't everything, as evidenced by myself!

  • Your World
<Character>: You call our world "The Beyond". What do you call the world you came from?
Eulin Verriton IV: We call it The Plains. The more uncivilized parts are sometimes referred to as The Wastes, but there are those of us with power who wish to see the lands united. As The Plains.
<Character>: I've heard about the Elemental Planes. I wonder if they're related, or possibly the same places.
Eulin Verriton IV: Maybe. Beyondspeech can be an imprecise language at times.

  • The Manufactory
<Character>: Can you tell me more about the Manufactory?
Eulin Verriton IV: The Manufactory is the crown jewel of the Energy Plains! A massive city and factory, the center of innovation. And also my almost birthright.
<Character>: You're a Prince, aren't you? But seeing as you were pursued by assassins, I assume the political situation is tricky.
Eulin Verriton IV: Yes. I am the second prince. Unfortunately, that means my older brother is in line to take over before I am. And it also means there are quite a few siblings behind me!
Eulin Verriton IV: My older brother is content to allow the Manufactory to continue its current course of isolation- but I disagree.
Eulin Verriton IV: I believe that only through trade and exploration can we gain knowledge and innovate as we did in the early days of the Manufactory.
Eulin Verriton IV: But of course, not everyone agrees. I doubt my brother was directly behind the assassins, but perhaps another sibling among his allies.
Eulin Verriton IV: Hmm. While I don't miss the politics of home, I hope everything is okay while I'm here in The Beyond.

  • See You Later!
Eulin Verriton IV: I was happy to speak with you! I myself must continue my investigation of The Beyond! There's so much to see and learn.
<Character>: Take care, Prince Eulin. And try not to wander off on your own!
Eulin Verriton IV: Worry not. I have no intent on betraying the trust of my subjects. Especially when they've been so useful!
Eulin Verriton IV: And to be quite honest, I'm not sure if Raven will let me out of her sight. I don't suppose I could take her with me when I return?
Eulin Verriton IV: Only a jest.
Eulin Verriton IV: Although, she does often offer to carry me around. I may have to acquiesce to that demand some time...

    Thursday
(after Ambition's Crossroads, before Grinding Gears)

<Character>: Hey Thursday. How are you doing?
Thursday: I was going to ask you the same thing. <Dragon> is a dear friend to you. This isn't easy for any of us.
    <Character>: I... Yeah. We'll find them.
Thursday: They're out there somewhere. Raven's out there. I know it. She... she has to be.

    Grand Magus Hansa
(after Ambition's Crossroads, before Grinding Gears)

    G. M. Hansa: It's important to take breaks, <Character>. I can tell how worried you are.
<Character>: <Dragon> is out there somewhere. Raven, Ostromir, and Eulin too. Have you found anything yet? Anything at all?
    G. M. Hansa: No sign yet in the forest. So that narrows things down to the ruins. And as you know, those present their own challenges.
    G. M. Hansa: But we're not giving up, and I know you aren't either.
    G. M. Hansa: I've sent word back to Swordhaven about what happened, but in the meantime, let's get back to the search. After you rest up.
    G. M. Hansa: Don't worry, we will find them.
<Character>: Thanks, Hansa. I appreciate it.
    G. M. Hansa: The Rose is here to protect the people of Greenguard. And I won't abandon our allies.

    Raven and Thursday
    (after Grinding Gears)

<Character>: Hey Raven. It's good to have you back.
Raven: Hi, <Character>. I'm glad I'm back, too!
Thursday: Hi, <Character>! I'm just telling Raven how worried she made me.
<Character>: Well, it wasn't really her fault she got captured.
Thursday: I know, I know. But still. I'm just... glad you're back, Raven.
<Character>: Did something happen between you and Ostromir, Raven? Things seemed tense earlier.
Raven: I think I've told you before, how my family had to escape from the Shapeless Empire.
Raven: Getting locked up with a Magester... well, I shared with him a piece of my mind.
Raven: It didn't make me feel any better, and I still hate the Magesterium.
Raven: I thought I was past it. That I moved on. But Every time I see them in their fancy suits, talking about the Shapeless, I...
Thursday: Oh Raven... It's okay. I'm here for you. We're all here for you.
<Character>: If you need us, we'll be here. I apologize for bringing it up.
Raven: It's okay, <Character>. I know you were curious. Thanks, both of you. I'll be alright!

    Grand Magus Hansa
    (after Grinding Gears)

    G. M. Hansa: Hello, <Character>. Are you ready to take this fight to the rift?
<Character>: I am. I hope the Lagohm are reasonable.
    G. M. Hansa: Hope is a wonderful thing, but reality is often different.
    G. M. Hansa: I worry for our guest, the Prince. It is never easy to oppose one's own people. Or one's own family.
    G. M. Hansa: And yet, I admire him, too. The amount of determinination I feel from him eclipses most in The Rose.
    G. M. Hansa: If he were given the means to pursue his dreams, well, I'm glad he's on our side.
<Character>: Thank you for your insight, Hansa.
    G. M. Hansa: Anytime, <Character>.

    Eulin Verriton IV
    (after Grinding Gears)

As original dialogue, with one additional option:
  • How are you doing?
<Character>: Is everything okay, Prince Eulin? Seems like you're going through a lot right now.
Eulin Verriton IV: I'm um... stressed.
Eulin Verriton IV: I don't want to disobey my father, but I also don't want to see the Beyond colonized.
<Character>: What exactly does colonization from the Lagohm entail?
Eulin Verriton IV: Well, first we induct the populace into Lagohm society. Sometimes that needs violence. I think here, that would be a necessity.
Eulin Verriton IV: Next, we gather resources. All of them. The Manufactory demands a constant influx of fuel, after all.
Eulin Verriton IV: And finally, terraforming. Using Energy magic and elementals, we change the climate and area to better fit the Lagohm, and it joins the Manufactory.
<Character>: I don't think anyone on Lore would appreciate that.
Eulin Verriton IV: And I don't think it's worth trying to convince you all that it is. Instead, something more sustainable may be in order. But my father refuses to listen.
<Character>: Which is why you kidnapped <Dragon>, Raven, and Ostromir?
Eulin Verriton IV: I was already on the run, since my first expedition here wasn't exactly authorized. I had to bring something back to show for it.
Eulin Verriton IV: But my father was unimpressed. And well, I couldn't leave my friends locked up! So when I saw my opportunity, I led them to the portal to The Beyond.
Eulin Verriton IV: I wouldn't have let anything bad happen to them! My father may be strict, but he isn't cruel. Your friends would not have been harmed.
<Character>: Please don't do it again, Prince Eulin. You claim to want to open diplomatic dialogue between your people and ours.
<Character>: Arbitrary kidnappings are never a good idea for that.
Eulin Verriton IV: Consider your advice heeded! I have big ideas, but I clearly have much to learn.

    (before Ambition's Crossroads)

<Character>: How are you doing, <Dragon>?

If you have a Dragon Amulet:
    <Dragon>: It's comfy out here!
<Dragon>: When I go into the ruins, my scales prickle.
<Dragon>: I don't know what's waiting for us in there, but we'll have to be on our guard.

If you don't have a Dragon Amulet:
    <Dragon>: *Relaxed grumble*

    Vseslava and Ostromir
    (before Ambition's Crossroads)

Vseslava: What do they mean, resources are pre-emptively occupied?
Ostromir: Shapeless knows. The border village incident must have been quite severe for them to spread the investigation so thin, though.
Vseslava: Of all the- oh, apologies, we didn't see you there, <Character>.
    <Character>: Hello, Vseslava, Ostromir.
    Ostromir: <Character>.
<Character>: Is everything okay? What's this about Ignominious?
Ostromir: Nothing to worry about. Just the usual bureaucracy and inter-departmental politics.
Vseslava: The Shapeless wills it so.
<Character>: That reminds me, whenever I encountered Magesters who used magic, they required those uh, floating blue people.
<Character>: What's that all about? Do you need them as well?
Vseslava: Those, <Character>, are the Ignominious. For many Magesters, they are required to perform acts of magic. But we are the Golden Hand.
Vseslava: One of the privileges afforded to us by the Shapeless is that we have some capacity for magic on our own.
Ostromir: Of course, traveling so much, our exposure to...

Ostromir: ...The Shapeless's gift is much more limited.
Ostromir: Regardless, we also have a number of focus crystals to use as backup to power our suits and tools...
Ostromir: ...should we find ourselves unable to use our own mana for whatever reason.
<Character>: You mentioned the Shapeless' gift? What's that?
    Vseslava: A gift.
    Ostromir: From the Shapeless.
    <Character>: ...
Ostromir: Oh, I hate it when you look at me like that.
    Vseslava: Ostromir!
    Ostromir: What, s/he's a hero, isn't s/he? I'm sure it's fine.
    Vseslava: Hmph.
Ostromir: It is a source of magic that only the Shapeless' chosen may draw from.
Ostromir: It allows the Magesters to perform extraordinary feats of magic as the Shapeless wills.
Ostromir: However, prolonged exposure to it may have some... adverse effects on one's natural ability to use magic.
Ostromir: My personal theory is that by using it, one's soul is gradu–
    Vseslava: Ostromir.
<Character>: Come on, it was just getting interesting!
Vseslava: Apologies, <Character>, but the secrets of the Shapeless are not yours to bear.
Vseslava: Besides, we have a mission to attend to, do we not?
Ostromir: That's right. Hmm. I bet some of the research teams back home would give much to be able to examine these ruins in person.
Ostromir: We must be sure to borrow some samples. Vseslava, I'm almost certain these could be connected to... you know...
    Vseslava: Perhaps...
<Character>: I'll leave you to it then.
Vseslava: Ah, apologies for our rudeness. When this business is all over, maybe you could return with us to Nieboheim.
Vseslava: If approved by the Magesterium and the Shapeless, you may have your answers then.
Ostromir: Now where did I put that wrench?

    Eulin Verriton IV
(after A Shocking Discovery, before Ambition's Crossroads)

    Eulin Verriton IV: Greetings, <Character>!
<Character>: Hello, Prince Eulin. I hope your accomodations have been satisfactory? Ostromir hasn't been rude to you, I hope?
Eulin Verriton IV: Ostromir has been distant, but hospitable, although, likely out of politeness than any real care or respect. But I've encountered such before! This won't be the last.
Eulin Verriton IV: Vseslava has been kinder, and these lodgings are quite comfortable, indeed. I also ingested a bottle of their 'Murshrom Brew'. Surprisingly not undelicious.
<Character>: Do you mind if I ask you some questions about you and your home?
Eulin Verriton IV: I'd prefer asking you more about The Beyond! But I understand. The allure and majesty of the Manufactory calls to all. What would you ask of me?

<Character>: You don't seem too surprised to see humans. Are there humans in the Manufactory?
Eulin Verriton IV: Humans are quite rare, but do exist. They are the premier scholars of Beyondspeech, although I don't think many, if any, have been to The Beyond themselves.
Vseslava: Curious. Something to note, Ostromir. Prince Eulin, have you heard of humans dressed as we do, perhaps?
Eulin Verriton IV: I've definitely never seen or heard of sparkly humans like The Golden Hand. But the Plains are a big world. Anyway, back to the topic at hand:
Eulin Verriton IV: There are those like myself who study Beyondspeech for its similarities and roots in Ancientspeech.

Vseslava: Prince Eulin, you are not to...
    Eulin Verriton IV: Excuse me?
Ostromir: Let it go, Vseslava. With the Proclamation rifts as they are, they'll learn sooner or later.
Vseslava: Very well. I... apologize, Prince Eulin. I meant no offense.
Eulin Verriton IV: None taken, gracious hosts. As I was saying, regarding our world...

<Character>: Can you tell me more about the Manufactory?
Eulin Verriton IV: The Manufactory is the crown jewel of the Energy Plains! A massive city and factory, the center of innovation. And also my almost birthright.

    Vseslava

<Character>: Hey, Vseslava. I wanted to check in on you. Since Ostromir's missing... How are you doing?
Vseslava: Fine. And I... I don't need your sympathy, if that is what you're offering.
<Character>: I... just wanted to check in. Ostromir isn't the only one missing. <Dragon>, Eulin, and Raven too. Everyone is helping with the search.
Vseslava: Let the underlings search. We still have our mission to complete.
<Character>: Oh. Um. I didn't expect such a cold response.
Vseslava: I am a Magester of the Shapeless Empire, <Character>. Whatever my personal feelings, my job just became much, much harder.
Vseslava: So yes. While I am worried, and I am sorry your friends are missing, I must be focused on my duty here now more than ever.
Vseslava: Something... serious is happening back home in the Empire. And here I am, a world away. And now I am alone. This job is all I can focus on.
    Vseslava: It's...
Vseslava: It's... a much needed distraction.
    <Character>: I... see.
<Character>: We'll do our best to find Ostromir. And everyone else. We won't rest until they're safe.
Vseslava: Then go. Get out there.
    Vseslava: And... thank you.

    <Dragon>
    (after Grinding Gears)

    <Character>: I'm so glad you're back, <Dragon>! I was so worried!

If you have a Dragon Amulet:
<Dragon>: You should have seen me! I was fighting and biting and clawing and breathing my way through The Manufactory!
<Dragon>: Raven and Ostromir owe me their lives, I'm pretty sure.
<Dragon>: Those Lagohm didn't know what hit them! It was me!
<Character>: I'm so proud of you, <Dragon>. You're pretty much a dragon hero now!
    <Dragon>: A hungry dragon hero!
<Character>: We'll get you something to eat later. I'm just happy you're okay.
<Dragon>: Then let's get going to this rift thingy already!

If you don't have a Dragon Amulet:
    <Dragon>: *Happy chirp!*
    <Dragon>: *Hungry growl...*
<Character>: Yep, you're still you. Now let's find us a rift!

    Vseslava and Ostromir
    (after Grinding Gears)

    Vseslava: Hey, <Character>.
<Character>: Hi, Vseslava. Hi, Ostromir. Reunited once more, eh?
Ostromir: Yes. It is a relief. No matter how many times I have-
Vseslava: Having both of us here is more efficient.
Ostromir: What? Er- right. Do not worry, <Character>. We are back to working hard.
<Character>: What was it like through the rift? The Manufactory must have been something very different from what we've seen on Lore, right?
    Ostromir: The city was a-
    Vseslava: Ostromir!
Ostromir: Come on, Vseslava. It would be more suspicious if I didn't share this very new and unknown information with our allies, would it not?
Vseslava: I... suppose it will be okay. That Raven girl and the dragon went through as well, so it will be shared regardless.
Ostromir: Exactly! <Character>, the city, the Manufactory, is a mechanical metal mess of gears and Energy.
Ostromir: There is an order to the chaos though. Prince Eulin does not overstate the complications of ruling such a place.
Ostromir: But the city itself sits on a barren lightning scarred plain. Someone attuned with Energy may find it beautiful in its own way...
Ostromir: But it just made my hair stand on end. Not an unusual occurence in the-
    Vseslava: *cough*
Ostromir: Yes, I know. I hope I answered your curiosity, <Character>.
<Character>: One of these days Vseslava won't be fast enough to catch you, Ostromir. And then I will have my knowledge!
Ostromir: You tease, <Character>. But I will be watching myself closer from now on too. There are many secrets that are not mine to reveal.
Vseslava: We should get back to our preparations. Another time, <Character>.
<Character>: Right. I shouldn't be distracting you. Talk to you two later.

    Mritha
    (before Ambition's Crossroads)

    Mritha: Hey, <Character>.
    <Character>: Hi Mritha! How's Odgne?
Mritha: She's as well as a dragon can be. Currently on perimeter duty to make sure we're not disturbed in our expedition into the ruins.
<Character>: I'm sure we can rely on her!
    Mritha: Certainly.
<Character>: Weren't you leading the Vind forces in Amityvale? I'm surprised you're out here.
Mritha: Well, there are plenty of other DragonLords to help out.
Mritha: And the Amityvale front isn't nearly as exciting as this!
Mritha: These ruins are older than old...
Mritha: Odgne thinks they may have been rebuilt and repurposed multiple times over the ages by different settlers.
Mritha: With the nomad tribes having left this one, who knows what sort of new discoveries we could make about history here?
<Character>: It's definitely something to keep an eye out for, but our first priority is to find the rift focus.
Mritha: Of course! And I'm here to help with that too.

    Kara SuLema
    (before Ambition's Crossroads)

<Character>: Hello, Kara. How are you doing?
Kara SuLema: I'm well, thank you for asking, <Character>.
Kara SuLema: Jaania is doing better now too, from what I can tell.
Kara SuLema: I only hope that she takes our conversations to heart.
<Character>: It seems like you've been awfully concerned about her. Is there any particular reason why?
Kara SuLema: She is, no, was a dear friend in the past.
Kara SuLema: At least, that's how I thought of her.
Kara SuLema: It pains me to see her so conflicted and lost now.
<Character>: Does this have anything to do with what happened when I was frozen?
Kara SuLema: Yes. It has everything to do with that time.
Kara SuLema: I'm sure you've heard whispers of the one known as Yalla?
Kara SuLema: She was an ancient Arch-Druid who awoke some time after you were frozen.
Kara SuLema: And she was a wind elf. An ancient, powerful, and furious elf, who had woken to find her groves and people scattered to the winds of time.
Kara SuLema: As such a legendary ancestor, she had a... connection to those of us who had hid away from the rest of Lore.
Kara SuLema: And in her fury, she called upon the wind elves, summoning us and the creatures of the land to her aid, to enact her vengeance.
<Character>: Did you have a choice? Were you forced to answer the summons?
Kara SuLema: We were not forced, no. We always had a choice. But when such a revered being returned and called out...
Kara SuLema: Many answered who yearned for power, or glory, or favor in the new world to come.
Kara SuLema: Families were torn, as those of us who remained could only wait as our brethren left, never to return.
<Character>: I assume things didn't end well for Yalla and her followers then?
Kara SuLema: Jaania and her budding Rose wiped out the invasion.
Kara SuLema: With Jaania's power unleashed, none could stand in her path.
<Character>: Did you not hold a grudge against her? Many of you must have lost family and friends...
Kara SuLema: Many did and still do. But I know she was acting in defense of her own.
    Kara SuLema: It was justified.

    Kara SuLema: But swift.
Kara SuLema: And then, in their zeal, Jaania and her army followed the remnants of the elves back to the Dreamwood, our homeland.
Kara SuLema: Where those of us who had no interest in war remained.
Kara SuLema: She began weaving terrible magic, to enact vengeance against us in retribution for those who had fallen under Yalla's influence.
Kara SuLema: We pleaded with her, sent gifts and goods, anything to delay our demise.
Kara SuLema: In our final attempt, I volunteered as envoy, and took with me a special gift.
Kara SuLema: A certain mirror that we hoped could show her the consequences of her actions.
    <Character>: Wait...
    <Character>: You!

<Character>: You were the one who gave her the mirror!
<Character>: That same mirror that she's been obsessed with!
Kara SuLema: Yes. And it saved us. And at the time, I could never have foreseen...
Kara SuLema: It was an old artifact, languishing in our vaults. From where it originated, we did not know.
Kara SuLema: But it was said that those who stared into it would see the outcomes of their desires.
Kara SuLema: Jaania accepted the gift, looked into the mirror, and ceased her attack on the Dreamwood.
Kara SuLema: Her transformation was miraculous.
Kara SuLema: She immediately began to send us aid to help rebuild, along with emissaries and messengers of her new organization, The Rose.
Kara SuLema: I was assigned to be an ambassador, to meet with Jaania and discuss how best to bring our people together.
<Character>: And that's how you came to know her so well.
Kara SuLema: Yes. We spent much time together, discussing plans for a peaceful Lore.

    Kara SuLema: All seemed well.
Kara SuLema: But such joy was not to last. The conflict could not be forgotten so easily, and as The Rose expanded, Jaania grew more distant...
Kara SuLema: My apologies, <Character>, but we must continue the tale another time. These are painful recollections.
    <Character>: I understand.
Kara SuLema: Thank you. Let's focus on stopping this rift, then.

    Eulin Verriton IV
(after A Shocking Discovery, before Ambition's Crossroads)

    Eulin Verriton IV: Greetings, <Character>!
<Character>: Hello, Prince Eulin. I hope your accomodations have been satisfactory?
Eulin Verriton IV: I'm certainly quite used to better, but as a stranger to The Beyond, I suppose I must temper my expectations somewhat. Kara has been most kind, at least.

Mritha: I could introduce you to Odgne, a full-grown dragon, if you'd like.
Eulin Verriton IV: Er, no, that's quite alright! Thank you!

    Mritha
(after Ambition's Crossroads, before Grinding Gears)

<Character>: Hey Mritha, any word from Odgne?
    Mritha: Sorry, <Character>. Nothing substantial.
Mritha: Well, nothing really. Whatever happened to them, it's like they disappeared without a trace.
Mritha: And the search of the ruins is going slower due to it's own unique threats.
If you have a Dragon Amulet:
Mritha: Have you tried... reaching out to <Dragon>? Even though <Dragon> is still young, you're a powerful DragonLord... perhaps...
      <Character>: Of course I have! I... I haven't heard anything.
Mritha: I'm sorry, <Character>. I should have assumed you already tried.
Mritha: We will find them. Even if we have to go to the ends of Lore. Or beyond.
<Character>: Thanks, Mritha. And please, tell Odgne thanks from me too.

    Kara SuLema
(after Ambition's Crossroads, before Grinding Gears)

Kara SuLema: Hello, <Character>. I want you to know we're doing all we can to find <Dragon> and the others.
Kara SuLema: If there's anything more I or the Vind can do to help, please, let me know.
Kara SuLema: But in the meantime, make sure you get your rest, okay?
<Character>: Thanks, Kara. It's just... I feel like every moment we spend here not out searching, is another minute lost.
Kara SuLema: The Vind, Swordhaven's knights that accompanied the Golden Hand, even The Rose- everyone is helping. Trust them to do their best.
<Character>: I know, I know, but that's the thing. They're not me. I could do more. Should do more.
    Kara SuLema: Oh, <Character>.
Kara SuLema: I know you're struggling, but you're no use to them worn out and run ragged.
Kara SuLema: I'll call you over when your shift comes up. And if we get any information- any at all- you'll be the first to know.
    <Character>: I... Thanks, I guess.
Kara SuLema: We'll find <Dragon> and the others. I promise.

    Mritha
    (after Grinding Gears)

Mritha: Hey there, <Character>. You must be relieved that <Dragon> is back!
<Character>: I am. But how are you? Are you ready to tackle the rift?
Mritha: I am. Odgne will keep watch from outside, so we shouldn't be interrupted by anything too unexpected.
Mritha: Provided the Prince doesn't betray us again.
<Character>: You don't trust him after what he did?
Mritha: I certainly trust him less. Kara says we should forgive him for his mistakes, but he'll have to earn that forgiveness from me, at least.
<Character>: I can understand that. Thanks for your perspective, Mritha.
Mritha: Happy to provide it. Take care, <Character>.

    Kara SuLema
    (after Grinding Gears)

<Character>: Hello, Kara. I was wondering what your take on all of this would be.
Kara SuLema: Hello, <Character>. I assume you are referring to Prince Eulin's misjudged actions?
<Character>: He kidnapped <Dragon>, Raven, and Ostromir. Misjudged actions might be putting it lightly.
Kara SuLema: Perhaps. But to him, it was the only logical path to take. Such was his upbringing.
Kara SuLema: I can see that he strives to open his mind and learn, and so I am perhaps quicker to forgive his mistakes.
Kara SuLema: His actions do have their consequences, even internally, in his anxiety.
Kara SuLema: And of course, there must be limits to what can be tolerated. But he is trying to change not just himself, but his entire culture.
Kara SuLema: I can forgive some generous missteps for such a noble cause.
<Character>: Some might interpret what you're saying as the ends justifying the means.
Kara SuLema: The ends justify some means, <Character>. And while mistakes are made and forgiven, they are not forgotten or dismissed.
Kara SuLema: They are still mistakes, to be revisited and learned from. Prince Eulin seems like a quick study, too.
<Character>: Kidnapping <Dragon> put me through a lot. I don't know if I will be so quick to forgive him.
Kara SuLema: And I don't demand you do so, either. Just... please consider this a moment to teach, rather than shun.
<Character>: I'll see if I can, Kara. It won't be the easiest thing I've done.
Kara SuLema: But the both of you will be better for it. Trust me.

    Eulin Verriton IV
    (after Grinding Gears)

As original dialogue, with one additional option:
  • How are you doing?
<Character>: Is everything okay, Prince Eulin? Seems like you're going through a lot right now.
Eulin Verriton IV: I'm um... stressed.
